I honestly don't remember. I bought it a long time ago. But the suits are fairly common. Try a different system and make sure to go to a major space station. Or switch to solo mode
It looks so easy, but I can't find any biology on planets. I'm scanning, then flying and driving around on blue zones and literally found nothing. It's very frustrating for me to search for bio/geo on surfaces
If you've used the Detailed Surface Scanner then it should be pretty easy to find them. Some plants are hard to find so try flying lower to the ground until you can spot them.
You got only much credits for bonus of first discovering. If anyone scanned a plant before (inculde giving data to vg) you get not that much. Find a undiscovered planet, not an already discovered planet to get the chance for bonus. Or go to passenger missions or AFK combat.

@@lootandgrind Yeah, the new tutorial is pretty complicated. New tools, new missions, new weapons... it's almost like it's not a space dogfighting game anymore.
So I want to ask a question. we need to collect 3 of the same kind. some planets have different types. When we collect 3 of the same type and then collect another type, does that first type we collect cancel? How many different species can we collect at once on one planet? Can we collect different species and sell them at once? Can we collect and sell one species and then repeat this process? in my last question; Is the kind we collect sold for the same price in every star system? thanks
Yes, you can scan multiple plants. For example, if a planet has 3 different plants, you can scan them all. After finishing the 3 scans, you can start scanning the next one. And yes, prices are same on every system. Also, after you scan a plant on a planet, you can not scan it again. But if you find that same plant on another planet or moon, you can scan it to get the same amount of credits.
This guide rather glossed over exactly how to find the specific plants on the surface… and I don’t buy the claims over how much money you can make in an hour. It takes over a minute to jump between systems, and can easily take 10 minutes to get to a planet surface (more if slowing down to scan first).
I think I should've had clarified things better in the video. If you start at a space station and go to a planet, scan plants, and make it back to station it will take way more than 10 minutes. What I wanted to show was that scanning just 3 plants was enough to make 20 million. And that takes less than 10 minutes. If you used the Spansh website to create a route you can easily jump between systems and make the whole process more efficient. You don't have to sell data right away to scan another plant. Use the website and plan the route and I can guarantee you'll make over 100m an hour.
Yeah, I get that bit. But after scanning the planet and landing in an area marked blue, I often have to fly over the planet surface (at less than 200m) for quite a while before finding the items I need to scan. On several planets I visited today, the sites were too far apart to realistically use the SRV, I had to get back in the ship for each one.
Thanks. Also, if you plan ahead, you can earn more. I usually use the Neutron Plotter to find at least 10 systems to jump to. Most systems have 2-3 planets with exobio. And I use the ship to find and scan plants without getting into the SRV. If you find planets with Stratum plant, it's 19mil per scan. But yeah if you want to relax and enjoy the process, it'll take time.
This is a good guide, but your thumbnail is click-baity as hell. The amount of time you'll spend traveling to the places that have plants, landing on the surface, finding the three sets of certain plants, returning that data to a shop for money, this method is actually one of the slowest in the game for making money.
I understand it seems that way. But once you get used to it this takes less time. For example, I don't get into my SRV to search plants. I use the ship. Its way faster. And you don't have to return to the shop to sell data every time. I usually wait until I visit at least 10 or more planets and sell them all at once. The Stratum plant alone is worth 19 million. You can easily get 3 samples of that under 10 minutes.
@@lootandgrind Yes, but getting three samples in 10 minutes isn't what's required to make the money. You also have to factor in the searching time, the time spent looking at external websites, the travel time. All those add up, and the ten planets you visit before turning in your samples are actually hours of game play. It's not 10 minutes.
Literally picked up the game after 2 years of not playing it. In 5 days time, I made enough credits to buy and fully kit out (but not engineer) an Anaconda... This bio-sampling stuff is seriously no joke.
