As all the ones I have found. Are 4 years or more. Out of date. And most of the people who did them. Are no longer making YT video's.

Yea I was able to try Thargoid huntin with this pre built ship, but that is not enough, one needs skill and practice, but I was able to try at least.

What are you talking about with regard to the engine sounds. It's fantastic. Sci-fi smooth, deep with a texture of industrial grit without being overly irritating to hear or horrid metal rattling sounds like the diamondback explorer or the keelback. That was a bit over the top for me to hear all the time boosting. It's a great ship so far! Might be my favorite of all.

When I started, just after buying an eagle and making it optimized. I tried my first planet landing and blew it up by crashing it.

Asking for money to skip the grind is admitting that the grind sucks. Sucks so much that people would pay not to do it.

Does it not just get you to the perimeter of the box that much quicker? Have they made those boxes bigger now, perhaps? It does look like quite good fun.

Ive heard this ship is questionable in combat against the goids but in my experience ive managed to get some kills on proper interceptors with it

Accepted an Odysee Settlement Massacre Mission yesterday. Was sent into a fucking Military Base racked with defense grids and rocket launchers. I still attempted to kill my targets regardless, and oh boy I've never seen my ship parked nearby evaporate that fast 💀 Goes without saying the rest of my pilot followed swiftly, these NPCs didn't fuck around for sure. Better check where a mission sends you unless you want to have nasty surprises. Oh and I had the funny idea once when I was new to repair my Thrusters. Midair at 500m above the ground, and that I can tell you, I was never more awake on this day as my ship fell like a stone than on this particular day ☠

I use a type 9 with a full complement of engineered mining lasers. Can fire forever without overheating or running out of power with one pip short in weapons. 512k tons of space, plat only. Takes me about an hour to clear 400 tons. But I'm running out of my carrier in parrot's head at a triple overlap. Wanted to add that I still make more money per hour running Robigo/Sothis.

I love this ship, but the large landing pad requirement keeps me from using it as much as I want to. If Frontier fixed it to just needing a medium pad, I'm sure it would quickly become one of the most popular ships in the game.

I have and somewhat underwhelmed. I dont have as many limpets (6) as i went for cargo space. I do have a shielded build with an enhanced low power lo-draw prismatic, enhanced distro and power plant, 4 Torval mining lasers. It's just ok to me. Oh, i have a fuel scoop also. The best thing about it truly is the SCO.

Another great video, I've always really enjoyed your style of ED videos. I've built a core miner type 8 and it has replaced my old core mining ships - I prefer it to the Python and the Clipper for that. I have only laser mined a few rocks with it (mine has 3 class 1 mining lasers) so not got much experience with it there, but I completely agree I love seeing the lasers on the forward pylons working. Overall really enjoying using the type 8.

Alright, bud, for the algorithm. TL;DR The T8 won't beat out the Python, and you said why yourself. Efficiency. As others have pointed out, the T8 comes alive with Torval mining lasers. The distro just can't handle anything else. If there's one thing no one should do, it's being pledged to friggin Zemina Torval. What a waste of time. Secondly, if there's one thing you should be, it's efficient. The T8 is neither. It's under distro'd, powered, armed, and shielded. The Python has none of those problems. It takes longer to fill the bloated hull of a T8 vs. the Python. The mumbers alone spell that out. To sum up, the Python is still the best ship in the game for most everything. To include the junior python aka krait mk2. The T8 is the best medium hauler. That is all. Cheers.

That is literally the best robot voice I have ever heard.

The game should begin with the player being rewarded for correctly identifying their contact based on a provided description. Every time I see the lounge I think of how inconspicuous a "contact" would be if they stood at a standing table. The contacts look so out of place standing with their backs to the windows. They remind me of Odo the constable from DS9. Finding the contacts and avoiding the police should be the first step in becoming an elite mercenary.

I built mine for mining and yes having all those limpets makes for short work

Skill issue. You can follow the rotation of the asteroids to minimize the travel distance for the limpets as you deplete the rock. That way you can minimize the number of active collectors you need. At least, that's what you can do with the Python. I don't know, if you can pull off that maneuver with the Type 8.

I would change out the D rated prospector for an A rated. The yield is better with an A rated for laser mining. And cut back on the collectors. I'm hoping the type 8 will replace my python miner I have set up do all mining types. But I'm not getting it until it comes out for credits.

The awesome yaw rate also makes it superior to the Python.

I think I'll stick with my type 10 defender for mining More Cargo space you only really need 5 collectors and 2 prospectors to grind, and I like being able too take out any random pirate.
