  • After a fierce cross-examination by prosecutors, Alex Murdaugh’s lawyer Jim Griffin walked him through his initial testimony in less than 30 minutes, summarizing his story to the jury. Griffin ended his redirect by asking the disgraced lawyer if he killed Maggie and Paul on June 7, 2021, to which he replied no and doubled down on his claims of innocence.

If you were on trial for murder, you would study the evidence too. You would also go through practice "testimony". You would think your answers through, as the prosecution is just that... Prosecution. Even when being honest, you answer carefully. Basic human nature. He is more comfortable with his atty, as anyone would be. You judge based on evidence, testimony, consistency. You don't judge based on what you think he is thinking when questioned. Anyone would think their answer through, unless they don't care.

Right... exactly true. Which is exactly one of the reasons that I think he may be innocent to the murders. I thought he was guilty as Sin at first. Then the more I started following this case, the more it literally makes no sense. What makes more sense is that he was paranoid/on pills and so used to lying that he didn't think these would come back to bite him in the butt. Also, I think he's just super awkward in general, so I was reading him wrong during the initial interviews(in the car). I think he was on pills and super paranoid that they already suspected him.. and the fear of that just took over. I don't think that the Alex on pills did a good job being under the spotlight.. bc he already was in such a dark/weird space. On an animal level, we pick up on when other humans are dishonest. I feel like that's what snowballed all this but we will see. They def don't have any hard evidence against him for the murders, that I know of.

@@mollyram2997 true, there is no gun with his fingerprints om it or picture of him shooting them. But him being om the snapshot video that had never been sent, the fact that he said to have touched the bodies yet was clean as a slate, and telling he wanted to do something with the phone 'that fell out of P's pocket when turning him over (why should he do that) and while telling that in the car he paused, immediately stopped crying because he seemed to realise he gave too much away setting there without blood spatter. He lied almost all his life. I bet 'Mags' and 'PowPow' whom he stupidely forgot to call them that way during interrogations, now only for the jury to manipulate them, have found some pills in hun and that he was fed up and blew their brains off.
