"Well, my father called me Nikola and then I kiiiiiiilllled him."
"He got really boring, and I'm a monster!"
The fact that she says these so cheerily with such an unsettling tone is fantastic. I quite like her. Though I don't like that she decided to hurt and threaten our dear Archivist. That's no good.
Her voice is such a real treasure to listen to. I love it so much.
4:39 for anyone who has been backstage for something (dance performance, orchestra, etc) this is a VERY good descriptor. It's like.... uncanny valley but for a place.
Those poor people. I kinda had the feeling that Tommy really had a thing for Jackson which makes what happened to Bucoda so much sadder.
Hearing Johnathon mispronounce Washington State place names is fun for me.
Nikola scared me as bad as Michael did when he first showed up. These monsters are all so creepy and I don't even know what they looks like. Amazing.
im actually really surprised to find out TMA was popular on TikTok at some point, even if it was a single clip.. istg it always feels like one of those things only 10 people in my whole country know.
The old lady was probably Gertrude, tbh
I think so too
Who was the blue eyed guy with her?
@@trucetruce335 probably Micheal
@@dannymern6425 No badly died hair was mentioned so it's probably not Gerry
Truce Truce Probably Jan Kilbride, the Daedalus crew member who was targeted by The Vast. She apparently killed him and threw his remains into the pit to counteract The Buried’s ritual
I was driving home on a long car trip alone at night and this came on and I swear to god I almost swerved off the road. I got chills like crazy and I had to pull over and turn on all the lights. Good sound design and voice acting!
Everyone is talking about TiKtoK and here i came just for VA Jonathan because he sound so similar to narrator slay the princess cuz i love the game and voice acting!
I really really didn't expect him to start talking about MY city
Getting to this video and seeing how the replay graph is entirely flatlined until the end is the most terrifying thing ever. I haven't gotten to the peak yet.
Update: WHAT
Ever since I started listening to this podcast youtube has been constantly recomending me this episode under every video.
I guess youtube didnt want me to Ignore The Pit.
The ending scare the shit out of me
For whatever reason the imagery was so clear and it had me frozen for the first time in this series. Well done, damn
Hearing Nikola's voice gave me the shivers, Jessica Law did a wonderful job!
CAN EVERYONE STOP HURTING JON!?! PLEASE!!!
Gertrude turned to Jan and said "Bottomless pit? Not after I throw you in."
I originally found out about The Magnus Archives from TikTok, but now I’m on the 2nd season and I lowkey love it. It’s so well done and has an interesting story so far.
Nikola cracks me up ngl
I’ve finally gotten to the episode that made me listen to the Magnus archives!
Don't turn on the light
Oh wow, this feels nostalgic. Can't believe I finally made it back here. This was the episode that made me discover Magnus Archives because of well, that TikTok trend (though I saw it on RUclips as a short). Didn't realize it was this one until I saw that I had already liked this video and the realization hit me that I came back to this (didn't listen to the whole thing the first time, just that part, then went to listen to the first episode lol). Gosh, I love this series / podcast, so grateful I encountered it.
This was the soundclip that got me to start listening to this series!!! Worth it 💕
Hands off Martin’s man like jfc
Me: **half asleep**
Lightbulb: **blows**
Me: 😨
Jon: **chill**
Me: 😰
I've literally searched everywhere for this podcast
Hey, you found it! You can also listen on spotify or any designated podcast app (I use PocketCast) but I know when you're listening to your first ever podcast you don't want to get an app or anything.
oh man for the longest time i heard that one scene from here flying around back when i still had tiktok and was like “wtf is the magnus archives?” i never decided to find out right until my sister started talking about it to me, and then she got me into it and… now i’m here! crazy to hear this again with full context haha
21:00 my first real introduction to the Magnus Archives and it's this audio lol
I feel like Nikola will be one of those "I love to hate her" sort of characters. She just sounds so saccharine, condescending and Fake, you know? This podcast is so good!!!
My father called me nicolah....tHeN i KiLlEd HiM
“hOw cOuLd I sOuNd aNytHiNg lOve iM PlAsTiC”
Okay, this is cool! I was born and raised in Washington, now live in Oregon and I drive past this on I5 all the time on my way to and from my old home. All of these stories have been so far away that I had to sort of imagine it more. However, I know my home state well this will be interesting!
The last few minutes were actually even scarier this time around (doing a complete re-listen of the whole podcast). My scalp is still prickling. Brrr. Excellent work.
i live in WA and the way he pronounces Chehalis incorrectly amuses me lol
SAME
Same 🤣
THIS IS WHERE THE AUDIO COMES FROM?! OMG OMG I GOT SO EXCITED
Y aquí estoy, sin saber 100% inglés pero dándola toda para entender estos podcasts. Pd: ya aprendí que era pit :D
Who else is here from TikTok🤠
yessss
yUp
I mean I'm glad this podcast is being shared with more people but why the heck is this on TikTok
Violet - 111 it was for some weird POV 😂
Yup was so curious
The Washington Creature reminds me of an ant lion.
I found this for a video idea and now I kinda wanna listen to the whole podcast.
Okay guys, finally here all caught up after finding this on tiktok. My life changed, i loved every second of this podcast so far
Nikola sounds so proud of themself when she says “I used all the bits :D” she’s trying hard not to spook Jon so much! It’s all “don’t do that you won’t like it” in their own twisted way she’s trying to be civil with The Archivist! she just wants to live laugh love in the apocalypse
Honestly girlboss behavior
I heard the part where Nikola says she's plastic a couple of time from... TikTok, I suppose ? I never really knew where the sound came from, I just thought it was cool... I freaked out when she started to say "How could I sound anything, silly ?" and I litteraly shouted "I'M PLASTIC !!" in my room ! It was so nice and I love that quote even more now !!!
