- GOD FUCKING DAMN a full year since i drew the storyboard for this thing. Im so glad its done bc im really not too happy with how some of it turned out LOL you can really see the difference in age between the first shot (very first shot i finished) and the last shot (very last shot i finished) ... i guess im proud of some parts of this, at the very least its a milestone for me to finish a long animation, fully animated, background, color and shading, editing, like this. i havent done anything like this before and i think it does show, but at least ive got the experience now and i can apply it to any similar future stuff.
Also, im sorry for cutting it off so suddenly at the end, my motivation just tapered and the only way i was gonna get this any kind of polished was by cutting the final scene i planned. oops :(
anyway, i hope you all enjoy! while im not really into tma any more these characters r always gonna have a place in my heart n i hope current and past fans can enjoy this equally!

The way the Helen warps and tosses Jon around is SO GOOD!! I also really love the character acting and the lighting of the environment. Jon taunting Helen and being so INTIMIDATING!!!
The way i gasped when i realized this was an entire two minutes of shaded, comped frame by frame animation and not just an animatic... ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!! the environments... the character acting.. jons smug lil expressions... HIS FANGS!!!! ur style is so cool aaaaa will definitely be showing this around to my tma buddies!
I love how deranged you make Jon look and how abstract Helens realm is, they're really good fits!

' was that... a lie?" the way you animated Jon's face there and the cut to the side-profile. This whole thing is amazingly fluid and creative but that in particular was truly fantastic, this is amazing and I love how eldritch and intimidating they both are

You know what? You're totally right. This scene absolutely was a David Bowie's Labyrinth "you have no power over me" moment.
The character design is WONDERFUL. I love drawing the Distortion with sharp teeth, but seeing Jon with them as well adds a new, visual layer to his arc. There are fewer distinctions between him and the other monsters

The style is soooooo good 😩 and I love all the design choices. The fangs, the expressions, the overall characters; it's all a treat for the eyes. Right when I'm close to finishing my current re-binge of the series. Thank you!

AH! You did animation, character personality through movement and facial expression, lighting, lip syncing, FULL color *and* Backgrounds. You portrayed her domain so well. I usually struggle with some of the finer details when imagining podcast environments but you gave this one such life that it's gonna be all I see when I hear this audio, its amazing!
the sound design in this scene was so incredible you captured exactly how disconcerting i thought this scene felt
I love how Tiny jon is (and how his teeth get all sharp??) so much about this, with the artstyle and how they move, reminds me of what my brain's categorized as early 2000s cartoons, for some reason; i can almost imagine tuning in to watch this on the living room tv. It's really fun to watch!

This was so good! Even after relistening to the show a few times, this is what got me to fully understand what happened in this scene. And the animation choices, how the characters moved, lighting, color, the door slowly closing in front of her eye… I think I audibly gasped at the perspective change when he says “was that … a lie?”
THE ANIMATION IS SO GODDAMN SMOOTH OMFG. This is amazing, I love their expressions and the way Helen hides behind the door lol. YOURE SO UNDERRATED AAAAAAAH!!

i did some of the storyboard for the smiting but by the time i got round to animate it i was so burnt out on the project i just couldnt do it lol

You made Jon look so feral, I love it. And I love how creative you got with how the environment changes every time Helens shifts it. I literally went "Aw man!" when the video ended before Jon kills Helen, I wanted to see more!

Y’all I absolutely LOVE how you interpreted the sounds of the environment, and how Helen, and /especially/ Jon, interacted with them! You really did improve a lot since your first shot (read the description), and honestly if TMA were an animated TV show this is how i would want this to be framed. This is absolutely amazing, and I am definitely saving this to my TMA playlist and watching again a dozen times. Phenomenal animation, definitely hope to see some more of your work in the future!

It is one of my absolute favorite episodes, so BLESS you for adding to the amazing animatics in this community. I'm probably not gonna make any more unfortunately :') but I do have an idea for a tma animation set to music that I've had in my head for a while now so that may come out eventually

This is SO well done?? The colors, the ambience- you did a great job depicting the chaos and having Jon with those sharp, fearl teeth seldom so good how far of his humanity he has gone by this point (plus make his smug expressions so much more intimidating)

Augghhh I did have a plan for that scene but I only got through the storyboard stage before I lost motivation :[ I'm not planning on doing any more TMA animations but maybe I'll redo the storyboards and post them you never know!
