Ok, so as a guy who has litterally seen like... the first... i wanna say 10 episodes? Maybe 5... not seen a lot, here's my read on this.
My friend who told me about this wanted to know what i thought was going on through this series, so i wanna share my thoughts on this video, cause im getting some seriously mixed messages, and i imagine there's some fans of this series who would love to vicariously enjoy being clueless about this much like i am.
So first, there's the archivist. Who does the archive stuff.
0:32 then he ... uhh, turns gelatinous... maybe he is becoming a shadow? In any case, he is less then human anymore, and this girl, who enjoys his company, is rightly, a little perturbed
1:33 my understanding is that this dude, who i wanna say his name is jhon. The archivist, is in the process of watching everyone he knows and loves die around him,
2:31 then another of his friends, pulled a Wilbur arc, and decided he was going to blow stuff up. I suppose the archives. Maybe to protect the archivist? Or to kill the archivist, since again, refer to the first time stamp, he is becoming less then human.
2:37 AND IT WORKS... ish, he blasts this guy back to being human. (Yeah i dunno but I've been told weird stuff happens here, so I'm just kinda rolling with the cards as I'm dealt them) and he ends up being looked after in a hospital... maybe there was a monster who was part of this dude? He was like... the "archivist" whereas this dudes just the vessel for the creature, and with the shadow gelatin monster gone, he is... hurt? Sick... i mean, shrapnel would do that, yeah.
2:40 and he has a vision, of all of his friends dying , and or being dead... maybe it's the stories from the archivist job/thing?
2:55 uhh, this guy. I wanna say he is that Martin guy? The uhh, 3rd helper. The guy jhon doesn't like.got close to Jon, and dissapeared while... going to get milk? Adopt a cow? Uhh. Instructions unclear.
4:14 and.... uhh, a eye spots him? He feels like he is being watched, and it panics him!
Arright, can anyone rate my guesses? Cause that's genuinely all i can do at the moment, the video is great but i have no bloody idea what's going on. So it's all guess work.

Ok, this is the hardest I’ve laughed in a long time. Some things you got perfectly, I’m genuinely impressed. Others are so WILDLY and GLORIOUSLY off-base that it’s like a work of modern art.
Now go listen to the series and have fun filling in the gaps!

@@atlander4204 so, when i made this guess about... 3 or so days ago, i was trying to be funny in large parts...
now. id like to take a moment to appreciate the fact that the only thing I've ruled out as a likely occurrence is that the girl likes the archivist. like... of all the outlandish plot beats. the fact that with double the knowledge I had then, (about episode 20) I'm actually convinced that a lot of what I guessed might yet happen? truly this is a situation where nothing is out of the question in this world. i have however, noticed a lot of reoccurring themes of like. alternate perspectives, and a few stories that seem outlandish... even by this world standards , assuming as I am, that everything in the archives is just true, and that the pessimistic attitude of the archivist is just him being a belland. I'm coming to notice a few interesting occurrences, like characters who seem.. particularly prevalent. noteworthy. to avoid spoilers for people who are just starting, I'm just gonna say vaguely, that I'm noticing a few themes of sacrifice, a notable murderer with a obsession for hearts, and a … really weird obsession with eyes, which I have become absolutely determined is going to be a major plot point, seeing as , (such as the end of this video)
the fandom seems particularly obsessed with eyes and the archivist. my guess? he turns into a eye. I bet, dnd beholder style, he is going to turn into a eye, which floats around in the archives, and he becomes completely obsessed with learning and reading, and seeing any and everything. maybe he becomes disillusioned with the world after realizing a lot of things are real?
OR ALTERNATIVELY. the eye could represent some.. opressive force. something always watching him that I'm not quite clued into yet. I think, that its going to be the old archivist. he is always keeping a eye on Jon, and I bet he became, or was possessed. or something happened to him, and he more or less haunts the archives. as of the moment, I'm thinking this is going to be the big twist. am I any closer?
@@homegrowngamer3411 I know you were aiming for humor, and trust me your prose is very well and hilariously done. That’s mostly what I was laughing at, because we all go through that period of wild theorizing and guesswork. At least, if we don’t watch TOO many of the super-spoilery animatics.
Like I said, there’s a lot you got right, but I can’t tell you what-TMA is a horror/mystery/tragedy and part of the fun is the cork-board and red string, flailing in the dark like the characters do. I WILL tell you that every statement is what the giver truly thinks and feels, because otherwise it wouldn’t be a fair mystery. As for the rest…I plan to come back to this comment thread to see how your perceptions evolve.

Idk how to really say this but the fact that the Watcher’s Crown didn’t have any flashy lights or glowing things happening lie I expected it to really fits well with the vibe of this.

Omfggggggg!!! This animation has been in my watch later for who knows how long and I’m soooooooo glad I finally watched it!!!!
Minor criticisms: Intense lighting can really enhance a scene especially when the art isn’t particularly deatalied. I’d be happy to link some resources if it’s the kinda thing you care about but honestly I’m just a nit-picking perfectionist so don’t take anything I say to heart. Should’ve hand written the GONE on the statement. Just would’ve looked more coherent especially when you wrote words by hand on items before. (the first unraveling) Would’ve been more cinematic if when the frame switched in the final ‘GONE’ the bg color had changed aswell. Art felt rushed towards the end.

hi!!! i do have reasons for each thing but i totally understand you trying to help :) this was meant to be a pretty simple animatic since its my first one so i didnt go too hard on the lighting (maybe some scenes would have looked better with it though!); the 'gone' isnt hand written bc all the lyrics are in the same font; and the background colours are meant to represent the different seasons !! i only went up to season 4 so i only wanted to do 4 colours yk
aaaand for that last part it kinda was rushed x) i didnt expect this to get so big, i just wanted to make something that was in my brain so i could actually watch it haha. im glad that you enjoy it overall though!!
