- Exactly How GOOD Was Glenn McGrath?
Glenn McGrath is one of the best bowlers of all time taking 949 wickets in his career. Even Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara FEARED him. He was not the fastest bowler on the pitch but still with his bounce, swing , line and length, he terrified the batsmen. He was one of the most important players for Australia during their dominance in the cricket world. But exactly how good was he? Let's have a look at McGrath's marvelous cricket career to know how he became the best bowler of his generation.

Thank You so much guys for your love and support, please let me know if you liked the video in the comments below.
he is a true monster. Today's kid won't believe what he did with his 130kph bowling speed.
Exactly ,one of the best
Glen Macgrath was 6 ft 5 in tall, he could easily extract huge bounce.
He was able to ball slight out swingers which made him deadly because of stump to stum line.
He could ball 140 but did so rarely because of tall height it would go to good length area , he would ball mostly Yorkers at that pace
Yeah
Probably greatest fast bowler in the world! His bowling style was so pleasing to eye.
Exactly, one of the best
I remember a commentator saying about McGrath, "Even if you woke him up from sleep at 3 A.M and asked to bowl, his line and length would've be dead accurate as ever".
He was that good!!
A true legend and probably the finest pacer Australia produced after Dennis Lillee!
His ability to deliver in both Tests as well as ODIs is unparalleled. He possessed the ability to stand at the top in an era with competition like Akram, Waqar, Donald, Ambrose and Walsh.
Exactly, one of the best bowlers of all time!
Today's Kids Needs To Know More About These Monsters .
Point To Point , Factual , Immersing , Excellent Narration . Overall A Great Video .
11/10 From Me
Thanks a lot man!
He's everything a bowler needs to have -
Good enough pace
Insane accuracy
Can swing the ball both ways
Always bowled the right line and length
Tall and handsome as well
Also really a street smart cricketer
A perfect bowler!
A perfect video made!
Thank you😄 and yes, he was one of the best of all time!
@@CricketStories007 not one of the best, he's the best, the closest to McGrath in terms of accuracy and line-length is probably Shaun Pollock.
Don't substitute speed for accuracy, how very true. Glenn was a thinking bowler who tried not to waste a ball, had one of the sweetest, smoothest actions. This new breed of bowlers would do well to follow his lead.
yess
Sachin never said "" McGrath is toughest bowler to face. Only he faced difficult to bat against hanse croniye.
Greatest of all time for a reason..you may hate him but at the last the respect he earned was beyond our imagination..❤
He is one of the best of all time
McGrath Lee Warne Gellispie... amazing for Australia
What an era that was!
Mcgrath greatest test bowler in history of cricket
Yes the greatest
Australia winning the world cup 2023 who loved australia team more than our overrated commercialized Indian players
Yes, fantastic bowler.
But I'd put Malcolm Marshall and Fred Trueman up there with him.
@@IsaacAsimov1992 aus won World Cup how I predicted it
I fail to see how your comment is relevant.@@rrao7963
Ur a wonderful explainer❤❤
Thanks a lot 😊
Finally i found the video of glenn megrath thank you
Glad you liked it😃
4 wickets 8 runs in 10 overs of ODI.
Mind-blowing
Clearly the best bowler among those I saw live ..
Exactly 💯
For me he was the best fast bowler test matches have seen.
Yess🔥
glenn mcGrath is a bowling machine
🔥
Pidgie, like Gilly, Phil Hughes & currently Joshy & Gazza are all from the NSW bush towns. For them to be tid is so extremely lucky but also shows how good they actually were/are & the talent they had. Normally the players are from Sydney, down south in the Gong & up north to where i am on the NSW Centy Coast & up to Newey but being from the bush with little populations is really hard to be seen.
Jimmy Anderson is nowhere near as good as Pidgie. Jimmy can pass him on wickets taken but Jimmy's played a lot more test matches than Pidgie.
Players like yuvraj Dhoni and rohit rarely faced him. They wouldn't have survived against him.
Exactly
Yuvraj did face remember yuvraj was in Indian team since 2000s when australia was at its peak
@@nikhilhembrom8952 yess
Also in the ashes they lost he only played the first test as he got injured. Would have probably won if he was fit.
true
Megrath also very dangerous blower
Yeah!
He is a dinosaur 🦕 among bowlers of that time
Exactly 💯
he was boring to watch coz his bowling was that accurate..very few batsman would attack him and get away...and the ones that did get away, those videos are on youtube...
otherwise batsman would just keep leaving the ball time and time again, nick to slip/ wicketkeeper or be bowled
among the recent lot, only Dale Steyn could match up to him
His consistency was his greatest power!
Today's IPL kids think that bumrah is the best fast bowler. Little do they know about the legends of Mcgrath, LEE , steyn , anderson , akhtar.
IPL is destroying the true meaning of cricket and has just become a money mining machine
Exactly, kids are not aware how good these legends were
Bhai tu bhi toh bacha he hai, akhtar kbse legend ho gaya.
@@Myriad45bhai itna bhi nafrat mat karo Pakistan se atleast cricket me..wasim, waqar, akhtar, zahid, sami, amir, etc..ye sab bowling me mahir the..pace bohot accha tha unke paas..hamare India me Kapil Dev ke baad Srinath aur unke baad Zaheer aur aaj Bumrah aur Shami, kitne gap ke baad hame acche fast bowlers mile..
@@being_eccendentesiast vaah bhai sahi baat bola toh Pakistan se nafrat kaise beech me aa gayi. Bhai har poorana player legend nii hota. Aaj kal ke bacho ne legend, masterpiece aur Oscar ka name aise badnaam kiye hai ki kya batau. Bhai legend bowler waqar, wasim, Saqulain, kadir, ye sbb the. Pace se koi legend nii hota aise toh tait ke pass bhi pace hai prr vo LEE ya McGrath se uper ni hai. Thoda smjho ki legend kisko bolte hai sympathy card mtt khelo.
@@Myriad45 legend wo hote hai jise koi bhulaye nahi, 20 saal baad bhi akhtar ko log bhulenge..?? Tha koi majha aata tha India ke against use khelta dekhkar ye baat niklegi..legend sirf game nahi banata par usper kisine kitni mehnat ki apne carrier start karne se pehle wo bhi jaruri hai..
Sachin had difficulty playing against him Bcoz of his heavy bat. If he played with lighter bat he would have scored more runs against Australia.
Bullshit. If you would've said McGrath had the height advantage, that would've been a valid point.
Sachin tendulkar was simply a kid against him
Exactly
U r wrong bro. U r little kid what I think. Sachin has scored and hit him hard many time against him. Please see all matches. Don't write anything about a great batsman.
@@sivaneha97Sachin averages 27 against McGrath
In 2003 World Cup Final: Sachin was caught out 4/5 to McGrath
The only time Sachin smashed McGrath was in 2000 ICC KnockOut Cup India vs Australia
👍
Curtly Ambrose any day of the week over McGrath. Langer and Hayden could only hack it at test level after he lost several yards of pace. Take the endless Ashes against a poor generation of English batsmen and a large helping of declining West Indies scalps and what does his record look like? Steyn did it against great Ausie, English and and Indian teams in their back yards. McGrath wouldn't make my top 3 Ausie bowlers.
In today's time, cricket has only become money game to use highly populated countries. IPL has destroyed everything what is good for cricket.😂
Exactly 💯
Ooo Aah
He is greatest pace bowler, not fast…Anderson,Brettlee, shanebond are greatest fast bowlers
Yeah
