I remember there were tragic floods which caused millions of dollars of damage in Australia around the time of Shane Warne’s death. And when he died, the news just stopped covering the floods. I remember talking crap about his commentary one night, I go to sleep, wake up and choke my phone. What do you know it? Shane Warne is dead. I hope I don’t get haunted haha
Dale Steyn excelled everywhere he played. He had good pace to go with his beautiful outswing, always picked top-order wickets, had a wonderful reverse-swing too, tenacity on the field, those epic vein-popping celebrations, average of 22 and s/r of 42. Perfect fast bowler. Has to be in the top 5 alongside Akram, Warne, Marshall, McGrath.

@@zane4575nah. There is a reason of not much leg spinner in sub continent. Pitches of off spin and leg spin are different. Sub continent pitches ar prepared for off spin. For leg spin u need Australia type wicket

Humidity meant the ball was going to spin for Warne no matter what. The biggest issue for Warne according to teammates was the food, his body struggled to adjust.
It’s a surprise to see a Canadian channel doing a video on cricket. Really appreciative the way they present it and have done a great job pronouncing some of the Asian names.

Being an Australian and hearing about the show Passing of Shane Warne, goes to show how great of a spin bowler he was for Australia, and players from all over the world that played against Australia, especially Warne, shows that the world of cricket Honoured his tragic passing. Now that is cricket.
I'm born in the 70's, watch 80's cricket. I was lucky to see Holding,Marshall, , Ambrose, Waqar, Hadlee ( the banker😊) and then along came Brett Lee, Dale Steyn and Glenn McGrath. A golden era.

What a superb list. Wasim Akram was an artist, new n old ball, give him any situation and he n Waqar would deliver & both guided by the great Imran Khan. Wasim Akram said that Malcolm Marshall just needed 3 balls to figure the batters weaknesses. I remember he bowled with his left hand bandaged and still terrify batters. As much as Murlitharan picked heaps of wickets and his records might not be matched, my favourite spinner will definitely be Shane Warne. Turning it a mile on pitches made for fast bowlers was wizardry.

These are all modern bowlers, there is no Holding, no Roberts, no Wes Hall, no Harold Larwood, no Fred Trueman and many many more. Of the more recent bowlers where is the 3rd all time wicket taker Jimmy Anderson who should be included. The fact there are no Englishman, or Indians, is simply ridiculous

There is nothing legendary about Akthar. He was fast, that's all. He failed doping test twice during his peak, that explains something.

No doubt the greatest bowler of all time...
These are all modern bowlers, there is no Holding, no Roberts, no Wes Hall, no Harold Larwood, no Fred Trueman and many many more. Of the more recent bowlers where is the 3rd all time wicket taker Jimmy Anderson who should be included. The fact there are no Englishman, or Indians, is simply ridiculous

He has played the second most test games in the world, any decent fast bowler with that amount of games could compete with his stats. Anyone who genuinely believes he deserves to be in the top 10 doesn’t understand cricket, simple as that.
