I manage to travel 770km with the same 36L car. In my opinion, this is a very fuel efficient car.
That is very impressive Elise, how did you manage it? Can you share?
yeah 21km/liter is very good. but what speed you travel and it is on highway?
That was like 50% highway and 50% city drive. Max speed at highway around 120km/H when overtaking car. Otherwise steady cruise range around 80km/H to 100km/H. No sudden brake or acceleration. Steady acceleration. I did not use the auto-cruise thingy 😆😆
Walao! Buta wei!!! 770kms!!!Awesome!👍
Damn awesome, feel like getting this car
Your calculation at the beginning of the video is all well and good, except you failed to take into account one very critical factor: The total body mass of three big guys! LOL~
with more loads at the back
Good review. FC is not bad for a tall car. Managed a single tank run with my Ioniq, KL-A.Setar-KL, 39L for 900km. Cross maybe an option in the future. Hoping they put EPB in it later.
Need not worry so much for balance of 20km range short. All cars have reserve, which is not taken into account while warnings are made. This reserve can be as much as five liters.
Haha...I feel you on the anxiety part, 😂 Happened to me few weeks ago. I only realized the fuel gauge when it stated 2km more to go! Then no button functioned as soon as the fuel low warning came out. 😱 Thankfully the petrol station was just around the corner, pheww. Don't wanna undergo that experience anymore, 😅
Oh yes, we hadn't exited the highway yet when the instrument cluster just said Fuel Low, nothing else showing. While we knew we would most 'likely' make it, it was an anxious few minutes no doubt.
I think small battery hybrid cars like this is more efficient in city drive or kampung roads only la, highway drive not so much since the electric motor barely kicks in at highway speed.
True about that, it's even quite slow for it's size and weight (121 HP)
Toyota should follow honda hybrid with more horsepower.
Nice sharing challenge FC TCCH 1.8 carlist teams , Fc very good for TCCH...Wowww.... next HRV Ev 2022 challenge pulak...
Yes, please do EV range test.
Hybrids will give better FC with stop go driving due to regenerative braking. Therefore if you guys have partly used the trunk road in Perak, parallel to the NSE, you've probably make it to KL without refueling.
So you are saying I'd get more km to a litre if I drive in the city or Federal Route 1?
try to cruise around 90km/hr and you will reach your point of destination. Driving at higher speed will result in higher fuel consumption. We need to find the equilibrium between fuel consumption and speed.
I drove once from setapak to penang using alza with full load & full passenger maintain 100kmh because there's 3 adults & 3 kids in the car & the range when reach penang still got 250km more to go...maybe you guys can achieve it if maintain 100kmh
I drove 120km on passat and got 18.6 km/l on mostly trunk roads. Same distance on mostly highway got 17km/l. That's a good fuel economy for such a big car. Cheers.
Passat 1.8? Which year
@@idawan09
2019 passat comfort line.
@@galaxymetta5974 thanks really fuel saver
A solid 20 over minutes of vlog without any time waste. And I also feel the anxiety when watching it🤣
Nice video…can you do hrv hybrid vs cross hybrid?
Thanks Potter, we'll see what we can do but it is a good idea.
My 2011 Golf TSI at 90 kmh cruise control topped 1041 km with a 55 litre tank
Congratulations ❤Toyota best cars usages oilfields global
I always did a KL to Penang n back to KL with the Ford Focus, single full tank. Still left 40-70km fuel... So, nothing special abt the cross then... But was a single person in the car
Toyota should make DRCC to complete speed range instead 30km/h and above
The best scenario to use it is traffic jam moment
In my opinion you are cheating. You sayyou set the speed to highway speeds 110 but I see a lorry overtake you with ease. Also when you arrived penang you show at min 12:51 the meter cluster and it shows your trip is 999.4 km where you in the start said you reset the meter. An other thing it shows is your tank is 3/4 full and distance to pump is 241 km that means on a full tank distance to pump would be 321 km for a full tank. So you must be cheating here
Let's do a B-road fuel challenge. I think it is more interesting.
Interesting idea Faidz! Did you have any routes in mind?
@@carlist_my at the top of my head, some options do come into mind. All journey from KL, 1) Mersing ~338km one way 2) Gua Musang/Kuala Krai ~262/375km 3) Taiping ~300km avoiding the highway 4)or can just go to Penang(~400km) staying on the B road the majority of the time.
36liters too small to travel if go to the eastern coast.
Nissan xtrail hybrid can do even better. With 1 tank of fuel can travel from JB to tumpat in Kelantan still have 200km left . Peace of mind to travel.
Can we not refuel on the east coast Tee Peng?
I might have missed it, but did you do another full tank when you got back? And if so, how many liters was it? That should give us a good idea how much fuel was used on the 683km travel :)
We did the whole trip on the one tank Rommel. 36 litres for the 683 kilometres we drove.
Hi, can you do the same test with HR-V Hybrid?
I managed to get 925 km with my City RS. However my max speed was 95kph.
yea, i heard City RS is a beast in FC department. i always see owners report 800+KM minimum.
From what I believe the AC runs on the battery and should not use fuel directly, so how much do you think using the AC would affect the range?
It because u use the auto cruise thats why you should not use auto cruise if you want to save you fuel
my dream car
How much fuel left after the return leg?
Interesting & Entertaining !! 😅😅
36 ltr tank i doubt it !
Out of fuel? Apa ada hal, just switch it to EV mode ! ..... larikkk ....
2015 Nissan Teana L33. One full tank from Gombak to Penang and then back to Gombak 😊
Same number plate with my car
Sorry missed some info, what was the average speed for this fuel challenge?
Malaysian highway speeds, 110 km/h maximum but on average about 100km/h.
Paultan take note on how to review a car.
I think current HRV. Bit more fuel efficient.
My Prius can easily do that
What is your top speed?
110km/h
Proton X50 or this Toyota?
Two different powertrains Horng Ooi - not an equal comparison.
Not that impressive to honest for a hybrid. I've seen better numbers.
Is these real-world testing numbers Abdul? Care to share the numbers or where you saw them?
You need to consider the fuel tank is only 36 liter
