All negatives aside, this will be a very good all-rounder hybrid car money can buy
i think this car is much better than other rivals
i like this cross compare to hrv. For hrv from the back the shape if you looking sharply just like “telur”. Maybe it for me, but this cross looks very sharp at the front and tough at the back.
Bought this impressive SUV mainly because of your review. Just drove it to Penang. IMPRESSIVE‼️ 10q much, Eu Jin‼️
A great review Eu Jin. I look forward to seeing this car in the UK. 🙂
More worth than HRV Hybrid. Front parking sensors also there including blind spot monitor, 360 degree camera, full digital meter and temperature engine meter, not like HRV Hybrid
I’ve just ordered the 2.0 Hybrid 5th generation 197ps. I’m kinda worried about the consumption though.. Unfortunately the 1.8 is not yet available in our country. Thanks for the video!
took one for a test drive, got 4,5-5,0L per 100km while driving in hectic way, checking the acceleration etc. i think if you min.max it and drive very effiecient you can get ~4,0L with the 197ps one
still can't get over that foot brake...arrrghs
Depends on your taste. But reliability for manual parking brake or footbrake is better than using electronic parking brake. Also cheaper maintenance cost than electronic parking brake
The foot brake is the only thing stopping me from buying this lol. So awkward.. hope they release a facelift with electronic brake
Can you share if you encounter loud engine roar when you step on the accelerator when the meter goes from ECO to POWER zone. The Toyota team said it is a normal *characteristic* of a hybrid engine. Same comment I have from another friend having the same model.
Can this car still run even if the battery is already worn out and not yet replaced with a new one?
it's a very good car actually
I used to believe only on FC number, however FC number does not tell everything until i bought a Good FC with low displacement turbocharged car. Good FC Number only can be achieved with best scenario on ICE car. What matter is the condition of driving, being living in city of Traffic jam everyday; a HYBRID car with 13km/L may actually so much more fuel saving than ICE car that rate even 20km/L.
The condition is the point whereby ICE car in urban area used alot energy & ends up 10km/L. However in Highway it will can easily achieve 18km/L, but in FULL TANK you might only running 13Km/L. Unlike HYBRID. in traffic jam it does not use Fuel at all & in highway if only use 13Km/L. Overall in total KM of FULL TANK will be higher
Corolla's have a better engine than Yaris and Prius-C. Thats why it doesn't go rrrrurr, lol. I'm considering a getting one next year at the earliest. Upgrade from my 1st car, an Aqua. Corolla Cross Hybrid GXL Toyota New Zealand charges NZ$44,000 minus rebate.
Ordered Corolla Cross Hybrid GXL in North Western Toyota-Henderson Branch, currently is under shipping, will be arrived end of this month.
Which is more fuel efficient, the cross or the hrv hybrid
thnx , i was searching for this info
brake hard for delivery rider 😅😅
I am considering to buy Cross Hybrid. 😊
is this Toyota cross hybrid come with preinstall tinted?
What was the road noise like inside the cabin?
Can someone tell if this car is worth 38.7k USD? This is the base price to buy it here in my country and I'm not sure if the price is just too much or it's worth that..
Correction it's not the latest hybrid system...in Europe Toyota already introduced the fifth generation hybrid system. Well as usual UMW gives us old technology.
still the best hybrid we can get in malaysia
@@nirwana07 the best hybrid is currently honda City RS with latest i-mmd hybrid systems.
Doesn’t matter. This Corolla Cross that uses 1.8 hybrid engine with dual vvti is more or less same fuel consumption as HRV (not C segment) but durability for toyota is better than honda
@@emilylimsl9884 new HRV RS e-hev is better than Corolla cross in terms of fuel consumption...plz do some studies ya
..of course reliability, Toyota is superior.
from 1.8cc to 2.0 cc great
Is this variants available in Canada?
Mazda 2 sedan at home can get average 5.5l/100km highway loaded with 3 person. 8.5l/100km on mix. This car should get better economy no? My theory is it should get better economy in city or mix driving than highway driving.
other reviews say they get around 5.1l/km. though I think toyota claims 4.3l/km
Mazda 2 SUV meh?
Well yeah, but you're comparing to a sedan which arguably has lower drag and lower total overall weight to a cross-over.
If say you're comparing it to another sedan such as the Vios, City, Bezza then I get you. Totally fair call out.
But this...
I cn easily get 5.2l/km wth my passat 2022 on highway..driving at 100km/h..
Any idea if the altis hybrid will ever hit Malaysian shores?
Yeah was wondering about this as well
didnt you go to paul tan?
Probs videos shot before he left. There still might be a few more unreleased
7.8 l/100km is good? I am spoilled with BMW diesel
Exactly what I was thinking. 7.8L/100km on the highway is more than what a 3.0TDI consumes. I get 4.8 - 5L/100km in my 2.0 E-class diesel at 120km/h. The ONLY way these cars can be more efficient is if you drive them only in town.
Can I ask what colour the model cross you are driving is? Is that the cement grey?
celestite grey metallic, unique to hybrid and altis.
@@celestialvalidator6316 Thanks! Sadly we don't get that colour in New Zealand.
hello
It's the same engine as the Prius. The Prius however, having much better aerodynamics. At low speed, should match, at high speed, will drink more.
City, if you drive eco, 3.5-4.5L. on roads (50-60 mph), 5.0-5.5L. highway (70mph), 6.0-6.5L, motorway (80mph), 8.0-8.5L.
I'm on 4.4-4.6L for town and country, on a Corolla 2.0L Touring. City, more like 3.8L. these engines don't do so well past 50 mph, but it's not that bad. Diesels are much more efficient at the that stage. Flat roads, and smooth driving (minimum breaking, slow acceleration), you can gain 20%, but some people find it boring driving like that, especially when you have 200bhp available.
Ok la even conti mazda honda gives old tech haha . Malaysia ma cut cost . Nobody wants ringgit they dont care maximise profit
But as long as come with blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert and 360 camera, worth to buy especially come with front parking sensors, temperature engine meter and full digital meter. Also comfort, durability and space are also important. Without that, not worth to buy like HRV
Do for toyota alphard
hideous car
7.3L/100km is the kind of fc I get on the 2.2d cx5 for town driving
The cross should be much much better on town driving i reckon?
I can easily achieve 4.1l/100km on a 40km trip from Klang to KL. During heavy traffic I have achieved even better FC of less than 3l/100km
i can easily get 4 to 5 L/100km
@@Arvinross wow that's crazy. Considering that this is a small crossover SUV.
Toyota's Hybrid Synergy system (THS) is designed such that normal average driver could achieve 5.5L/100km, and could easily get 4L/100km when driven properly using techniques such as Pulse & Glide.
I've tried Pulse & Glide for my commute to Sepang weekly in Cross Hybrid, and I could confidently say 24km/L (4.05L/100km) is totally possible. It's just that you have to change your driving habit as compared to driving a turbocharged car.
*from Cheras to Sepang
0:31 Seriously? 7.3l/100km? that is very bad fuel consumption for hybrid car....
Yeah I can get exactly the same with my fuel guzzler X50 TGDI on long journeys
Most owners easily get 4-4.5l/100km for highway drive. Sadly I can't post the pic of my FC here.
Wow that dashboard looks awful feels like something from the 1990s
"ill see u. bye". looks like a goodbye video.
7.2 L/100 is terrible fuel economy!
I can easily achieve 4.1l/100km on a 40km trip from Klang to KL. During heavy traffic I have achieved even better FC of less than 3l/100km
@@Arvinross That's what I would expect. What is the official fuel economy posted by Toyota in your country? In Malaysia it's advertised as 23.3 kms per litre which is 4.3 L/100kms. It hasn't been released in Canada yet but Toyota is estimating 6.4L/100kms. Very odd...I was hoping this would get better mileage than the RAV4 Hybrid.
All depends on how you drive on the highway or the road when comes to fuel consumption
@@blackwatch7151 official figures in Malaysia is 4.3l/100km.
you need to eat man.
Nope he's doesnt more than he can. He need to just be himself.
