Well presented, Mr. Gregory! 👍 Hope to see you more in the reviews! A good SUV! 👍 Toyota surely is very reliable even with their hybrid or EV! Minor complaint is that Toyota could have given the infotainment as a real stand alone position instead of having the housing on the back. Toyota may have reasons for that but is a minor complaint. Driver seat is lacking a back pocket as well which Toyota could have given that. Overall, this SUV is solid and attracts!
Can this car handle Genting Climb with a full load (400kg)? I read that on sustained climb the battery would be used up quickly and so only the 97HP engine will be contributing to the drive.
I still couldn’t decide b/w hrv turbo & tcc hybrid eventho both loan has been approved last August. I like hrv design, epb/auto hold & honda sensing but love tcc driving experience, comfier than hrv & it feels like driving a bmw for me. Some says it’s an aunty car but others like it’s perfomance. Same goes to hrv, some says it’s a boring car but I guess young ppl love it sleek design & latest specs.
i just got my TCC v spec for 1month, the only down side for me is the horn...🤣🤣🤣 other than that is fantastic for me. much better than my previosy car - honda civic.
It doesn’t really matter whether they are from Toyota fanboys are not. They are just having their opinion. Also, importantly is specification, features, design, reliability and quality too, performance is not really important but as long as every car have great power but not more performance car.
Its really weird that other reviewers even from overseas could clock the TCC Petrol and Hybrid at around 9.2 secs and below 8 seconds 0-100km/h respectively. Whats the catch?
HRV looks even more uglier than Corolla Cross. HRV front like mazda. Interior looks boring and no full digital meter. Worst thing is that, HRV also no temperature meter
the interior is typical toyota plastics. moreover, that ancient foot brake should go. electronic parking brake tech is >5 years now. that a major turn off.
Using C segment platform but shorter wheelbase, no rear multilink suspension and underpower. The price range already set at B segment, so can't be a C segment car. If I want buy a C segment SUV, Cross will never in my list.
But comparing between HRV and Corolla Cross for wheelbase, Corolla Cross has bigger wheelbase than HRV. Comfort and boot space for Corolla Cross is also better than HRV. Honestly, comparing between Corolla Cross and HRV, Corolla Cross is better than HRV as Corolla Cross comes with BSM, RCTA, 360 camera and front parking sensors as HRV lacks. Even reliability for Toyota is also better than Honda.
Wheelbase not mean anything, just 3cm longer than HRV. If u go Cross passenger rear seat will more smaller than HRV. Only boot bigger only, space inside on Cross not like C segment, it more likely is a B segment SUV. Sales unit will prove which Brand more reliability.

Though I can do adjustments and play around with the equalizer to somehow get the right feeling that I hope to have but still not close to what I want. I kinda miss those days that local Toyota used Pioneer head units for the cars... Even my Vios NCP150 audio quality from stock HU and speakers sound much better than my current Cross Hybrid.
Development period of this car take too long time in Thailand. That's why many features already outdated compared to other brand and new models in the market.
Very nice exterior, although it looks somewhat similar to the new H-RV at first glance. The interior seems to be leaning more towards the 'clean' design and the type of materials used (more soft touch parts). The rear air-cond vents are nice to have but not really required in my opinion, since the car is not that big (as shown in the rear passenger's leg room space). Probably they could've removed it and use the budget for something more interesting such as better cameras for better resolution/full digital meter for the petrol variants/damped glovebox/back pocket for the driver's seat lol.
C Segment but using torsion beam, footbrake, not to mention all the other lacking deets. For the hybrid price, top up a little more - you could get a better segment such as CRV and CX5 with better ride, handling and multilink suspension.
Based on reliability for braking system, footbrake/manual parking brake is better than electronic parking brake. Besides, some of features for CRV and CX5 doesn’t have like what Corolla Cross Hybrid have. Even reliability for Toyota is better than HRV, although that Mazda is also more reliable than Honda
Honda quality and design are declining. Still using poor resolution lanewatch camera? Not worth! Other brands already use blind spot monitor and honda in advanced countries now upgrading from lanewatch to blind spot monitor.
