By making Link drop ALL this inventory of food and materials the Korok has unknowingly doomed him because he can't go to his inventory in a pinch and instantly recover all his health by consuming random food items.
If only you did this during the TOTK hype. This high quailty video deserves millions of views

basically just every gamer who grew up in the 80s and 90s. hoard everything because "i might need it later" and end the game with the max limit of every potion and battle item in the game.
That could mean a fast forward alternate save coming back to warn this save version about his future!! No cooking skill = no Princess wedding!
I collect EVERYTHING. And I only throw something away when i'm totally out of space.

Previous incarnations of Link had different approaches to junk, indeed. They may have had one odd passion (like collecting mysterious shells! How mysterious!), but otherwise didn't carry more stock than the entire economy of Hyrule combined... The hero of time would drop anything beyond one thing he couldn't fit in a bottle! He didn't even have room for more than one ocarina in his life! (Who needs a memento anyway?)

2:16 this is actually canon, in BoTW DLC when you fight again the blight ganons it says "confront your deepest fears" (or something like that) and the challenge is literally you having like 2 weapons and barely any food.

I was expecting a jump-cut to Link struggling in a fight and needing healing items just for the Korok to realize how horribly wrong it was.
Deciding to make the Korok suffer outright was a way better move.

I've never played a Zelda game, but the message in this video is universal. All the way back to Adventure on the Atari 2600, I felt compelled to bring every item to the yellow castle before bringing the goblet there to win the game. Since then, in every RPG in which it has been possible, I have hoarded loot, no matter how useless.

Not just of gear, playing a space sandbox game recently, and quite often I ended up with a mission to transport some people across the galaxy. Then they had to wait, until I delivered all the other people, that I also picked up. And until I had enough passengers for their destination port, that landing there earned me more, than all the crew salaries.
(Three in game years later) "Dang, finally we got here to visit grandpa. (...) What do you mean, he died nine months ago?!"

NPCs reacting to Link’s various outfits could possibly be good material for a series of skits; I think the Gerudo Vai outfit would be a nice place to start if the Link actor feels like he could pull it off. 😉
