- How to make a moist and fluffy Banana Cake.
Here's what you'll need:
3 pieces overripe bananas (290g)
2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar (150g)
3/4 cup oil (180ml)
1/3 cup milk (80ml)
3 tbsp plain yogurt (45g)
1 tsp vanilla extract (5ml)
1/2 tsp salt (3g)
1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour (190g)
1 tsp baking powder (5g)
1 tsp baking soda (5g)
1▪️Preheat oven at 170ºC(340ºF). Mash 3 overripe bananas, set aside. Beat together eggs, sugar and oil until light and fluffy.
2▪️Add milk, yogurt, vanilla and salt. Mix well.
3▪️Sift in flour all purpose flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until no lamp is visible. Do not over mix.
4▪️Add mashed bananas. Mix just until combined.
5▪️Grease an 8 inch pan and line with parchment paper. Place batter in the pan.
6▪️Bake in a preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted.
7▪️Let it cool down for a while. Transfer to a serving plate.
8▪️Serve and enjoy this moist and fluffy Banana Cake.

Wow! I'm a 12 year old who has been baking using RUclips for a while now, and this is by far the BEST banana cake I have ever made. Whenever people came over and tried it, they were shocked that I had made such a fluffy banana cake. Usually, banana cakes are so random. Sometimes they turn out perfect, and sometimes, not so perfect. Everytime I made this, it had turned out perfectly fluffy and moist. Thank you for this!

I tried this with half the sugar n half the oil (which I actually substituted with melted butter) n it turned out soo fluffy! Added some chopped nuts too which made it loads tastier. I recommend putting less sugar depending on the ripeness of ur bananas as it was still q sweet for my family even w halved sugar
Fully agree ..I put only90 gramms of sugar and still very sweet.80 is enough

I just tried this recipe this morning and my family loves it! I ran out of cake flour so i just used bread flour instead, and avoided mixing too much as much as possible. The cake came out soft and moist! Love it

This is literally the best banana recipe I've found, but I made a few tweaks I thought I'd share. I made a vegan version, and it's almost as good as the non-vegan version.
When I mashed the bananas, I added lemon juice or vinegar to the mix to stop them browning but also to help add air when it combines with the bicarb.
I replaced the 2 eggs with 6 tablespoons of aquafaba.
I used oat milk instead of normal milk.
I used a dash of oat milk instead of the yoghurt.
I mixed the mashed banana into the oil mix before adding the flour so that there would be less mixing needed once the flour was added.
I added like a tablespoon or more of cinnamon, 1tsp all spice, 1tsp mixed spice, 1 decent dash of nutmeg and a decent dash of ground cloves (I used a lot of spices but I love them!)
Mix the wet & dry together until it just comes together. Don't over mix!
For my oven, I needed my oven a bit hotter, like 180-190°C and it took longer then stated. But maybe that's just my oven.
Also, finally, for the non-vegan version, having a slice when it is still warm is heavenly! However, for the vegan version, I think it needs to set properly, so leave it be until completely cooled before cutting the cake. Bon appetite xx

My grandson (7years old) don’t eat most anything but macaroni cheese , sometimes. We made this cake and he love it! I substitute the oleo to coconut oil and add some oat meal and almond flour balancing with less flour. It came out perfect. The UIKit make it so moist. He ate many peace’s. ❤thank you

This is the best banana recipe ever. My husband and I have been baking this almost 3 times per month. Loved this. But trust me I exclude the sugar completely and it still tastes yummy. The sweetness from the banana does the job. I love this recipe.

Thank you for this recipe. I ain't no baker, so keep trying youtube recipes for cakes. Got lucky once in a while. This one was by far the best and easiest recipe. I made some tweaks, didn't have yogurt so omitted that, added cinnamon powder, cake was so fluffy and moist inside and made it crispy outside by baking over an hour. My husband said it looks professional.

I loved this recipe. Just tried this today. Six tiny overripe bananas. I would reduce the oil and sugar by a bit next time since my fingers were a bit greasy. But the taste and consistency is great. I’ve baked six times the past two months this was by far the best
I tried this recipe yesterday and it’s delicious. The outside of the cake was perfectly cooked but the inside is a bit raw. It was my mistake because I put the oven at 190 deg celsius instead of 170 😊. I’m baking now for the 2nd time. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

Just made it and true from what all the comments said.. It's the best banana cake I ever had. Initially I thought It won't turn out well because I forgotten to sieve the flour but what's done cannot be u done, so I let it be. Surprisingly, the cake turn out to be successful too and very tasty, I must admit. TQ from Borneo❤
