The people that actually have a V8 wouldn’t come in the comment section talkin about how much a V6 sucks. They’d respect it as a less powerful car in the Dodge lineup that still sounds good.

sounds good at idle. sounds like a fart in a can while driving, sounds better with mid mufflers on it, gets rid of that whiney drone fart in a can sound.

That putting down a lot of power with a delay shift now in order for those power to produce speed in millisecond pull the ecu fuse for 10 minutes then drive it slow for a week so the transmission can learn to shift faster with that amount of power. That will allow everything to tune itself safely so nothing break.

I just bought mine and the person before me deleted the rears, which was great because that's what I was planning to do. I, too, love the sound.

I have an important question and would love some feedback.... I live in WI and I want to do the straight pipe method, but the law states we can't alter the muffler... however they have a law for DB to be under 9.5 and I unfortunelty didnt see in the video the DB for the straight pipes, I would love for my V6 to sound that good, any tips or advice? (please no hate)

The only thing that bothers me about this video is he confuses the resonators as mufflers and vise versa. Resonators are at the back my man. very cool video tho.

I put just basic flow masters with stock resonators, it was the perfect volume but it droned at 75 like crazy. Does the flow fx have anti drone tech?

What is the best sounding muffler that still allows for inside conversation? I did a muffler delete, and the drone inside is not too bad, but I’d like a better sound outside. If there isn’t one then let me know that ok? I hope you answer this one for me

Try mid muffler delete and replace it with Big Boz Exhaust and a rear resonator delete. Its a nice deep sound with no rasp
Just take the rear muffler off. Deepens the growl, adds crackles (not too much which means you won’t get pulled over), and you’ll be loud asf. If you have a friend that can cut the muffler off for you it’ll only cost you around $60 in parts
They all sound good until they drive off and it’s like ughh RICER

I just removed the mid mufflers and rear resonators off my 2016 Challneger SXT Plus and put in a couple Borla 40351 mid mufflers and my challenger sounds waaaaaay better. Sounds like it looks now. I also have a 2006 Charger RT Hemi and yes the Hemi is faster and louder...but not by that much. A super charger on my SXT would bring it close to my RT speed. Looking forward to installing my Mopar cold air intake on my SXT Plus next week. I might get the supercharger.......will see.
The RIPP supercharger brings the sxt to 480 at crank and 420 at the wheel.
And it IS faster than a rt and cam keep up with a scat
Don't boost it. You lose the reliability of the pentastar. I wanted to get the ripp kit but my mechanic told me it's not a good idea. Ending up buying a 07 SRT8 charger for the same price

Don’t mess with the cat. Won’t pass emissions amongst a plethora of other problems
@@dantemarino3960 what other problems will arise with a cat delete mr.mechanic, lol I’m a full time mechanic and a cat delete won’t do anything but help your car run better and more free flowing. The engine is just a huge vacuum the more free flowing your exhaust is the more air the engine can suck in. More horsepower to a extent
I have a custom fabbed downpipe without a cat. What I can say the for sure is the SMELL. Delicious. Friends can always tell if I'm idling in the garage at work, not just by the sound but the smell. Depending what fuel / tune you're running(if any) it can be annoying to some people*. I feel bad in drive thru's, other than that when you're moving it's not terribly noticeable.
Passing emissions is only a problem if you live in an area with inspections.
I've heard deleting the cat usually throws a check engine light if you have 02 sensors on the down side of the cat but I've heard you can buy something to trick the 02 sensors into thinking everything is fine

Can't say that I enjoy the V6 rumble. You can love it, but it's not for me. I don't hate V6's , but the exhaust I would use on one would be quieter but effective.
As someone who drives a V6 Challenger with the rears deleted and enjoys the sound, thank you for giving your opinion without being an elitist jerk. Respect.
@@skyhijinx You might as well put a pair of cherry bomb m80's on the rear. They can cut out some of the high frequencies but still loud AF.

For a V6 it’s pretty decent, I have a 2016 charger, does okay on gas for a fatass car, only problems I’ve had is my starter/alternator going out cause of heat issues
of course there's bad reviews on a car that has been in production for what the past 10 years? people keep buying these bad boys for a reason. I love mine.
I have owned a 2018 SXT V6 for over 2 years now and I have had literally zero problems and I drive it literally everyday. Good on gas, does everything I need to do, honestly recommend because its the cheaper version, the community is great, and it is obviously bad ass.
Bad reviews are mainly on the older models and even those are pretty reliable. If you buy a 2015 and up, you get the redesigned engine with really good reliability. I have a 2018 sxt plus and have no complaints so far
Only problem we had with my wife's car is during quarantine when it wasn't driven or ran for 5 days straight. The battery died and we had absolutely no power. A slow trickle change and we were back up and running. 2019 SXT v6 with two Flowmaster Super 10's. I'm not big on the V6 with this but the wife loves it. I have a 2019 RAM with 5.7 HEMI running Flowmaster 40 series and it sounds great.
That was awful. Try the Tim B setup!!! Much louder with a deeper note. Around $300

Yeah, it’s the GT. Same as an SXT performance wise. But the GT trim is made to look like the R/T
Spencer Steenburn the performance is actually a little different for the chargers / challengers to gt normally sxt is around 290hp & different exhaust notes are on the challenger gt in sport mode, like a soft bass
@@alsinalove3354 i have a 2020 SXT and its 305hp. I’d love to hear what it sounds like for real without the resonators and mufflers. The glass packs sound about right for it
@@unholywalk9929 the GT definitely performs a bit better. I've beat every sxt I've raced by atleast a couple car lengths. They're just different. But mine is also AWD. I expected them to be equal but nope.

V6 loud exhaust = all noise! Still get that ass flipped tail over head when any properly tuned or not tuned car goes by. Doesn’t make you guys feel stupid when all that noise flies out when you test a Camaro SS or a ZL1 leave you standing still. But yes, making a ton of useless noise.

Quick question champ, I own a 2021 Challenger SXT v6.
I’m entirely new to cars so help me on this one, if I wanted to have mine sounding loud and deep (the loudest I can get and deepest i can get) what would I get? Money isn’t a issue just need to know the things I would need.
