Hey thank you for doing what you are doing. Just to let you know, whenever I listen to your videos, I get this feeling that it's time to forget about every struggle or stressfull thing that goes on in my life. I'm 29 years old, but your videos feel like my grandpa is reading me my bed time story.
It gives me that feeling I had when I was just a little boy when I had allmost nothing to worry about.
And that moment is very special to me, so thank you for providing that to me.

Thomas Oates you completely described why I enjoy these videos so much. I’ve just turned 30 this year and watching thee videos is a great escape from every day adult reality and gives a great sense of comfort.
Mr RASMRs little tit bits of advice or anecdotes that come from him being older and wiser are always a nice addition to whatever the topic of the video is :)
Couldn’t agree more with your comment

Mixed drinks a buck! Amazing. This is a really cool collection, because each piece tells you not only where it came from, but when, and evokes a real sense of place and time. I can't really think of anything these days that you can freely collect like this that can do that.

The Club Bluenote box made me curious about whether I've walked by its location before, and it turns out one of my offices is about 10 steps away from the original Yonge St location from the 60's. I'm going to be looking at that storefront differently every time I pass it now! :) I believe the Pears Ave location houses condos these days, as it closed in the early 90's (just after I was born 😆).

Your wife was in Birmingham a lot! I live about an hour from there. Also, Gatlinburg, TN is a terrific place, though it used to be more rustic. Now it's a bit on the touristy side and a lot of places feel dated (Ober Gatlinburg). Still, the park and the trees in fall are timeless.

Interestingly enough, a friend of.mine was just talking to me about Dante's. It closed in 2013. I had went there maybe three times in my life (I'm about to turn 51,) and from what I remember it was always good. Fondue and steaks were still the dishes to go with! Dante, the owner ran the restaurant for I think 43 years until his death.

The only places that tend to give away matches are major hotel chains, like Hilton, Best Western, etc. Matches are seen as outdated now since we have disposable lighters that can be refilled if you mess around with it enough and actual refillable lighters, even electric ones. So there really isn't a need for a one time match anymore.
