What I love about this series of videos is how my mind likes to paint a picture of what these places and the people in them would have looked like back then 👍
Dear sir, once again thanks for your upload. It's almost 1am in Holland right now, that means sleepy time for me. Won't be a problem with this brand new upload. Nighty night and all the best to you
Wisdom comes with experience not with knowledge. And seeing the variety of items you have collected (all the things from all his videos) you seem like quite the wise and respectable gentleman.
Hahaha I am literally working right next to the Sheraton in Framingham (the shiny chrome matchbox at 23:00) Not sure if the upper crust is in there anymore but the hotel is still there. Looks like an old castle.
Eagerly anticipating what the shiny spiral design one is directly in the center of the lot. *eventually falls underneath the rest, doesn't get picked up in the entire vid...
Mr. Steer in Londonderry, NH is still around - made the news here a couple years ago because the employee who handled the books embezzled like $300K from the business!
You say you made a little audio adjustment and requested feedback. The sound is somewhat drier to my ear. I hear less of 'the room' as we call it in music recording. Less room generally makes the vocal seem more intimate. Perhaps you've added a baffle behind the mic?
These are not my tear drops, daughter dear, but just a sheen of dew that lingers here, past other fields where other fathers lie, who kept their daughters better far than I. -Giuseppe

I was just at Bernard's three weeks ago! Actually I was in the adjoining jazz club called, "Heidi's". Small world!
HOORAY! I was just wondering when we would get another matchbook video treat. Hope there are some cat ones left. 🐱
Bennigans was Awesome! It unfortunately went out of business and was replaced with the Tilted Kilt here in Chicago. Loved Bennigans!
Mr40kmaster Bennigan's should begin again. Their stuffed mushrooms rocked.
Hell yeah! They were so good!!!
We had a Black-Eyed Pea near where I grew up in Virginia, I would say some time in the late 80s to early 1990s.

Great vids man thanks
Great 😊😊
Bernard’s Surf. I’ve eaten there. That was my parents go-to fancy eatin’ out joint when I was a teenager.
I thought it was a great audio quality, always glad to see the match books again. Any plans on showing off more of your fountain pens?

"Now there's a big D"
Black Eyed Pea located in McAllen,Texas closed down some years back.
Mr. Steer in Londonderry, NH is still around - made the news here a couple years ago because the employee who handled the books embezzled like $300K from the business!
what happened to the book one, you released a few days back? it was up for a few hours and you removed it, why?
just wanted to know, where are you from? sorry if you already posted it
I think the jack Daniels matchbook said Mon thru sat, not Thurs.
The Diplomat Resort is still in Florida and is still HUGE
Could you please make a video of you showing all of your tools
lol one of them said meridien

17:33 is pronounced Gay-Moot-Lish-Kite (Gemütlichkeit) which means "Comfort" in German. Hope this helps sir!
The Black Eyed Pea is alive and growing. It has more locations in Texas now.
Mr Steer is still around it's a Meat Market and Deli and still owned by the same owner's family as I understand.
Robert Matos
nice vid
I'm guessing the matchbook at 7:00 must of been made when the 1974 (or 1979) oil crisis was underway.... :)
Great video as always. Isn't this a fire hazard?
i liked the audio

What's a matchbook?
Nvm it's a box of matches
The Marker here in Indianapolis is closed.
Sequiro Is it? That's a shame, I wouldn't have minded going. Is it gone, or replaced?
Sequiro
...and everyone who ever worked there is long decreased.
Is there anything either you or your wife doesn't collect ?
I misread the title and thought it said matchBOX
I haven't gotten past the 3 minute mark
So......when you get to the end of all these are you gonna strike one and drop it in? Jk. But seriously, was your wife a flight attendant?
