In the 80s and 90s the secret was always a longer board at the breakwall you catch it further out get into it quicker it was so fun back then thank you for the great video

Thanks for the great footage!! I'm away from the area right now so I missed out on seeing these enormous waves. Props to the surfers who were out there, but the conditions looked soooo gnarly!!!

Wow. Why weren't the lifeguards setup with their jetskis? Even with fins, that's too powerful of surf to make a timely save without one (not that I'd blame the lifeguard)

Did this swell ever glass off or get organised? The size is there for a great day of surfing, which it may have been for those who were in the water, but it could have been a lot betta!
jjs4you2 - This was big storm-swell surf - with onshores just about everywhere from the SW-WSW just about all day. It was generated by a "bomb" storm just-offshore.
I wound up getting some clean(er) waves at a secret spot with more wind protection - but less size, too, by the looks of things. Still 2-3x OH... and only a few guys out..
