- On December 5th, 2007, a huge northwest swell came bombing into the Southbay of Los Angeles. At the Redondo Beach Breakwater, there were a few brave souls that found huge barrels and smooth faces to conquer.
The last wave on the video was the wave of the day. At least 20 foot at the take off, this young surfer rides the beast perfectly into surfing history. Incredible!

Was surfing a really good day back in 1979 when while waiting for a set an unopened budweiser can floated right up to me ... needless to say I cracked it open shared it with my buddy reel quick and started paddling for the next set.
I surfed here from 65 to 70 before the Chart House and we burned tires on the rocks to keep warm. Wave hasn't changed at all . On big days short ride into big close out but its the only show in town when its big there.
RJ Hoover I started surfing this spot back in 63 to 72 and it used to be a life guard station with with a parking lot. In 69 they had the Chart House with the condos build. 69 was where it got really big.

@mxwet08 yeah jumpinprods right shitpipe is all the way over by dockweiler, redondo breakwater is closer to the southside of hermosa beach pier.. thats like a half hour drive difference!!

north LA gets pretty nice at county line / zero's / zuma and such but not as big as down south ... south bay gets pretty tight but OC gets big and dope spots there

Thats funny. I guess you never posted a 10 minute video on RUclips. You have toi compress 4 Gigabytes into less that 100 megabytes. Hmmm, Umm,,, Yeah,,, that actually does destroy the quality ... just a bit.... Ummm... yeah.

Actually Hermosa Beach on North side of the "wall" (Breakwater).
About as good as Breakwater gets I don't understand why I'm not none of these videos though the ledge
