Nice update. Your MG4 is really great value for money. Your accessories (sun shield, seat covers, neck cushions, carbon stickers, etc) all make sense. A very sensible car. Please make more videos.
The price for the base model MG 4 just dropped by $10,000 in Australia, because of their over supply problems. Now the government is looking towards the USA,they are putting 100% import tariff on all Chinese EVs.
I'm crazy for this car. For over a year I'm looking and drooling for it, unfortunately my driving routine doesn't allow me BEV. For 1y, car holds up good. Paint chips on the front hood is perfectly normal. Mazda, for example, had huge issues with its soul red. Just buy small paint and put dot, to prevent rust. Rear doors, i think problem is not the rubber, they aren't fit well, the lock knob can be adjusted for this reason, also, you can bent it (see trabant door alignment video, it is done like this today too). Service guys should know this, it's basics. How is plastic underneath?
Now the price for the new car dropped a lot. If you decide to get it, I would recommend getting a second hand one. The car will be practically new, but muuuuch cheaper. I would buy it from someone if I knew... The plastic? Do you mean underneath the car? I've checked a couple of times, because there were many cases when other cars had issues, but mine looks absolutely fine
Nice video.. I'm surprised you're on an old UI (the controls give it away) and even more surprised you cannot limit your charging.. My only issue is iSMART doesn't work in my country and there's basically no way to petition MG to fix it... dealer has no idea what to do. I have the same door issue you got BUT... with the front driver side. Sucks and I just need to find time to bring it to the dealer's. It's definitely not the rubber, more like an alignment of the door. When you are in the car and unlock you can see the door slightly move down a bit.. because it has to ride up to be in the right position If you could give us the names to search for if not the links for the accessories you got it'd be cool though
@Airbag888 I guess Thailand gets updates much slower than other countries. BTW, so far, one update fixes some bugs, but creates a new one... I will make another video for the accessories
Actually LFP likes to be fully charged. Check. Also, occasionally charge it slowly so cells could ballance. It's BYD blade battery, so top you can have.
@@Woof514 this is not really a case. LFP is only recommended to be charged 100% because it has very little voltage chance low to high and it calibrates the cells when charged full. LFP doesnt like to be charced to 100%. When battery is charged to 100% it is under constant load.
@@lifeinthailandwithhuksfa-jg4ie good to know, one more questuon, the scheduled charger to a target % works for you? I've mg4 SE and not work when I set on Mg Ismart app.
Just received my white MG4 (lux) 2 weeks ago in the Philippines. I did ceramic coating after 3 days. I found this video very helpful but was wondering if your MG ismart app works there? I wish it worked here so you can remotely check battery, enable digital key, turn on AC remotely, etc. I also noticed you didn't remove the plastic cover of your 7inch screen. Did it not melt because of the heat? Also, pls make a video of your dashcam.
My app works fine. I often use it to lock the car or turn on AC in a hot day. I also keep one key in the car, so even I forger to take another one, I can always use my phone to lock and unlock the car, it's pretty convinient. I didn't remove it becase it is clear and doesn't bother me. I didn't check actually.. But I doubt it melted, I do not leave the car in the sun often
@@lifeinthailandwithhuksfa-jg4ieyou may not wanna change as the weather is very hot over there. Having all grey or black will make it worse, visually, psychologically and physically
@@lifeinthailandwithhuksfa-jg4ie Do you know if your home charger is 7.4kW or 11kW? In any case while charging under 45% it should after maybe 5mins show you the speed of charge. Based on average loss of 10% efficiency you can figure out the actual charger speed

It would be nice to get a new video of the MG4 now with your latest update and kms driven.

That same door on my MG4 is exactly the same as yours, it doesn't close properly.
How do you regularly charge your car , dc charging or home AC charging , how much KWh charger you use regularly

Wow!good body shape from the reflection.
haha, thanks!
You seem to have the 51kwh battery which is an LFP battery; this batteries don't mind the charging to 100%
Really? I was recommended to keep the battery 40-80%
Actually LFP likes to be fully charged. Check. Also, occasionally charge it slowly so cells could ballance. It's BYD blade battery, so top you can have.
What makes you think so? I think he has the NMC battery based off the spoiler on the back and 360 camera

The wings at the back suggest it not LFP.
Software updates are made online or is it necessary to go to the brand to update it present?
It is available in the settings, but I could never update it. They do it at the car center
@@lifeinthailandwithhuksfa-jg4ie you get some error when try to update at home? Every update you need go to the car center?

Do you see mg Thailand announces lifetime warranty for battery ? This is amazing congrays, I hope this extend to Europe and come to Portugal soon
Sorry, i don't undersnatd, your MG is Standard or LUX version? LUX should have 64kWth battery that should give you around 400 km travel range
Standard one in Thailand is 51kwt, promised range is 425km (without using AC), with AC on it drops to 365km, but the real range is about 320-330km

is nmc good? does it have fire issues and lies behind lfp?
@randomyt111-p9e Well.. So far, I had no issues with the battery. After 1.5 years of use, battery life is 96%
it need clear left and right lines in order to turn by itself
Yeah, agree
even with clear lines it doesn't turn well at all.. I wouldn't trust it.
Please give a link for the dashboard cover

Yeah, obviously haha. I bought it more than a year ago, the price was higher. I wish I knew! And yes, I've got a free charger as well

I think it has has ceramic tint already.. But I didn't want to make it too dark, difficult to drive at night
Stone chips hardly MGs fault
