i have a mg4 imported from thailand. finally i got my software update to my local indonesian version. fixed all your current bugs. hopefully MG worldwide will have 1 universal software to fix this

Probably not. There's certain things allowed in China that aren't allowed in other countries. That's why whenever you hear about Chinese cars having great software, often its due to privacy laws in other countries preventing it's uptake there.
The MG4 is still good tho. Easily the best price/performance EV going. It's just a shame the UK model lacks the heat pump or it'd be unbeatable here.

I thought the same as you about the 360 camera that is quite handy. When you are reversing into a parking spot, particularly The top view we can line up exactly in the middle of the parking spot.

I would still buy an electric one, but a second hand. The price drops so much after a while.. Even this MG4 is about 5k usd cheaper after a year (the new one!) The price drops faster than I pay my loan🥲🥲
'The steering light under acceleration' Could that just be there is no torque steer as all front wheel drives have?

This is a modern wasteful mentally, why would you care that after 12 months it depreciated in value? Are you changing your petrol/diesel ICE car every year? Madness. Humans are killing the earth because of that mentally. Use and re-use.
