Anyone else hoping for one more major dip in TSLA before making the climb back up?
back to 100 for a nice double bottom would be nice, i know id buy more lol
Absolutely not
I want $200 first, then I’ll be ok with a pull back to around $165.
Of course TSLA is going to dip, I just bought another 150 shares.
Got some cash queued up, watching daily to make a move at the right time...
Tesla is the best car company ever! No gas stations, No oil changes, No smog check, No corrupt dealership, No catalytic converter and as fast as a $650,000 Lamborghini.
and no stock growth in 4 yrs. A real winner!
From $36.44 marts 13 2020 to $170.48 marts 13 2024 ≈ 368% growth, a real winner!
Yes! And they have somehow gotten people to pay $12k to Tesla to be a Tesla employee and work for Tesla training FSD! Tesla should be paying them to train. How did so many people fall for this???
@@chrisg8995 Yea, how did Tesla fool thousands of people into buying a $50k program for $12k?!
@@chrisg8995 smart thinking, at one time it was $15K and it was $6K some years ago.
Actually it is quite impressive to sell an unfinished software product for $12K to private people, I don't think that anyone before has done that
@ 13:45 my counter argument - ice cars/non autonomous car don't monitor "people's 👀 on the road" eg. Texting 😮
yes, but they're also not really using these adas features that are causing drivers to lose focus
@@DillonLoomis22Drivers lose focus regardless. At least when they do, there's some kind of safeguard with an ADAS system of some kind.
@@DillonLoomis22I've personally seen a taxi driver in Fairfax VA reading a newspaper while driving on US-50. The presence or lack of ADAS presence would've made no difference with this type of driver.
…………. Solved w/a Neuralink chip
3:03 The problem with this chart is that it it includes CO2 emissions from production of electricity for BEVs but exclude CO2 emissions from production of gasoline, the CO2 bar for ICE cars should be 24% higher to include it or the BEV bar should be zero, oh, it says diesel vehicles, then it is 30% higher
Nothing about oil spills, abandoned oil wells or microbial plastic in YOUR water? CO2 is important but debatable forever.
True
If a Tesla is not good at monitoring the driver, then Why The F am I getting nagged frequently.
Government
You haven't put on glasses with eyes on them and/or the wheel weight? Silly us humans that aren't irresponsible behind the wheel.
I don't get it. My wife's Y absolutely hates me 😅
Bigdoug
Maybe it's just your personality?
NHTSA does not care about safety. If they did all cars built after 2019 would have a center screen and a camera on the front bumper to make pulling into traffic safer.
I test drove a Tesla today and every time I turned my head away from road to look anywhere other than straight ahead, I got a warning from the autopilot software, almost immediately.
Yeah. The didn’t test the latest version.
Absolute absurdity. - will not continue I’ll get to th bottom of this problem………… puts on eyes on th road not important hat
CT for shareholders sounds like a good idea. They probably have more disposable income, so more likely to complete the sale, versus many early reservation holders that may balk at the current price. I think this is a smart way to increase demand at the current price. It probably still costs more to manufacture than the sale price, so it's important to keep the sale price high until costs come down.
Is this valid? If so why is it posted on a non tesla web site? Cybertruck club is web site is not official as far as I can tell. Seems strange to me
I just spoke a tesla salesman. That is a scam!!!!!!
1/3 of a share was bought w blood sweat an tears dangerous axx worked hard for money hardly disposable
I'm happy to be jumped in line as the longer it takes to get my CT the more hope I have that CT will deliver on it's original range promise.
Regarding autopilot, if a driver falls asleep while in the vicinity of your family on the highway, would you prefer that their car have FSD engaged, or not?
> _According to the National Sleep Foundation, about 6,400 people die each year in crashes involving drowsy driving_
Front cameras.
.
The best position would be a pair of cameras, each with a 120° field of view, set with a centre 30° off straight ahead *inside each headlight enclosure*
.
That would give full 180° "look around" view *at the tip of the nose* for entering junctions, and good parking awareness while being more protected than a low down nose camera.
.
It may even replace the high up central stereo vision?
add gas refining to that chart
In the CO2 chart where is the emissions for diesel/gas oil extraction, production and transport?
900 parts for million methane
Good update. Good question about security and Lidar.
Hi Dillon, I feel fortunate to live and work in Fremont, it’s a very special city. Also, proud to have Tesla here. Cheers 🍻
I qualify for the early CT, but there's one little hiccup - I don't have $100k to spend.
If you had another $100k, you'd still buy more TSLA and still not enough to buy a CT. I'm a mind reader, correct?
When the 100 thousand dollar customers are fulfilled I suspect Tesla will once again start dumping price. Be patient and you'll get a significantly better deal.
@@mochutasull739That's what I'd do...
Same
It would be cool if they would say hey if you have x amount of stocks what do
You want and just bite the bullet and give it to you ;) I know wishful thinking but I am the same I qualify but don't have the 100k lol😅
All the GM SuperCruise commercials show the driver’s hands nowhere near the wheel.
It's not required. They require keeping your eyes on the road. But to be fair, they are geo locked.
Lol @ 4:18 my counter argument - How many people have eyes 👀 on the bumper? Or forward of the windshield/B pillar 😅
When comparing lifetime EV carbon footprint - if the battery manufacturing footprint is included for EVs, then oil extraction and refining footprint should also be included for ICE. I doubt the CO2 emissions included this bit...
109%
love the rounding Dillon!
the model y is already pretty naggy if I even glance at the center screen to control a car function for more than. a second or two I get dinged
Just completed a three-year
80,000 club kilometre on our model three. The brakes were hardly Laura Warren at all. They completed a number of other ware items which we were impressed as we had not detected any need for their attention.
My CT order number is around 650,000. I don't mind people jumping the line. I really want to capture a year or two of Tesla's continuous improvements before I get mine. I think it will be my last vehicle for a very long time. Besides, it doesn't have FSD yet which is my biggest reason for getting it
Thank you Dillon
Excellent work Dillon! Keep it up!
Thanks!
If IIHS really cares about safety when the system fails and the driver has to take over, they need to measure whether a fully alert driver can intervene in time. That means the system is good at displaying its plan to the user, only fails in a way that gives a human supervisor time to avoid a safety incident, etc. They also need to be measuring inadvertent disabling of the ADAS system.
Add to that, brakes that never wear out if you use the regen properly.
I can take advantage!!! Thanks for the news!!!
I have 200,000 miles on the original brakes :) 2018 stealth performance 3
Dylan Thank You 🎉
4:40 I agree with the "wideangle peeker" cams in the edges of the front and rear bumpers to see around corners and blind spots. Good for parking, overtaking, intersections, etc.
Being professionally trained at doing life-cycle assessments, and being recently retired, so having both time as well as a will to keep my skills up-to-date, I have done my own for Teslas, and other EV brands, vs comparable ICE cars. I can confirm that the BloombergNEF report, from which the chart presented in the video comes, while certainly not wrong for many EV brands, is WAY over-conservative for Teslas!
The carbon-debt incurred by the construction of, for instance, a Model 3 RWD, is paid back after as few as 5'000 miles in France, 7'000 miles in Germany as well as in the US, 9'300 miles in China, and 13'500 miles in Poland, where coal is still used at world-record level.
For the Model 3 LR, add to the above "break-even" mileages 80-90% to account for a) the larger battery, b) its different chemistry (the manufacturing of LFP batteries generating significantly less emissions than either NMC or NCA batteries), and c) a second motor. But in the worst of worst cases, that break-even comes after only some 27'000 miles.
Over a 250'000 km/155'000 mi lifetime, as chosen by Bloomberg, the TOTAL CO2 emissions of a Tesla would be ca. 75% lower than those of an ICE car in Europe (EU average), and around 68% in the USA. The savings would be even higher taken the recycling of (mainly) the battery at end-of-life, but my model does not take that into account, as the data for such a calculation is still not known well enough.
11:11) that SU-7? Holee Frunk! What a beauty...
thanks for letting me know about the early delivery potential! I do qualify but I don't wanna get my hopes up! but i registered in hopes ill get on the list!
I just bought another 150 shares. Actually plan to buy and sell those 150 at dips and peaks and keep the rest untouched.
Wish I could ;) but I can… ok so main question is are we at a bottom with support or will we keep dipping ?
Quoting relevant Chinese law: “ALL ORGANIZATIONS and CITIZENS shall support, assist, and cooperate with national intelligence efforts.” The term “national intelligence” is not defined. The law states elsewhere“national intelligence” relates to conduct that endangers or concerns “the national security or interests of the People’s Republic of China.”
About the bumper camera, Not sure if it will be able to see around corners. I'm not sure if that was you that made a video about cameras in the headlights But that will be the best option Keep doing what you doing
Man, Lars Moravy needs to set an X profile pic already! 😆
Sounds like somebody at IIHS designed a test only their 2 favorite companies could pass.
ooof, i really dont see that new hyundai doing that well... thats a hefty pricetag
yep, im not a fan of the styling either...exterior or interior
People don’t have eyes on the front bumper.
4:48 all cars should have a front bumper camera so drivers can see to pull out. NHTSA is not interested in safety. If they were, it would be mandatory on all cars built since 2019.
I'm not saying Chinese Lidar isn't a threat, but the NSA [and yes, I know you're reading this, Bob!] is gathering more data on us than we can comprehend.
13:25 If they are getting so strict. They also should do it for the regular driver. So, the improvement isn't affected by annoyance.
Nanny cams are coming for all drivers. It was passed in the inflation reduction act. Gov wants to be able to monitor for impaired drivers. Believe it’s required by 2025 on all new vehicles.
Many other types of equipment use lidar, including aircraft based lidar used for surveying.
I sent in my proof to Tesla for early CT delivery, hopefully they get back to me soon! I'd love to be among the first in Canada to get one.
Dillon, I think I heard you say "unchartered". I believe you meant "uncharted". If that was a slip of the tongue, then please disregard this comment. If not, then I believe you will want to know the difference between those words.
Keep up the good work. I really appreciate your videos. 🙏👍
13:07 thanks for the reality check, showing this is “not just Tesla being singled out” we all need to hear this every once in a while and stop with the crazy conspiracy theories. There are plenty of genuine cases of Tesla being targeted without making up new ones
Im car hauler truck driver that hauls rivian along with many others both ice and ev. Just to put it out there, right now, rivian is overflowing with finished cars at the normal, il plant. They are currently out of room for staging that they have taken to parking in the surrounding fields as well as renting large parking lots from state farm and other large businesses in the area. I bring this up because the amount of loads we are shipping has steadily decreased for quite a while now. When i asked some of the employees about the reasons, i was told "nobody is buying." They went on to say that the rumor was that RJ sold his stocks and since he had no real skin in the game they aren't real excited about the new model roll out he did the other day..
All this is from a few hourly employees, and obviously, they are the worst sources of information but i figured i would pass along the gossip.
Im personally rooting for rivian. Besides the obvious financial benefits in the work they provide me, i want to see them challenge tesla. Not to take away from them but to motivate tesla to even bigger and better things in the future. So far, the legacy carmakers domestically are really shitting the bed there. Lol!
Excellent matrix headlights would be fantastic upgrade for me.
If V12 can do the round abouts in Carmel, it can do them anywhere.
If v12 can’t drive on certain intersections/conditions… then Tesla should mark them and enable non-intervention driving where mistakes are never made.
Battery storage at giga Berlin would guarantee th local community constant voltage to hospitals clinics restaurants an residents -but WHO DOES THAT??????
I only have roughly 200 shares and I received the email mentioned at the beginning of the video. I have held shares since 2020 FYI.
Was the Bloomberg NEF article from 2021? Other wise I cannot find it.
Fremont is tough on crime, may have something to do with it
Around 14:00 I call BS on 'driver monitoring systems' - wasted money as the driver is responsible. Any move in IIHS direction could be argued that manufacturers become responsible at some point. BS. BS. BS. Until a mfgr claims responsibility, it is NOT their responsibility - it's the driver. Read the friggin'' DMV handbook.
well i guess i wont need any of my stock money for another year or two, so a pretty massive dip would be beneficial for continuing to buy. I've gotta pay off this margin so if it hits near 100 i can load up even more :P
5:20 do you think the B-pillar cameras provided sufficient info for making the turn?
Yes, roughly the same place humans 👀 are
I've just seen a Geely's ZEEKR 001 Performance made in China, in this country from Europe they are asking for 4000 euros more than a Model Y Performance made in Germany...
Lol. Too bad for my. I bought the "critical" chunck of my tsla on 10 may 2021.
Isn’t the peg ratio (P/E)/growth % ? So in your forward looking example, 45/(.1) = 450? Why would 10% growth be 10 instead of .1 or 1.1?
just how the metric works...pe divided by growth rate. so if pe is 45 and growth rate is 10% its 45/10. for a company expected to grow 25% with a pe of 50 the peg would be 2 (50/25)
You need to distinguish between side facing cameras that could be mounted near the front of the car and the front facing front bumper camera that we know is coming. Side facing cameras could help with visibility in scenarios such as the one cited in your video but IMO likely aren’t necessary. I think the engineers who designed the current sensor suite know more and are much smarter than any of the commenters I see.
how would you keep a bumper camera clean ?
In how many countries is Tesla delivering cars? I see 40 as of 2022
I thought the 202 model Y Performance was 3.1 sec?
I think tesla should do more shareholder perks.
The front bumper camera for fsd would not be a good idea from a psychological standpoint. Disengagements would skyrocket when the car sees so much more than the driver can. Maybe after the beta phase has ended.
They better bloody not need front cameras because my 2022 doesn't have them!
Germany Bosch has stopped Lidar for automotive. Guess one is aware of Musk's views on Lidar.
On the chart of ICE versus EV lifetime CO2 emissions, it's worth pointing out that the chart relates to 2023 vehicles. Most ICE cars on the road were produced before then, and would have had higher emissions...
Why is the audio so low… :/ please fix it
I still haven’t gotten any V12!!!??
me either sir, 99% havent!
I recently purchased Tesla Model 3, it's a great 2nd car. But with the EV credit gone it's gotten expensive, but still probably one of the best car I've owned
Yes, I just can't tell my wife when I do it.
What about those of us who purchased and currently own two 2022 Model Ys? That should be worth something IMHO
Get a teleprompter software and put it under the camera :)
I’ve stopped using Autopilot, it’s not worth the nags. IIHS should apply the same criteria to cruise control, invasive cameras watching every second to make sure you don’t abuse that sweet sweet auto throttle.
Hey Tesla bull, can you tell me when stock price stops going down?
LiDAR is not specifically about location - like GPS.
It is about details.
3D details.
Dimensions.
Shapes.
Contours.
Yes, AND the very specific location of the fine grain point cloud details it collects in an XYZ map of the world.
Hmmm..
It's partly about location. It creates a voxel space with which it can then map onto a previously scanned route with low latency and high accuracy. Secondary is it can map objects on the road but it's slower than radar and can't identify the object like vision.
Phillip.
@@philliptemple9841 yes, you are correct. I said as much. All below the fold line. Voxel space and point cloud are the same thing. I said the other things, too. But it’s not just gps.. which was kind of the almost blowing it off takeaway.
I get that he’s got 15 minutes to cover 20 items.
Not expecting a research paper but this is exactly what comments can be for.
Isn't that where we find Satan?
@@PaulShanley We're on the same page but I'm emphasising how wildly inappropriate GPS would be. The primary purpose of, LiDAR is for accurate vehicle placement on tbe recorded map. The object detection is secondary. I'm not contradicting you though.
Phillip.
@@FrunkensteinVonZipperneck That's in the Kremlin.

Question - anyone: @2:53 why does the UK production of EVs AND ICEs create less than 50% of the CO2 emmisions compared to the other shown countries?
I've covered that.
Renewables (mainly wind) have been our predominant generation source over the last 12 months
±37% renewable (31% wind)
±33% Fossil (note coal 1%!)
±14% Unclear Energy.
.
Plus "other".
.
Note: we were 30-40% coal a decade ago(!)
.
It can be done!
.
2014? My guess is
Renewables about 45%
Fossil about 26% (RIP coal, last plant closing)
Unclear? Unchanged ±14%
.
👍
It will be interesting to see how, or if, auto insurers will cover accidents when FSD is in use. And since Tesla still hasn't offered their own insurance in most of the US, this makes their opinion pretty worthless too.
@3:00 Don't know about this model but many of these models don't really have a way to include recycling of battery materials at end of life and the lower carbon footprint which will result for the next generation of battery pack manufactured from those materials. It just sort of inputs the battery manufacturing emissions like the battery is consumed like a fuel.
Most are also "Right now", not forward looking to when the grid is 50%, 80%, or finally 100% renewable
PEG Ratio is not good at measuring ‘cyclical’ growth stock
you a peter lynch guy eh? lol
with all the privacy concerns going on , the last thing people want is additional cameras watching their every move. I’m all for Tesla with everything they’re doing but , i don’t like the cabin camera watching me while driving. Not Cool 😎 👎
That ship sailed a LOOOONG time ago.
This is a great idea. It doesn't effect me but if someone has held shares for along time, it's because of people like that which made Tesla survive and be the company that it is today! Nobody should be upset.
V12 FSD still looks scary, take a regular cab
The quote Lars said is in Swedish, not Norwegian 🤦♂
The best way to drive is to enable all the autopilots, all the eye monitoring and nags and bring your wife and make she's paying attention as well.
👍
Just a heads up, you're showing some charts at the end of the video I would like to take a poll and how many people even have a clue how to read that it looks like a hot mess. Maybe your average person doesn't have a clue how to read.
Not a poll.., a chart, to demonstrate how many have a clue how to read charts... 🤪
So I can switch to LFP battery and make my SR+ slower? No thanks.
Phillip.
My 2017 auto off high beams work properly until the approaching car gets close, in which time the beams flash high again, blinding the unsuspecting poor soul. It's almost funny.
So you think it's funny to blind another driver , what a prick.
Sorry yours doesn’t work well. I’ve had 4 Teslas. Auto hi-beams have worked very well for me…even on the winding, hilly roads around my neighborhood.
@@737smartin Yea I didn't think this was a Tesla thing. Maybe a model thing. Insignificant enough for people to brush it off or even not notice it. I doubt it's a hardware thing - otherwise other camera-based functions would be failing as well, and they aren't.
0:36 I’m get tired of Tesla’s BS regarding deliveries. They already have huge demand and they start shipping to stars and everyone else. I ordered the first day, within minutes. I held their stock and still do. I don’t want the hassle they are causing. Just give me my truck asap and stop screwing around. As a shareholder I think they have some people making these delivery decisions that should be fired. Frankly I’m almost ready to just cancel. The RAM charger is looking really good right now.
So, according to Bloomberg, the total CO2 emissions from building the mechanical part of an electric car are equivalent to the CO2 emissions caused by the production of a complete ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) car of the same size. This implies that the production of an engine and gearbox is essentially 'free' in terms of CO2 emissions. To me, this graph seems very biased in favor of ICE cars!
