I know that would have helped me when I first started. As always, thank you for the entertainment!
just a tiny observation but you made it sound like the Gas Generator doesn't recharge batteries which it absolutely does :) I generally have my gas gen connected to my battery gen in case I don't get on server for a while to increase the length of running time without me being present, at least until I get to the solar panels :) Then they replace the gas gen in most applications. I also have my lights on a timer that come on at night and power down at day to save power or have them attached to motion cams so only the rooms Im in get powered :) Who remembers when you could force a power overload and make the power work in reverse to make reverse opening garage doors? They would remain open when off and close when powered meaning you could place them flat and have them open (or closed depending on how you look at it) to go into an underground base/parking area. That was one of the most fun builds I ever did. This was a super informative and informational rich video. Very very well done. I have no doubt there is something for everyone to learn in this video. Awesome stuff. and yes Im commenting a second time as I have watched this several times lol

Great video as always. One thing I'd like to add about the motion sensors and dart traps. If you use arrow slits or other shapes in front of the camera, you can block out a lot or all of the unwanted areas and have it covering the dart path only. Plus, it often eliminates the need for relays.
Holy cow the editing is so above and beyond. As a former youtuber I applaud you. I can imagine the amount of time and know-how put into this. Good tips, too, lol :)

Awesome Mad Scientist Vibes! ! ! Does Taco have a sister who likes to game = ) You have spent your time for us and That is a Complete Blessing, Thank You !
Thanks for making this video you guys. I noticed similar block height changes and have made my bases taller. I've used the switchback design to make this taller base more accessible as they do not run all the way out to the start of my stairs then run the long straight path to me. Switchback fixes this and I see less confused zombies. Spikes around the main pillar used to fix this but even that is getting hard to implement. I really appreciate all your videos, I've learned so much since discovering your channel.
I'm glad you could make the proper adjustments to your base after watching the video! The AI changes have slightly tweaked base design as you mentioned but nothing we can't adapt.

Advanced electrical. Sometimes you don't want something to turn ON when triggered but rather OFF. Example would be a player path that's lined with electric fences that are always active. A camera sees the player and shuts off the fences for a period of time. Enough for a player to run through before turning back on.
Day 21, new to 1.0 (played a lot years ago), horde night. Basically just staying alive on top of a POI that I fixed up a bit for horde night. Horde has been going on for awhile and out of nowhere appears a huge, fast beast... completely unknown to me. A dire wolf apparently. After nailing it with many an arrow and some of the little 7.76 that I had, I was interested to see what it would take to kill it. It was at that point that another dire wolf showed up. Trying to kill the damn things I fell off the roof... twice. Very fortunate and quick to place blocks I scrambled back up on the roof without taking damage but man, my posterior was puckered water tight. Damn those things are fierce. If I run into one in a POI I'll probably soil myself, alt+f4 and scream like a little girl. Thanks for the great video, liked and subbed!
Thanks mate, this is a great help even tho I have been playing for a while (on & off) there is alot I did not know. I liked that you are straight to the point!
Another perfectly commentated and informative video. Kudos :) Even with 4k hours in the game this was interesting and useful to watch. Appreciate your dedication!
Hey Pseudo love your stuff! Wondering if you could do a video/tutorial building a horde base that would still allow you to collect loot bags mid-action from safety? Most bases that incorporate traps or drops don’t allow you to get the loot bags before they expire, and the new changes to the duration of horde nights make this an even bigger issue. Second request was if you can cover the various applications of the double double railing (ends only) block, where placing multiple next to eachother gets rid of the in-between railings. Thanks and keep killing it!
I was messing around with a design for that a while back. A corridor with a vertical blade trap, and electric fences. One side of the corridor and the bottom were railing blocks. I think I was using two steel hatches at the one end of the corridor. This was over a year ago, and my memory isn't great. It was mostly a proof of concept. A solo player would be very busy, but I believe it can be done.
I love this video very much. Not only it is an amazing work very well put together but it incorporates a lot of past videos' best of the best moments. The music just reminds me of all the ole good moments. Thanks a lot for the massive efforts.
One of my favorite things to do is place a dart trap pointing down a ladder, with a trip wire on top of the trap, and the other tripwire underneath a vault hatch at the bottom of the ladder.
Madly in love with your channel. Keep it up! I tried messing with water buckets to fill up a hole but physics are very clunky. Can you please make a video on water physics?
Thank you!!! That is an excellent idea, I'll have to tinker around with water. Usually I avoid it because it is so wonky but I can dive into in the name of science :D
Thank you for all your hard work! Watching the zombies go through a ninja warrior course has been informative and fun, so I hope you keep up the great work in the future!
if you cant find his "cube 1/4 meter" the in game nomenclature is "cube 0.25m" i had to look through all the cube commands in creative. great video glad i watched it very helpful
Very good thorough video love the extra options and instead of saying it it's worse but you can use it you give example of what makes it better or makes the other more useful depending what you are trying to do
Love it! Always good to have block options that you hadn't considered before. The replacement tool deserves a master class, but the G/Shift+G tip was something I've been looking for. Thanks!!
Nice video! A note though: It can be risky to place the electric fenceposts jutting out from the wall like you did in your video in the Electricity 101 part as spider zombies can and will sometimes jump on them to try and get to you, so be mindful of how you angle them and where you place them in regards to your position :)
Thanks for noting that potential issue! Generally I build higher with no line of sight so in that scenario, they'll never reach the posts. But as you mentioned, if you build low enough and are visible from outside, that could absolutely be a danger.
Simply a fantastic resource (I'm a new player, best game ever, best educational video) thank you. Re-watching I am left with more & more questions: do zombies know if doors are open or closed & how does it affect pathing (for backup paths & escapes to fall back positions)? Is it possible to build such that they won't attack (shape etc) except for a very few known points (I've spent hours doing repairs, finding what needs repaired can be a huge chore). A challenge: Can someone inclined build a base using as many wood planning blocks as possible strengthening essential points only & survive/handle a strong horde? Conditions: only trap = wood spikes, melee defendable, disable ranged / explosive zombies yes, others no.
Welcome to the game and to the channel! Here is an itemized answer to your questions: 1) Zombies do know if doors are open/closed. If you accidentally or intentionally leave a door open, zombies will rush toward that direction assuming there isn't an easier path. 2) It is possible to build a base in which zombies mostly attack a single point of the base. This is possible through giving them a direct path to your position that is adequately protected. All the shapes I mention in the video are suitable for that purpose. We have TONs of base videos on the channel you can check out for some ideas. Some base build links are included in the video description. 3) It is possible and we've done it: ruclips.net/video/7osWq-8yYQI/видео.html. Since this attempt, I've learned more about cop spit safe blocks (which is included in this video) which will make this base impervious to cop spit. Plus, the new ramp 6m 03 shapes would work better than the wedge narrows. Hope that answers your questions, best of luck!

What a harrowing story! Sounds really exciting, I hope your journey will take you to some interesting places. And of course, welcome aboard!
@@pseudoposse Thank you fine sir and cheers! Thanks for making awesome videos and thank you Taco for the great editing!
@@xAnAngelOfDeathx Taco and I thank you very much!
Thanks mate, this is a great help even tho I have been playing for a while (on & off) there is alot I did not know. I liked that you are straight to the point!
That's awesome to hear! Glad it still provided information for you!
Another perfectly commentated and informative video. Kudos :) Even with 4k hours in the game this was interesting and useful to watch. Appreciate your dedication!
That is awesome to hear that you still gained some benefit even having 4k hours! You are most welcome!
This is the video I’ve been searching for!!! Amazing content! Thank you!
Very glad it was useful for you!
dude....HOW do you not have a insane sub base!!! this video is amazingly detailed!
Hahaha I appreciate the sentiment! It is hard to get noticed on YT but we are happy to build the channel one person at a time. Welcome!
@@pseudoposse hard to get noticed anywhere these days. But it's quality content like this that shines through. Keep it up 😊😊
Ps. U can thank iSyzen as it was cos of his recent insane difficulty 100 days run on 7 days that I wanted to check your builds out
@@Tazman345 We'll definitely keep it up! Always working on the next project :D
That's cool! Definitely appreciative :)
Those are some great ideas! I'll definitely have to think about those :)
A solo player would be very busy, but I believe it can be done.
building my first base this week! Thanks for all the info!
Good luck with your build!
What a badass video. The information given in this video is amazing. This is a one stop shop for a 7 Days to Die video. Teaches you so much. 10/10
I love this video very much. Not only it is an amazing work very well put together but it incorporates a lot of past videos' best of the best moments. The music just reminds me of all the ole good moments. Thanks a lot for the massive efforts.
That is very nice of you to say! We are glad you enjoyed all of our efforts and past endeavors :)
One of my favorite things to do is place a dart trap pointing down a ladder, with a trip wire on top of the trap, and the other tripwire underneath a vault hatch at the bottom of the ladder.
It is very satisfying!
DUDE u absolutely nailed this vid
The amount of effort you put into this is huge!
Appreciate that, thank you!
This is the best educational video for this game I have been looking for ❤ thank you 😂😂😂
I'm pleased you think so!
Just found your content and let me say this video is well made, and ive linked it to all my mates to watch, thanks!!
Awesome, welcome to the channel!!
Thank you for all your hard work! Watching the zombies go through a ninja warrior course has been informative and fun, so I hope you keep up the great work in the future!
Haha glad you liked this addition of zombie reality tv :D
Stay tuned for more!
Great video! You explained everything really well and your examples were perfect!
I always try to provide good examples instead of just saying something so I am glad you liked it!
Great video!!! Very informative! That commenter seems like a smart guy. lol
You got that right!
Your videos are always so informative and helpful. I've racked up over 2k hours in 7 days and still learned some new tricks so thankyou!
That makes me very happy to hear! Glad I can show a vet a new thing or two :D
if you cant find his "cube 1/4 meter" the in game nomenclature is "cube 0.25m" i had to look through all the cube commands in creative. great video glad i watched it very helpful
That was extremely informative. Thank you!
This is the most helpful 7dtd tips video I've watched. Thanks!!!
I'm glad you think so!
You sir, have earned my sub. So much information I can’t even take it all in at once.
Happy to provide a lot of information, hope it comes handy! And welcome aboard :)
Incredible video, as ever! So detailed
Really glad you think so!
You put a lot of work into this, gotta sub
I dont comment much but this is must for algorithm.
Haha thanks for supplying the algorithm 😁
Would like to see more Taco adventures! Ty both for the content!
Absolutely, taco will make more appearances in the near future!
Amazing video mate. Don't think you missed anything out. Fantastic video.
I really appreciate that a lot!!
Great tips and this helped me understanding building bases and the zobmie pathing. Thank you!
Very welcome!
that's a comprehensive and detailed tutorial well done 👍
Thank you, glad you liked it
Incredibly high quality video!
Thank you so much!!
Another amazing video. Thank you!
No problem, it was fun to make!
Very good thorough video love the extra options and instead of saying it it's worse but you can use it you give example of what makes it better or makes the other more useful depending what you are trying to do
I always try to give examples when explaining something. I am happy you picked up on that detail!
Love the videos. Always very useful!
Awesome, glad to hear it!
This was insanely helpful as a brand new player!! Thank you so much for this
We are happy to help! This guide was meant to get new players up to speed so I'm happy it served its purpose.
Fantastic in depth video, thanks for the information!
Happy to provide! Hope it is useful for your future builds :)
*Taco you are LEGEND!* 😁 Thanks for the great 7D2D tips tutorial Pseudo Posse.
She absolutely is the legend!! Thank you for watching!
this is mad useful and scientific , love it
I live and breathe science!!
Love it! Always good to have block options that you hadn't considered before. The replacement tool deserves a master class, but the G/Shift+G tip was something I've been looking for. Thanks!!
No problem! Always happy to provide more options! It was rather surprising how difficult it was to find information about the replacement tool.
Here is an itemized answer to your questions:
1) Zombies do know if doors are open/closed.
Now i just need to farm for 10 days for Metall and Ammo^^
Great Video , nice Tips and Tricks for my base!
You can never have too much ammo!
Awesome job again! 7dtd became like ten times more interesting after I stumbled across one of your guide videos.
Haha thanks! Glad to have re-ignited your interest in the game. Have fun!
This is the best guide for base building, thank you!
