If you haven’t already, maybe some fav horde bases or some trap bases? Currently playing through on navezgane, and I’m creating a bunker with blade traps in the front, and a spike moat around the perimeter, thinking of turrets on top for the future.
Heres some tips from me, you can dig the buried treasure hole before activating the quest to avoid most of the zombies that will spawn, the only zombies that will appear are the ones when you open the chest Sometimes the blocks around a heavy door have less hp than the door itself You don’t need lock picks if you have an auger or heavy pick axe, smashing a locked crate open often takes the same amount of time as relying on lock picks (it’s good to know later in the game, it also works on treasure chests) You can hit birds nests for feathers but you can search them and not take the loot then smash them to get double feathers and the egg sometimes You don’t need the purifier for the few collecter if you just put a campfire nearby and use it to clean the water, it’s a simple way to save 7k dukes early game (the dew collector is also a good early priority, making 1-2 can save you lots of hassle searching for water early game) It’s easy to save for a cooking pot at the beginning as most traders sell one for 600 dukes It is most efficient to aim for the chest on a zombie when you begin as you may stun them and have an easier time hitting them over a headshot, but landing a first shot while sneaking can triple the damage too Two electric traps near your front door of your base can be a lifesaver early game as they stall zombies in place for ages and can help control the flow of zombies during horde nights (traders sell them cheap sometimes) Mega crush is somewhat expensive but can save you a lot of time early game with its 50% speed boost, it can double the amount you do in a day if used wisely and greatly cuts travel time (it’s usually sold in vending machines for 720 but can be found rarely in soda machines later on) Leather is gotten from animals and is very useful late game, it’s worth trying to scrap leather office chairs you pick up as it can save you tons of hassle in the future Scrapping cars is an op way to make lots of dukes and gather essential parts, most cars respawn when you reset poi’s just never destroy police cars since they offer lots of ammo and sometimes gear ATM’s contain cash which sells for a high price at traders, they work like locked chests Traders often have a few forge ahead books in their empty broken stations, like in trader rekts forge or cement mixer, forge ahead is a very important book early game I’m pretty sure you can use some consumable on allies if you click when while holding stuff (though I’m not sure if it’s true) Screamers usually only summon a horde if they see you and get a chance to scream before you can kill them Steroids are insane early game if you have spare water to counter the water loss, the 10% movement and non encumberence makes loot trips much faster, it also protects you from increasing the duration of a sprained leg Late game mining a huge chunk while using an auger is very good with grandpa’s learnin’ elixir to gain levels while getting lots of stone and ores very quick Each trader specialises in specific things (it’s obvious but good to know, like getting infection cures from Jen early game) You can intentionally light many campfires to summon screamers for exp The machete works like a hunting knife (it’s good for gutting animals) The snow biome has lots of animals but it can be dangerous, to deal with bears just make some spikes and climb on a pillar while bowing it down, they are great food early game If you can’t find a zombie in a clear the zombies poi mission they are usually on the roof, or a vulture hidden somewhere Some of these tips were obvious but a lot of things go under the radar, I just threw a lot of things to see what sticks
In regards to the purifying dew collector part; I was like day 2 or 3 when I got my first Water Purifier Mod for helmets. It allows you to drink any water instantly and not get dysentery. I know that's more based on luck than anything, but it couldn't have been more helpful for me early in the game before I had a legit base. I had 6-7 of that mod before I hit day 20, too lol they're crazy easy for me to find in my game.
@@mikebottorff593nah that’s the way to do it! For a tier 4-6 poi I get there 10 minutes early like it’s a job interview. Kill all the zombies before 9-10 am and than loot that place to the f’in ground like a Rite Aid after Katrina. I’m taking the venetian blinds for the poly and water heater for the iron.😂
My tip is that #2 Loot Respawn, works with #18 Buried Supplies (not the treasure maps) so mark the location on the map of any Buried supply quest you do and come back to that location in a week for free food (you won't have to dig a new hole either)
Easy horde base is using the letter blocks, which are full HP blocks. Use the advanced rotation to turn the first block flat on the ground and rotate the next to the top. When you stack them, it leaves a two block gap between them. They have full structural integrity. Zombies will just run under them and don't prioritize attacking the supports. So you can make a full floating block. It's a great way to survive during a blood moon, especially if you're doing an insane run with blood moon nightly.
For those of you with maxed Parkour and find window annoying to try and get through because u now jump too high, try crouching and then jumping. It's just a little hop and is often enough.
That's only if you don't have the magazine that makes your sneak jumps the same as normal. I just jump straight up then as I'm going down I move forward into the window.
Great video as someone who used to play this game for a solid while on ps4 and stoped for a long while coming back to the game has been crazy and has changed so much
If you can find and build out a farm of super corn, you can sell stacks of 125 for thousands of dukes. Combine this with sugar butts, awesome sauce, enforcer glasses, cigar, and daring adventure and you'll get between 8-9k dukes per stack.
Great video, enjoying the new series. My tip is dont do level 4 infested clears in the pine forest, then decide the first tier 5 infested should be grover high in the wasteland with only 3 stacks of ammo
In regards to tip 3 and cop cars. Heres a method if you dont have any lock picks but also dont want to fight a small hoard of zambamboz. Also, i can confirm this works in 1.0. Step 1: Mark the cop car on your map with a way point. Step 2: Break into cop car. Step 3: When the zombies spawn, run like hell. Step 4: Go about your day. Step 5: At the end of your day, return to the cop car. You will find that the zombies have de-spawned. Step 6: Collect the loot. Step 7: Profit Note that there is a minimal distance you have to travel away before the zombies de-spawn, but its not very far. To be safe id say travel around 200m+ from the cop car, and you should be fine.
Good vid, got a few thousand hours in and a couple of tips there that will help out. I seen someone mention about not emptying out birds nests when you have looted it so you can hit it with your axe and get more feathers. This can be expanded for plastic and cloth. Early game you want quite a lot of plastic to make dew collectors and you always need more cloth so play around with this concept with all loot containers. Simply press e to loot and once the loot has generated press e straight away to come out to container without emptying it. Destroy said container to get the resource and then a temp loot bag will drop with the prior loaded loot so its win win. Some containers like the janitor cart can be destroyed twice using this method. This is also vital when you are trying to harvest acid from the medical containers, the container must not be emptied if you want the chance to get acid, once you've read the magazine
Your content continues to be superb! And your series isn't being ruined by these huge live streams as part of it - which either I miss, and/or have zero desire to devote three hours or more to watching.
Over 1600 hours on legacy and almost 350 hours on 1.0. (playstation) so i thought i knew just about everything. that cargo mod trick for the drone is gonna be a game changer. cant wait to get off work to try it out. thanks for the heads up dude!
I knew a good chunk of these tips and tricks but was blown away by a few. Getting to stack the extra storage mod on a drone was the main one where I couldn't believe it. Thanks for the video!
Found out tip 1 by accident. Ran to do the quest and forgot to start it when I got there. Ran through the whole house and when I couldn't find the package I went back out and saw the quest marker still flashing. That's a nice little bonus if you have time!
Tip #38, modding before selling. You really want to do this with only t6 stuff. Because I've had it where let's say a t4 piece of armor with a mod or 2 in it will sell for less than what it would be selling the armor and mods separately. It's definitely not like it was before.
Here is a tip I always use. The challenge “cop slayer” (kill 50 cop zombies) has a crucible for a guaranteed reward. You can exploit this by going to POIs where cops spawn regularly to basically spawn kill them. I find that easier and faster than collecting 75 forge ahead or saving up the dukes. I can generally earn the crucible reward before I need steel for crafting.
As a newbie I found invaluable Wrench beds rather than chopping for cloth. They're good for springs that you run through. The cloth can be gotten by curtains, chairs, couches and plucking cotton plants while running about early game (can craft them into cloth) Brass can be gotten from tossing radiators from wrenched cars into the forge to smelt (took me some time to find that out) Crafting wooden logs can be a good fuel source for forges and cooking stations. They seem to run longer than the regular wood cost (though I haven't measured) Some items like springs cannot be crafted, so probably shouldn't scrap often. Probably a few like this.
If you find a drone in loot and want to sell it, make sure you repair it first as you can make a ton more dukes. Also batterys can still charge while poweing stuff, so long as you are not drawing the max 300 the generator can handle, it will use 5 over the draw amount in order to charge the batteries.

Oh I actually learned something amazing! I didn’t think you could use multiple storage mods in a drone. Figured it would be like armor mods on your armor. That’s really helpful, thanks.
My best tip after 8k hours is simple, don’t fear the night. Go out and explore. The only difference is that the zeds run. At first take it slow with a bow. Take pot shots and crouch away. They won’t find you easily.
I can man the night when my friends are on no problem. But I'm soo good a psyching myself out when I play solo so much that even when we'll equipped I'll hunker down on a roof if i didn't make it home
20:37 if you don't want to use Bones. Super corn can be used for glue. It's only 2 super corn which is cheaper than 4 bones. So instead of selling it you might find it easier to make Duct tape out of it.
Don't know if anyone else has said it, but learnin' elixir is great to use just before cashing in your achievement rewards - I like to wait a while and collect a few before cashing them in after drinking LE.
Digging supplies have a bit easier way to be done. You stand on the place where you see ! and dig down until you hit rocks, then dig around you as far as you could reach without moving yourself. When you look up you accept the quest and supply box appears very close to you. And make sure you dig some escape way before accepting or you with get trapped with the zombies.
Also any loot you don't want you can sell there for way more dukes and you dont even need barter item buffs. Absolutely op another content creator taught me this.
Moi Moin, hello, ni hao and thank you. Super corn: Also NDC (station) three. Super corn: for glue to (chem station) Iron / steel bars: green cylinder on lamppost, broken (!) automat or gas pump. Cooking magazines: found plenty at Dr.Jen, the lil house.
Dang, now I wish that I had bought this game when it was on sale for $5. Now the cheapest price is $30. I never expected a game like this to ever be finished.
Here is my tip. Whenever I mine I ensure I have the Mother Lode skill tree maxed so you get 200% resources. And if you have the art of mining books completed you get an additional 20% more making it 220% However art of mining volume 3 gives another additional 10% while being buzzed on coffee! Final 230% loot, I been doing this on my solo and multiplayer and always end up with more gas and resources then we need! Just keep an eye on the effect of the coffee to maximize ores!
The drone does follow you while driving, even when flying the Gyro. I just turn the voice off because it gets a bit annoying. It also has a tendency to get in your way while going through pois.
It loves to dodge around too which can be frustrating to select it. I only ever had it glitch out once and get stuck halfway to base from a poi and i had to commit a rescue mission just before a hoard night.
You can more than double dip. If you exit the game before completing a mission it resets the mission. You can infinitely dip. It does take the fun out of things if you over do it, but if you are struggling getting magazines and book and you are already hitting the tier 3 or 4 vender then go hog wild. My last playthrough I could not find almost an vehicle mods, a silencer, pocket mods... It was a weird playthrough because I also could not find any wheels. I made it through to the gyrocopter and found only 2 wheels total (this cost me 11 acid to make all the wheels), but the playthrough I just started today I have found 7 wheels in the first 3 days. I only have 15 vehicle magazines.
TIP: Cop Cars. An easier way to break into them is to first use the wrench/Disassemble Tool, this will totally remove the alarm without it going off - you can then pick away without the worry of a horde or wasting any lockpicks.
A little thing I found for duping POIs during missions. I looted a mission POI, then started the mission. I then looted it again but had to exit the game before turning the quest in. When I came back, I still had the quest but had to start the mission again and looted the POI a third time. I had to wait a couple hours before it would let me restart but I looted a nearby POI while waiting. I didn't test the limits of the exploit, though.
Learning elixirs work wonders if you save up your challenges, especially the "kill zombie" ones. Use the elixir before you work on your base or mine but also claim all your saved up challenges. Efficient
Not only street lights for easy steel, if you break down the gas pumps you also get steel. Nice thing about those is it goes hand in hand with the resetting poi's
I hope they make melee weapons more viable. Like maybe add massive a monster during blood moon. The monster will pass the base with an aggro radius that moves along with it. When the monster passes by and your base is within the radius, if there is electricity or gunfire, the monster will be lured and attack. During that moment, everyone has to use melee weapons without traps, which will probably add a new layer to the base defense. Of course, the giant monster is killable but only with specific weapons.
The skills books changes from when I last played a few alphas past is... Ugh it's infuriating. Loving 1.0 otherwise! Good vid NZ, churr bro from across the pond mate.
You can actually loot the same place an infinite amount of times as long as you got a retrieve supplies quest there. Activate the rally point, loot and make sure not to pick up the supplies. Then exit to main menu, rejoin and repeat
9:29 - I miss 'Press F to gather' from crops and wild plants :( It was so much more convenient for farming and collecting wild crops. No stamina required.
already tried that and it does not work. i put several bike handlebars, 4x4 accessories, gyrocopter accessories etc in a trader vendor and they all disappeared but i got nothing for them
I just started playing this game and have mixed feelings, it runs, plays and looks like shit, but at the same time there's not a lot of games offering this kind of experience, so I'll stick to it for a while, learn a lot now, thanks.
If you start a fetch quest loot the whole POI except the actual quest loot and exit out the game you’ll have to reactivate the quest. I don’t think there’s a limit to how many times you can do this and it might work with all quests as long as you don’t have the “return to trader” objective if that makes sense
Need Feathers in a hurry?: Open a bird nest, leave the items inside, then harvest the nest with an axe. You'll receive feathers and plant fibers from destroying the nest, plus any feathers or eggs that were inside will spawn as a dropped bag. Need some light while exploring a PoI in the early game?: Torches can be placed on walls or some other surfaces to light up a room, then later "retrieved" by harvesting them with an axe; pre-existing wall torches can be harvested in the same way.
5:37 - The best way to do this is this is to just have a genny hooked up to your battery bank ALL the time, with the bank ALWAYS on. When the battery bank dies, turn on the genny and the genny will then automatically power both the battery bank AND all power sources. IE - YOU ARE WRONG about needing to not power items from the bank when it is being charged. The genny will power all sources connected to the bank as well as the bank. If you want to check me on this, set it up this way and see what the output is of the battery bank: hint- it will be 0, because the genny took over.
LOOT RE-SPAWN - NOTE: I have not yet tested this on 1.0 .. but this worked all the way back to alpha 18 (at least) .. when you loot a chest/car/poi leave one rock or a brain (or whatever cheap item you want) in each chest/car/whatever-the-container and then return AFTER the re-spawn day .. when you take out the rock/brain/item and then re-open the chest it will re-spawn the loot .. the distance to the loot box/car is 8 squares or less when it is empty, but if you don't leave it empty it will re-spawn when you remove the item you left in there .. just don't open the container until after the re-spawn time/day .. if interrupted it "re-starts" the re-spawn clock/timer .. best of luck .. go kill Zeds ..
Because if it didn’t work like that after getting certain perks 1/5 zombies would drop a bag. It spreads out getting them when taking out smaller groups opposed to horde nights
Okay now I've seen two separate videos saying to put down blocks for buried treasure missions so you can see where the treasure is but... isn't that what the circle is there for? I don't understand at all how putting down blocks gives you any additional information that isn't already available?
For some people, putting blocks down just makes it easier for them to see which way the circle is shrinking toward. I also don't find it helpful, but some people do.
My tip is to learn on Nomad or Warrior and real play on 2 last hardest levels of difficulty otherwise the game is not that challenging. Also as I can see in this video cheating makes the whole experience not too satisfying - that includes double looting. This is just my own way of play.
Do videos of indepth character builds for 1.0, listing where you recommend placing skill points, which weapons to use and which armour is recommended for each build. I feel like there isn't much information out there right now for this in 1.0, I find most "build" videos are like 1-2 hour long let's play videos... It's quite annoying.
I cheese loot in quests by looting everything and then relogging as that allows you to redo the exclamation mark and reset the POI but keep everything you looted. Just don't finish the quest.
What Tips Tricks or Guide video do you want to see next?!?
How to pull trader jen : )
@NaturalBornNZ Have you heard about the game breaking bug that happens when you turn zombies off then back on or ?
If you haven’t already, maybe some fav horde bases or some trap bases?
Currently playing through on navezgane, and I’m creating a bunker with blade traps in the front, and a spike moat around the perimeter, thinking of turrets on top for the future.
Ooohh it's awesome to see so many views on your video 💜
Heres some tips from me, you can dig the buried treasure hole before activating the quest to avoid most of the zombies that will spawn, the only zombies that will appear are the ones when you open the chest
Sometimes the blocks around a heavy door have less hp than the door itself
You don’t need lock picks if you have an auger or heavy pick axe, smashing a locked crate open often takes the same amount of time as relying on lock picks (it’s good to know later in the game, it also works on treasure chests)
You can hit birds nests for feathers but you can search them and not take the loot then smash them to get double feathers and the egg sometimes
You don’t need the purifier for the few collecter if you just put a campfire nearby and use it to clean the water, it’s a simple way to save 7k dukes early game (the dew collector is also a good early priority, making 1-2 can save you lots of hassle searching for water early game)
It’s easy to save for a cooking pot at the beginning as most traders sell one for 600 dukes
It is most efficient to aim for the chest on a zombie when you begin as you may stun them and have an easier time hitting them over a headshot, but landing a first shot while sneaking can triple the damage too
Two electric traps near your front door of your base can be a lifesaver early game as they stall zombies in place for ages and can help control the flow of zombies during horde nights (traders sell them cheap sometimes)
Mega crush is somewhat expensive but can save you a lot of time early game with its 50% speed boost, it can double the amount you do in a day if used wisely and greatly cuts travel time (it’s usually sold in vending machines for 720 but can be found rarely in soda machines later on)
Leather is gotten from animals and is very useful late game, it’s worth trying to scrap leather office chairs you pick up as it can save you tons of hassle in the future
Scrapping cars is an op way to make lots of dukes and gather essential parts, most cars respawn when you reset poi’s just never destroy police cars since they offer lots of ammo and sometimes gear
ATM’s contain cash which sells for a high price at traders, they work like locked chests
Traders often have a few forge ahead books in their empty broken stations, like in trader rekts forge or cement mixer, forge ahead is a very important book early game
I’m pretty sure you can use some consumable on allies if you click when while holding stuff (though I’m not sure if it’s true)
Screamers usually only summon a horde if they see you and get a chance to scream before you can kill them
Steroids are insane early game if you have spare water to counter the water loss, the 10% movement and non encumberence makes loot trips much faster, it also protects you from increasing the duration of a sprained leg
Late game mining a huge chunk while using an auger is very good with grandpa’s learnin’ elixir to gain levels while getting lots of stone and ores very quick
Each trader specialises in specific things (it’s obvious but good to know, like getting infection cures from Jen early game)
You can intentionally light many campfires to summon screamers for exp
The machete works like a hunting knife (it’s good for gutting animals)
The snow biome has lots of animals but it can be dangerous, to deal with bears just make some spikes and climb on a pillar while bowing it down, they are great food early game
If you can’t find a zombie in a clear the zombies poi mission they are usually on the roof, or a vulture hidden somewhere
Some of these tips were obvious but a lot of things go under the radar, I just threw a lot of things to see what sticks
Thanks again for the info. Have a great day
Im a little late but for the mining. Its better with steel pick over auger. Auger get a - to xp gain. Pick also one hits stone, oil, and coal blocks
While I know all these tips, they would have been invaluable when I first started out. Good work.
Lucky looter for anybody who cant pass through a poi without looting everything, that increase in looting speed is worth the points
I cant help but to collect everything 😂 i find myself in a poi way longer then i probably should be

Oh I actually learned something amazing! I didn’t think you could use multiple storage mods in a drone. Figured it would be like armor mods on your armor. That’s really helpful, thanks.
Awesome vid mate and some greatt tips !
Genius
Your voice reminds me so much of Farket from The Forest community! 😂
Great video btw! 👍
Great video! I have 800+ hours in this game and still learned a few things
Also any loot you don't want you can sell there for way more dukes and you dont even need barter item buffs. Absolutely op another content creator taught me this.
Can you clarify this comment for me? I'm not sure what you're trying to say.
Moi Moin, hello, ni hao and thank you.
Super corn: Also NDC (station) three.
Super corn: for glue to (chem station)
Iron / steel bars: green cylinder on lamppost, broken (!) automat or gas pump.
Cooking magazines: found plenty at Dr.Jen, the lil house.
Very clear and informative video 💯 Thanks for the tips man 🙏🏽
Dang, now I wish that I had bought this game when it was on sale for $5. Now the cheapest price is $30. I never expected a game like this to ever be finished.
And they’re completely separate games. Had to buy twice. Yay!
Definitely learned more than a thing or two. Many thanks.
I haven't used the drone but if it follows you while on a vehicle...I may be in love. Off to try!
13:17 - I thought i was the only one who did this lol. It's a must have strategy for early game when you dont have much stamina and time.
I did this 2 days ago and it triggered the alarm. Maybe it's random?
@@Eman-San I tried it again, and it also now does the alarm - seems they patched it.
@@AlexPlayerDigital Glad I'm not alone. Thanks for the info.
This is an amazing video that all people should watch!
My favorite thing I learned in this video is that you can make pumpkin cheesecake in this game
This is truly incredible
HES BACKK 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great tips and tricks. Found it very helpful. Made a real life pumkin pie, as making it in game made me want to try it.... lol 😁🍴❤
Try pumpkin bread next time
@@kingpeekay7725thanks. I will definitely. ❤
Quality tips 👍
9:29 - I miss 'Press F to gather' from crops and wild plants :( It was so much more convenient for farming and collecting wild crops. No stamina required.
If you use the trader vender and sell bicycle handles or motor bike handle bars. You can make 50k for bicycle and 75k for motor bike etc.
already tried that and it does not work. i put several bike handlebars, 4x4 accessories, gyrocopter accessories etc in a trader vendor and they all disappeared but i got nothing for them
hey bro! good vid! kiwi player?
**Bone knife is the quickest to harvest crops but the stone Axe is the most efficient for seeds and food**
Thanks for all the tips and tricks! Next time you record, you should think about changing the window opacity. It is very difficult to read the text
gotta love doing KWISTS
you also get steel when salvaging vending machines (just make sure its not a functional vending machine) and from fuel pump
Good tips !
Awesome buddy thanks
Great video
Can't wait for you to do all pois again
I think theres around 700 POIs in 1.0 😅 so that one may take a while, Maybe a video for each tier of POI?
@NaturalBornNZ
750 but that would be a fun video to see 👀
@@NaturalBornNZmaybe the best ones! Or maybe the most common quest locations in each tier.
Thanks good vid
Thanks!
Thank you i appreciate it!
Best way to get cloth is breaking all the tents down at the checkpoints
23:24 They look like zombie Funko Pops!😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 however it just horrifying
Much appreciated video
Cheers survivor im glad you enjoyed it!
Best video for 7d2d!!!! Well done dude =))))
Tip 12: Do vending machines restock every day? I thought it took them 2 or 3 days...🤔
I'm sooo happy your back
Break curtains and trash with the bone knife, that's the fastest way.
2:45 It left me feeling numb 🥶
Is there any way to pick up storage crates and move them
No, sorry you're gonna have to make a new one and transfer the resources
Thanks
Mining chest piece is underrated. I can unlimited power attack with the steel pickax
thats thanks to points in miner 69r, but yea the outfit helps too
Fun fact: Wandering hordes only start getting a bonus chance to drop loot after you kill at least 3 zombies. Why? I don't know.
Doing the burried treasures used to be a lot more digging
Now, it's pretty easy
Tups and Truks!!
Where abouts are you from? Your accent is funny af I love it
Note the NZ at the end of his youtube name!
@@paintthetwndead New Zealand? Damn definitely an interesting accent tho 😅
A steel pickaxes with 3 points in miner69er and 1 in motherload is better than the auger in every situation
wrenching down broken vending machines also gives steel.
chhhheeeerrrsss maaaattteeee!
But also when you're digging for buried supplies, each time it shrinks zombies spawn. This only work for quests not treasure.
Hey survivors , ik heb en vraag . Als ik ikn land claim Block plaatsen over drie grens zit, krijgt ik probleem met save?
My tip is to learn on Nomad or Warrior and real play on 2 last hardest levels of difficulty otherwise the game is not that challenging. Also as I can see in this video cheating makes the whole experience not too satisfying - that includes double looting. This is just my own way of play.
Do videos of indepth character builds for 1.0, listing where you recommend placing skill points, which weapons to use and which armour is recommended for each build. I feel like there isn't much information out there right now for this in 1.0, I find most "build" videos are like 1-2 hour long let's play videos... It's quite annoying.
I’d remove the red border from the bottom of the thumbnail I thought I already watched this because of it !
thank you for the video, the GOAT DA GOAAATTTT
Thankz
I cheese loot in quests by looting everything and then relogging as that allows you to redo the exclamation mark and reset the POI but keep everything you looted. Just don't finish the quest.
