There is no official fully live video for Automatic Sun. But the one at the Tecate Pa’l Norte festival is just amazing. Pau’s drumming is on another level. Dany plays a baritone Fender guitar and it is very metal - especially the outro.

Dust to Dust, created when they were barely in their teens. Ale given major credit for the song when she was 11 or 12 years old. The Spanish spoken during the breakdown was a prerecorded track of their manager Rudy. In earlier performances Rudy joined them on stage in the role of a preacher preaching to the audience. He had difficulty keeping time with the band. In that haunting outro wail by Dany in the end, she did it in one breath while her fingers were busy on the guitar. Automatic Sun studio version over the live performance at the Tecate Pa’l Norte. Those who have heard the song played live said this is how they sounded.

The next song will always be your favorite The Warning song. The Tecate pal Norte video of automatic sun is the best one currently to react to. It’s very new so there isn’t a great live version to react to but that studio version with the live footage is well worth the watch. There’s a lot going on in the video.

@@TJandTheGringa Us older fans kind of expect the live recorded video to be even better, but is that really possible? The good thing with using live footage for their studio release was that it didn't cost that much since they were playing that gig anyway and that also allowed them to use some slow-motion parts for the studio release.
You will notice 3 - 4 drones moving above them in the song and the reason for that becomes obvious once you watch it.
They played this gig 4 days before the song was to be released and 2 - 3 days later there was a *REAL* Solar eclipse.

You will find a lot of times that your favorite Warning song is the last one you heard. The amazing thing about this song is it is from an excellent concept album that they did when they were 18, 16 and 13 years old.

Yeah. For Automatic Sun, the studio recording on the live performance works just fine. There is no other official video. There are so many songs to recommend, but for an energetic, fun hard rock song (and a vocal showcase), I recommend "Hell You Call a Dream" live (from their channel). And if you want to see a master class on drumming and singing, I highly recommend the song “23” from Teatro Metropolitan, also on their channel. Pau is so good at conveying emotion (even while drumming) it’s impossible not to feel the pain, vulnerability, isolation and desperation in her voice. Quite a power (Pau-er?) ballad.
Check out Queen of the Murder Scene or Choke from the same Teatro Metropolitan concert. The next Warning song you hear favorite! always be your new fav!❤❤❤

Automatic Sun is live footage, but with the studio audio overlayed. Having seen some fan cam videos of them performing this song live in Europe and Japan, they sound just as good, so I don't mind the studio audio.
They are so good live that they have done this in the past with their official video for their song Money and the audio engineer said that he basically dropped the studio audio over the video and made a few minute adjustments, and that what all he had to do.

Btw guys, if you like dark and gloomy, this song is the prologue song to Queen of The Murder Scene story which the ladies performed the entire album at Lunario CDMX 5 years ago. It is a concept album with four chapters that needs to be heard in the order the songs appear as it a story of a murderous Queen, betrayal, and of course murder. Dany (lead guitar) gets into full character as the Queen in the Lunario concert. It is simply another EPIC concert from the then "young' Ladies. Keep the Lunario concert for a gloomy day.😎😎😲 Great reaction from both of you.

Automatic Sun was filmed at the festival and released 5 days later to be out just before the actual eclipse. Because of that incredibly short turnaround decisions had to be made. Dani has a baritone neck on her guitar and has learned a few new things. Well worth reacting to.

Thes ladies have been rocking stages and studios for eleven years. 60+ songs, 15 official music videos, and touring with some of the best bands in the business have made them veterans of rock. Who writes a freaking ROCK NOVEL at 13-14? Pau started it, and her sisters helped turn it into reality in 2018. *Dust to Dust* is the prologue to that rock novel, their second album, *Queen of the Murder Scene.* The 2018 Lunario concert presents it completely, using a few songs from their first album as separators. The band has always released compelling music, so feel free to pick just about anything and it's worth your time. Each of their albums shows a notch of evolution, exploration, and maturation. But they're all great.
Love your podcast guys. You's showing big love to an extremely creative band who deserve all our respect. The Warning is thee rock band for today and in our future. Thankyou both.

Not only does Pau play drums (she got two awards last year for drumming), she sings, she has an iPad next to her that she uses to run the click track, run the light show, and start any backing track. I think she's as at least a quad processor in the beautiful head. Most of the early song ideas also came from her head. The entire idea of the second LP album came from Paul. That was the "Queen Of The Murder Scene" which is basically a music novella and amazing. All three ladies also play the piano and Ale and Dany both were in their school band playing a saxophone. Going back in time do the mini concert at the University of Nevada TedX from 2017. They are very young girls at this concert and this shows just how special and talented they really are. This is the "concert" that hooked me and a whole lot of other people.

Dany alway has great riffs. This is from their Queen of the Murder Scene (QOTMS) album. A full blown concept album they wrote as teenagers (except Ale who was pre-teen). Crazy!! And an awesome album.
Yes, Automatic Sun only has two official videos: The lyric video and the official video, which is studio audio over their first live performance of the song at the Tecate Pa'l Norte festival in their hometown of Monterrey, Mexico! The live video is AMAZING, that is the one watch!
Really enjoyed your reaction in that you let yourselves express what you were feeling about the music throughout. Not everyone does this! I say play more air guitar and sing the guitar harmonies and riffs and 'boof boof' the drums as much as you want. You can really see that the song makes you want to move and engage and if you didn't say anything at all that would be enough! The Automatic Sun that is official is the studio recording dubbed over live footage of a concert. There are a couple of fan cam versions of the same concert, but because of all the CO2 and flame cannons going off throughout, IMHO it was too noisy to use the live audio. So they opted to do it that way. It is a great video. You two have a lot to catch up on...but for now perhaps you should review all their new music from the upcoming album. S!ck, More, Hell You Call A Dream, Que Mas Quieres and Automatic Sun.

Since Jimmy speaks Spanish, I'd recommend Narcisista from Foro Didi. That was the debut performance and is my favorite version of the song. Everything from Teatro Metropolitan is great, but I'd start with Z, Animosity, Disciple, or Choke.

"Automatic Sun" from tecate pal norte is a must see video of that song, it's great. Certainly, it is their live performance but they decided to put the studio version to use it as an official video with good sound quality, but the truth is that if they had used the real audio of the performance very few differences would have been noticed. It is 100% recommended for that song, it's great.

Love your reactions to The Warning! You might want to check out their version of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" from this same concert. They were one of the bands invited by Metallica to do a "cover" of one of their songs for the "Blacklist" album.( 30th anniversary for Metallica's "Black" album) The Warning was tasked with Enter Sandman because of their viral cover they did when they were kids. They were told to do what ever they wanted with the song as long as they didn't change the lyrics. The result is a masterpiece! I think Metallica liked it, it is track #1 on the album! The OMV is great but for me, the performance from this concert is the best. Honestly, I don't think you'll be disappointed with anything you check out by them. Oh & they'll be performing on Jimmy Kimmel on June 27th!

Did you know that it´s Pau (the drummer) who write most of the songs and lyric on piano and then brings it too the two sisters and complete the songs with them.
there's a saying with this band "your favorite song is the last one that you've heard" so be prepared to have many more favorite songs.

This performance was pretty much my “introduction” to Pau, so I have a special place in my heart for it. This song is the prologue for their concept album, _Queen of the Murder Scene_, and while they perform a couple more songs from it in this concert, and there’s an older concert in their channel (the “Lunario” concert) which has the album played live in its entirety, I kind of wish that I could hear how they would play the whole album now, as opposed to when they released it several years ago.
But if you want to see Pau really go off, you should see “Narcisista,” from the same concert, where she actually comes out from behind the drum set for once. (Her drum teacher, who’s also one of their sound engineers, takes over for that one song.)

It is a concept album which tells the story of a girl going through unrequited love, obsesssion,stalking, murder, regret, psychosis and madness. The male voice you hear preaching about salvation is their manager Rudy. It is a story worth listening to. I love the live version at Lunario CDMX, not because its quality but because it was the first time they played the complete album live.
In addition to the desire for a short turnaround as mentioned earlier, it's been stated that the live audio was compromised by sounds of the pyro and fog jets as well as background bleeds from bands on other stages at the festival. I don't have the reference to hand but perhaps other members of TWA can confirm.
Dust to Dust is the opening song to the band's 2nd album, Queen of the Murder Scene. The album tells the story of a woman whose unrequited love sends her spiraling into obsession, murder, and madness. It was written by literal teenagers and stands shoulder to shoulder with concept albums like Tommy and The Wall.
The song itself is presented by the Queen's ghost & invites the listener to come to her funeral and hear her story.
Good live? Throw a dart at the Teatro Metropolitan set list. Or jump into the band's original presentation of Queen of the Murder Scene at Lunario CDMX. For more recent stuff, check the 3 songs they just did on Kimmel Live, or catch Hell You Call A Dream live at Pepsi Center CDMX.

Awesome that you checked out Dust to Dust as your 2nd song by The Warning!! This song was my first all-original The Warning song I heard, but an earlier performance -- I think it is one of The Warning's crown jewels. Automatic Sun is phenomenal - concert video with studio audio as others have said. Other awesome songs in the same vein that you may like are Dull Knives & Queen of the Murder Scene (title track of the album).
Yes, ‘Automatic Sun’ video is the official music video. There is no official live video yet. You’re safe, the “wrong video” crowd won’t haunt you for doing that OMV😂. Easiest route is just do Metropolitan theater from front to back. None of the ‘Keep Me Fed’ songs are there but all the highlights of their first 3 albums are there. ‘Dull Knives’ and ‘UGH’ are 2 others from the same album as ‘Dust to Dust’ that you will love.

You’ll see all the “do everything Metropolitan” comments but when you do ‘Breathe’ from Metropolitan they’ll all scream “wrong video!” “Should have done Pepsi Center fan-cam!”. If you like dark and moody you should try the concept album Queen of the Murder Scene, of which Dust to Dust is the first song. It's about a schizophrenic serial killer. Pau sings the lead characters part and Dany sings the part of the voice in her head. A live performance of the whole album is on RUclips.

The video of the festival you mentioned for Automatic Sun, studio audio with live pro-shot video is the one to watch. The Ladies decided to go with studio audio, as I understand, because the pyrotechnics used and the audio from the stage next to theirs would be hard to edit out. Trust me the video is worth your time for uhm.....reasons.

They did Automatic Sun live for the Jimmy Kimmel Live show even though the broadcast was for S!CK. You can find the recording of AS on the show's YT page. It has a more stripped down feel than the studio recording. If you'll look closely, Pau does not have her computer sitting next to her on the JKL videos. So what you are hearing is what the band sounds like when it is just the three of them playing without any backing tracks. It's impressive.
Dust to Dust is the intro song for the band's second album, Queen of the Murder Scene. They perform a couple of other tracks from that album in the setlist for The Teatro Metropolitan show (the title track QOTMS, and Dull Knives (Cut Better). You'll like the album because it is very dark. It's about a girl who is obsessed with a guy and she turns into a stalker before murdering the guy, and the rest of the album is about her descent into madness afterward and the toll it takes of her as she gradually splits into two personalities, one believing she is going to be the Queen of Hell. They performed the entire QOTMS ablbum a couple of times in live concerts of which I believe Lunario is the best in terms of sound and visuals. They also perform several of the tracks from their first album, XXI Century Blood, in the Lunario show.

The "Automatic Sun" video is live footage with the studio recording on top of it. They tried to make a live version, but they couldn't...extenuating circumstances. It's a very cool video.
