I saw them in Los Angeles back in 2022 and there were definitely other women there, but I would say it was more of a 75/25 male to female ratio. Then I just saw them in Boston in September, and we’re getting much closer to 50-50, which is amazing! And also a much more wide range of ages than in the past. I think because their initial classic hard rock genre was popular back you know in the 80s so a lot of their fans are in their 50 6070s. But I noticed that at the Boston show there were a lot of younger people there too, which is encouraging.
You have actually done a reaction to Paulina (the drummer) doing a cover of Creep. It was a long time ago. ruclips.net/video/Z7eXcDIjXo0/видео.htmlsi=yoVCWOzUBFgRdaj1
I strongly suggest you listen to 23 at Teatro Metropolitan (Pau was quite ill at Pepsi Center and had to drop the final high note). The Pepsi Center version has an interesting opening, but Pau's vocals were stronger at Metropolitan.
As one of the 8000 in that audience, I can tell you that yes, 100%, it was so awesome to be there live. They really are something on stage. The musicianship to top tier, but their showmanship is also up there with as good as I have seen in 45+ years of attending concerts. Good to see you again Charlie! Glad your wife is as taken by them as the rest of us fans.
Wonderful reaction! Please continue with the sisters! On December 22nd, 2022 at 10:38 am, my entire outlook changed. I saw the OMV for Choke. I jumped straight down the rabbit hole. Afterward my wife thought I was crazy/creepy/unstable. I was 66 at the time. Then, I was watching the Teatro (entire) concert in the home theater and didn't know she was standing behind me watching. She fell down the rabbit hole during 23 and let out a screech during Disciple then sat down to finish watching. Now she knows. Now she is as big of a fan as me. I even got an apology saying that she was sorry for not trusting me regarding music and that I wasn't creepy. 🙂 We planned a vacation around seeing them live a month ago. The more you know about the Villarreal Sisters and their entire team, the more you realize they are a once in a lifetime gift. I've been around a long time and have NEVER seen or heard anything like The Warning.⚡
Same. My wife saw a show because she "had to" for her niece. Midway through, her eyes were glazed over and she appeared to be in a trance. She suddenly wanted to go to a show just so she could watch them open.
Her vowels and enunciation are totally unique. She delivers a song like nobody I've ever heard. She has this crazy delivery that is insane. Such an engaging singer. You can hear it in her speaking voice as well.
This is what working for years with a vocal coach, performing hundreds of shows and touring with some of the bands with the best live vocalist, like Halestorm and Muse, culminates into. To see Dany at her best, react to Hell You Call A Dream from the same concert.
OK, OK, OK, Pau is the bee's knees, I agree. But...BUT in this reaction he is focusing on DANY. On Dany who is also the bee's knees. On Dany who is AMAZING, UNIQUE, GREAT, MAGNETIC, EXTREMELY TALENTED and deserves all admiration and recognition.
That’s exactly it especially the live version are just in your face power , impossible not to fall for them everytime. This band is the most addictive band I’ve ever seen 🤷♂️
The OMVs, albums, etc. are top notch, but seing The Warning live (on YT) and live in real takes you to another level. All are classical trained on piano, all can sing. Ale is a unicorn, but we are all waiting for her to embrace lead singing - she normally only does when one of her sisters is sick, but she is also a master of harmonies. Please, react more. Dany has always been good, but like Floor, she has trained and evolved sooo much vocally in the last years - and we haven't seen the last of it. Pau's voice reflects pure emotion.
I've gotten a chance to see them live twice - once opening for The Pretty Reckless and Halestorm (holy shit what a concert that was), and then the following year headlining at an absolutely tiny club - and both times they absolutely killed it. 100% rock stars, finally getting the attention they deserve and they're only going to keep getting bigger.
Best rock band on the planet. Their energy is always incredible regardless if they're playing to a room of 100 people or a stadium of 80,000. Although they do get a little more hyped in their home country. They also give 100% even when they're sick. Can't say enough wonderful things about these amazing young women.
@@mack1305 My understanding of it is because she has perfect pitch, she can hear her own mistakes, minor as they may be and, combined with her penchant for perfectionism, it makes her her own worst critic.
@@mack1305 It's a shame, because she has an absolutely gorgeous voice, low and sultry, which complements her sisters so well. If she ever decided to, I'm sure they could write a song just for her that would leave the audience breathless.
Dany reminds me of a female Ronnie James Dio with her range, charisma, gestures, and overall stage presence, all while playing the guitar!! All three sisters are fantastic in their own way and when they get together well, they are The Warning
Their performance of Revenant at Teatro metropolitan is awesome. Acoustic and mellow but great vocal layering and harmonies. Pau sings lead on that one.
I think it was Dany that said a while ago that when they were starting out they were very conscious of possible prejudice against them (3 young girls playing Rock music) so they practiced like crazy so their music/playing would sell itself and convert people. They turned their basement into a studio a long time ago and you can see now how much time they put in down there getting to this point. If you need to see more singing technique from Dany by herself, there are a few older videos of her singing whatever her fans suggest on the spot (titles are some variation of Dany sings). In one she explains her love of Broadway and how she "can't sing opera, but she can fake it" and demonstrates with Phantom of the Opera. For the next reaction, might be time to do a Pau-lead song. Dust to Dust/Dull Knives from this concert is amazing, but Narcisista might be interesting if you don't speak Spanish and are just looking at technique/style. Great insight!
Great reaction and analisys. At this point, I honestly think the world really "needs to discover" The Warning. Superb rock band and even better human beings, including family and team.
The great thing about the Warning is the technical proficiency in every aspect of their music. Of course being insanely talented helps! Their performances are pure ear (and eye) candy.
Great reaction. Saw them live 2x in 2022. They’re spectacular. Stage presence of lead is wonderful. The drummer steals the show and the baby sister on base is Super Model gorgeous. Blown away by their performance, especially by the Enter Sandman cover.
Great reaction, I loved it. They are all three musical prodigies or as their manager Rudy said when he watched them play for the first time (children back then): "They are a miracle"
After catching the end of the stream I was hoping this would be on RUclips, it’s a great detailed reaction / analysis of their performance, one of the very best I’ve seen. I’ve never really looked into the detail of Dany’s singing technique, I’ve always regarded her very highly but your description blew me away! I think it’s partly the reason why Fil from Wings of Pegasus is so keen on them, he appreciates good singers! Looking forward to the next time you visit The Warning, there’s a lot you’ve missed since you last reacted to them maybe but this is a reasonable example (but not the best) of their current repertoire; Hell you call a Dream or Automatic Sun are more representative of the new album, or if you like a video Qué Más Quieres or Six feet deep, both show great songs and some very clever videography.
Great reaction. Welcome to the club. The Warning have a knack to build bridges between young kids and rock oldtimers who grew up listening to Springsteen, Heart, and Led Zeppelin. 🤟 I love "Choke", and they completely smashed it out of this ballpark with this performance. However, the one song that will always be my top, the song that hooked me to TW, is "Animosity" in the 2022 Teatro Metropolitan live version. Catchy and earthy rock music with the most adorable lyrics. 🔥❤😀
Often, when mentally preparing for a performance, the wrap up is "now we trust the process". They have put in the work and its go time. Very talented, very professional.❤
My journey with The Warning from when I first heard them was, "Wow, they're young"... "Wow, they're sisters!".. "Wow, they can perform!"... Wow, they can play!"... "Wow, those vocals!".... it was like leaves on an artichoke. They just kept getting more impressive every time I heard them. What's most impressive to me now is that they're amazing songwriters and arrangers! They have a knack for creating hooks that's up there with the best of the best. "Choke" sounds like something David Foster could have written.
I've reacted to the Warning before, and I described Dany's voice as "playing darts and just hitting bullseyes every time". She just has amazing vocal abilities!
Less than 24 hours ago TW released the video of their recent studio session at SiriusXm. They did a cover of Alanis Morrisette’s song, “You Oughta Know.” If you want to see the power of Dany’s voice, have a listen. Other than their reimagined version of Enter Sandman ( done at Metallica’s invitation), it’s the first time they’ve played a cover in about 5 years.
Released it in full where? There's a video short of it on their page but the whole song appears to be a SiriusXM deal where you need a subscription. Maybe it will get posted some day but holy hell that short clip is epic.

My husband and I went to see Muse in Milton Keynes in 2023. They were being supported by The Warning and Royal Blood, both of which we'd never heard of. We came away wowed by The Warning, and spent the new few weeks just listening to all of their music on repeat and have been big fans ever since. Choke was my favourite song of theirs from the live gig. Muse was a bit of a nostalgia trip for me, as my taste is music has got progressively heavier since the days I listened to Muse in my early teens, so The Warning was right up my street.
Two of their songs I'd love to hear you react to: on 23 Pau sings wonderfully well while playing a sophisticated and complicated drum part and Hell You Call A Dream where Dany hits her highest note.
In case you haven't, you should check "Hell you call a dream" out, from that same concert. Dany's execution of that song showcases most of her singing abilities, it's mind blowing.
I love all three of them but Dany is my favorite. She has such a huge heart that you can see when she talks to anyone. She gets on the stage and just becomes a rock demon, like a different person entirely. All three of them have enormous stage presence. I hate even picking a favorite, but for me its Dany.
I have no favourite because I can't pick between them individually. I'd say they shine in various songs, and when they're the one stealing the limelight, then the others are just as good when it is their turn, though sometimes in a different song. It's the thing about them that is mad. They play to their strengths so freaking well.
Wait till you see Pau taking lead , 23 , dust to dust all from the Pepsi Centre ( going to spare you the tears for now , Black Holes and Breath ) Best rock band in the world 🤘🔥🔥🔥🇿🇦⚠️🤘
Pau, who does a lot of the songwriting, suggested changing the chorus to make it easier for Dany, but Dany insisted on keeping it as is. (In the Teatro Metropolitan performance of this song, which was also in Mexico City but a year earlier, you can hear her working harder to reach those high belts, but here she nails them every time.) Dany definitely has top-tier performance skills; not just the singing, but as you say, the stage presence, the facial expressions, everything. She’s probably the most naturally theatrical of the group; you can see it in their live performances of their _Queen of the Murder Scene_ rock opera, where she would do her best to become the main character on stage. (I’ve heard various comments about who her guitar idols are, but I suspect she’s been modeling her stage skills on performance artists like David Bowie and Peter Gabriel.)
Dany is the best singer in rock music right now. Her live performance skills are off the charts. As you say, her technique is flawless. Plus, she has tons of charisma.
If you want to hear Ale sing the higher register with her sisters, I recommend Sinister Smiles from Lunario. She sings the high notes from the chorus, and I believe the lowest parts of the phrase "break apart"
Two of my favorite concerts: Nightwish at Wacken 2013 and The Warning at Pepsi Center CDMX (hoping they will come out with the entire concert besides each song separately). Just saying. 'Twill be fun watching you go down TW rabbit hole.
Well thats Pandora’s box well and truly open……………… The thing that new reactors forget when being blown away by the warnings technical skills is that despite their very young age they have been performing regularly for over 10 years and they have been managed extremely well by the family to let them work with and alongside some brilliant artists from whom they have absorbed masses like musical sponges. The most recent tour with their hero’s MUSE another 3 piece band and the two piece band Royal Blood is very visible in their subsequent album ‘Keep me fed’ as they have learned a whole bunch of new techniques to enlarge the soundscape that they can produce as a three piece and some performance ideas as well. They are already brilliant at what they do but they are by their own admission still learning and with that attitude and the right support there is no limit to what they can achieve.
Ale is a great singer too but has no desire to sing lead. However, she does sing lead occasionally when Dany's voice needs rest or if Dany has a cold, but only a couple of songs she's comfortable with. Ɓut she is one of my favorite bacķ vocalists though.
Excellent reaction! You also have to keep in Mind these 3 sisters are Mexican singing in their non native language that is impressive in its self! Talent at the highest Level!! 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
That surgical precision you're referring to is literally EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. They're exceptional individuals and together they become next next next level. It's crazy how good they are together.
Excellent reaction Charlie... maybe, they could be your 3 angels!... my friend, I recomend to you to react some videos of them performing in acoustic mode, songs like Red hands never fade, Sinister smiles, etc.
The Warning!!! YEEEESSSSS! You have to watch Paulina (drummer) sing while she is playing drums... or while she is playing piano... or while she just sings. PS: I know you did, I just need more. LOL.
Loved this vocal breakdown! Just subbed for more Warning reactions ❤ you would love Hell You Call A Dream and Dust To Dust/Dull Knives from this same performance at the Pepsi Center!
Great reaction and analysis, subbed. The more you hear them, and the more of their story you learn, the more it seems like they're the overpowered main character in an anime; except they're real.
13:57 "drown" contains [aʊ] as in Pau. The "pure vowel" is a soft o like in "bronze". Say "bronze" as normal except add a "w" consonant after the "o" and you get "browns". If you remove the "w" from "drown" then you create "dron".
The word is "drown". Dany has always been a great singer but the last year or so she has been working with a vocal coach. She has better breath control and quality grit. Paulina is a phenomenal singer as well. A bit smoother and angelic. To be that good and still be the second best singer of the band....... You can get a clearer sound from her voice from the Metropolitan show because you dont hear the crowd. ruclips.net/video/MMtuwMLGm-I/видео.html
One additional note about Paulina. She practices her singing while running on a treadmill to train her breathing technique and maintain that insane ability to sing and drum at the same time. If you want to see that put into practice, you should check out Dust To Dust and Evolve.
Charlie, congratulations it seems that you have been “Warned” over, and you have only scratched the surface of their genius, they have taken rock to a higher level ! Check out their song “Survive” where Dany n Pau exchange lead vocals. It will rock you !
Joan Chamorro, who runs a young peoples' jazz big band in Barcelona with kids as young as 8, is insistent that every instrument player also learn not just how to sing but how to front the orchestra as a lead vocalist. As a result he's uncovered a lot of vocal talent from kids who didn't even consider themselves to be singers. Lots of videos on RUclips. Look up "Sant Andreu Jazz Band" if you're interested. Check out brilliant young talent like Andrea Motis, Rita Payés, Magalí Datzira...
You should check The Psychology of Rock and the Charismatic Voice...two other creators with interesting perspectives. You probably already do, if you follow Phil.

(In the Teatro Metropolitan performance of this song, which was also in Mexico City but a year earlier, you can hear her working harder to reach those high belts, but here she nails them every time.)
Dany definitely has top-tier performance skills; not just the singing, but as you say, the stage presence, the facial expressions, everything.
Interesting analysis as always. Thank you.
Just can’t get enough of these rock stars. So good. 🤟🏼🎸🥁🎸🤟🏼
Awesome reaction, man, and I like your breakdown of the vocal's technique was really in-depth 👍
7:21 yes, they have that effect on me, too 😂
They will be as big as The Rolling Stones ….
I was thinking METALLICA
Great reaction! Thank you! Sus espectáculos en vivo son superiores.
Dany is the best singer in rock music right now. Her live performance skills are off the charts. As you say, her technique is flawless. Plus, she has tons of charisma.
Thanks for the technical analysis -- very, very interesting
If you want to hear Ale sing the higher register with her sisters, I recommend Sinister Smiles from Lunario. She sings the high notes from the chorus, and I believe the lowest parts of the phrase "break apart"
Sick, I’d love to hear them all sing together that would be awesome.
@CharlieCalottaReacts I believe you did an acoustic performance a few years ago, this would be a concert performance 🤘
If The Warning ever decides to explore their blues roots, Ale has the perfect voice.
This was an awesome one!!
Two of my favorite concerts: Nightwish at Wacken 2013 and The Warning at Pepsi Center CDMX (hoping they will come out with the entire concert besides each song separately). Just saying. 'Twill be fun watching you go down TW rabbit hole.
Fantastic reaction!! They are soooo good!
He's reacted to them before, the acoustic Sinister Smiles and Pau's cover of Creep. Go search his videos, both were excellent.
Ale is a great singer too but has no desire to sing lead. However, she does sing lead occasionally when Dany's voice needs rest or if Dany has a cold, but only a couple of songs she's comfortable with. Ɓut she is one of my favorite bacķ vocalists though.
Ale singing is the unicorn. ❤❤
LOL.
You are in for a wild ride my friend!
SEASONED professionals, and Ale is 19. 😐 Literally, 11 years professional. Amazing!
🕊 ✨ The Warning ✨🕊
She's singing drown. The Warning have always been just brilliant!
Queens of Rock. Great reaction. These ladies are awesome.
Idea: you need to show this to Nicole Maria. Return the favor for her introducing Ren to you.
I concur
Definitely!
100%
Great reaction! I'd love to see you do more of The Warnings live performances.
Tres grandes instrumentistas y maestras de la composición ,su rock adictivo y duro y sus riffs mágicos ,The Warning marcan diferencia
If you first saw this with the official video, you’d know it was drown!
Haha I got there eventually
13:57 "drown" contains [aʊ] as in Pau. The "pure vowel" is a soft o like in "bronze". Say "bronze" as normal except add a "w" consonant after the "o" and you get "browns". If you remove the "w" from "drown" then you create "dron".
Welcome to The Warning . . Have subbed for more from these amazing sisters . .
Till next time take care .
Bye from New Zealand👋🇳🇿👍twa
Awesome reaction. Subscribed. ETA: And watched it twice
Excellent reaction. Learned something new. Thank you for your reaction. TWA🤘⚡🤘
It’s funny because Dany and Pau have said that Ale’ is the most talented of the three lol I think they are all great
One additional note about Paulina. She practices her singing while running on a treadmill to train her breathing technique and maintain that insane ability to sing and drum at the same time. If you want to see that put into practice, you should check out Dust To Dust and Evolve.
Next check out "Hell You Call a Dream" LIVE for an out of this world vocal performance!!
The Warning!! 🔥 🤘
great vid man. subbed and liked for more of the warning.
I liked your analysis
Charlie, congratulations it seems that you have been “Warned” over, and you have only scratched the surface of their genius, they have taken rock to a higher level ! Check out their song “Survive” where Dany n Pau exchange lead vocals. It will rock you !
I really appreciate your comments!
Chamorro, that's interesting. That's what the native people of the island of Guam are
This is the first time I've seen your reaction channel. I am impressed! You remind me of another must see reactor, @PhilZero. Subscribed for more!
You should check The Psychology of Rock and the Charismatic Voice...two other creators with interesting perspectives.
You probably already do, if you follow Phil.
I just subscribed in hopes of more from The Warning. I'm going to check out your Twitch too.
