Heads up, we will watch *ANYTHING* you care to react to about DPA. That’s axiomatic! Here’s a partial list of good interviews and documentaries. Personally, I’d do them in the order listed. The Hagendorf interviews are fantastic but a bit long, just saying. Tidal Rising Mayday in the Making X Anniversary Truth or Drink Allison Hagendorf 2023 Allison Hagendorf 2024
If he wants to look into something when the band was still independent, I would suggest watching The Warning's two TedX presentations. The first was in 2016 and another in 2017.
Keep pushing for your dreams man! You mentioned you want to watch some interviews of The Warning, I recommend you their TEDx talks when they were young, they have 2 and they are all about inspiration and follow dreams. Their second talk is IMO better but both worth 100%, specially as musician.
She’s their secret weapon, no doubt. And not just due to her bass playing. She’s the grounded emotional rock and protector for her high flying older sisters.
There is a lifetime of The Warning video on their channel. Check out the songs from The Pepsi Center (Tenth Anniversary of The Warning show). That was a year ago next week, and they are releasing the full concert video soon. There are 23 outrageously, otherworldly performances from that concert. They were coming off bouts of the flu, singing at 7350 feet above sea level, in front of 8000 people in a sold out arena. The audience was absolutely rabid! It was quite obviously a magical evening, and I wish I had been there.
An EP in 2015. Four albums released in 2017, 2018, 2022, and 2024. Do the math. They are now 24, 22, and 19! These ladies ROCK. They put their lives on RUclips and Instagram. Watch the Pepsi Center Tenth Anniversary show clips. WOW!!!
The Warning draw strength and power from a lifetime of sisterhood and music. They've logged thousands of miles on the road, generated hundreds of millions of streams, and left countless fans in awe. All of this tireless work and dedication has shaped and honed their sound with razor-sharp precision, infusing alternative anthems with universally catchy hooks and an uncompromising hard rock kick. An Absolute Bombardment (Pau) of Thunder (Ale) and Lightning (Dany), That's The WARNING!!!! Or, Pau is the creative engine, Dany is the fuel and Ale is the steering wheel. ⚡Viva The WARNING⚡ NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
The Warning girls are certainly inspirational to other people , whether in terms of music or life in general .They are the blue print in how to succeed in terms of a musical career !
I love to see professionals talk about the technical details of their songwriting, so cool to learn something about how this outwardly simple stuff is sophisticated and cool. Thanks!
This was the first single off of their 4th album, Keep Me Fed. It was released on May 18, 2023, more than13 months before the album came out. It charted as high as #36 on the Billboard US Mainstream Rock charts.
They opened their MTV VMAs presentation with this one and then they rocked everyone with a fantastic rendition of "Evolve". That "Evolve" MVAs presentation is a must watch, you'll love it.
after 7yrs i still get surprised with their music and i knew they where going places. Freeze The Fall is a new band you need to watch and supported by some of us TWA. They would love it if you reacted to Daughters Of Witches. be good to one another and ROCK ON !!
Love, and appreciate your insight and reaction! You hear things quickly. Your observations are “spot on, and music driven.” Glad your tour was successful. Keep Rockin ! 🤘🕊❤️🤘 ⚡️⚡️⚡️ ✨
Hope your tour has brought more fans to your band. Thanks for thoughts on this song. Life like this, hard work, hard work, talent and a bit of luck. You can’t really know when the big break comes about. You got to be ready when it happens tho.
Keep up the great reaction analysis! Pointing out the musical technique of The Warning makes everyone smarter when we listen to music. Yea, the average music fan "Feels" the grove, the beat, the harmonies, the drums, the bass, etc. But in the end, we need to understand "Why?". What is this band doing during the song that makes us like them so much? Where have I heard this before? Oh, it sounds like... These are questions we ask afterwards. And it then helps us to understand and appreciate other music, like City of Sound. Keep the Faith and press on with your journey!
Great to see you again.. The Warning superpower is performing live.. Let's watch. A documentary called Atlas Rise.. the history of The Warning or Mayday in the making. It's 6 short videos about the girls.. try Evolve live at the MTV VMA'S 2023 or a new song.. SHARKS OFFICIAL LYRICS VIDEO IT'S BRILLIANT 🦈🦈🦈🦈💥🤯
I think you mean the doc called Tidal Rising (put together by the music network Tidal). It is a great short doc in their own words, 20 minutes and very much worth every minute.
Super reaction! Really appreciate your breakdown of their songwriting, interesting and educational all in one. Since you like a good bass line - check out UGH at Teatro Metropolitan show, you will love it. See you in the next one.
My favorite live performance of this song “More” and then “Evolve” are from the MTV VMA awards show. The girls knew it was important and they really went all out for these. Also the camera work on these performances was fantastic. Keep up the Pepsi center stuff. Every single song is the best! Although IMHO Enter Sandman was really better at Teatro Metropolitan, also a fantastic concert.
The tide could change soon because this North American tour have been all sold out and they been to a few festivals and they are still doing Canada. They have the Latin Grammys in Novemeber that could haver them win a grammy and they are playing in UK MTV and are actually gonna perform that night unlike the AMerican VMA where they pre recorded to show at the VMA.
I would love for y'all to open for The Warning. It would bring them full circle. Take advantage of everything good you get offered, but stay true to yourselves. ❤️⚡🤘
Absolutely check out Freeze The Fall. They have a familiar hard rock sound, and still sound fresh and new at the same time. Daughters Of Witches OMV if you want your face melted. Warning inspired, the singer Quinn discovered The Warning when she was 11, and taught herself guitar by learning Dany's parts from Queen Of The Murder Scene. After dropping a cover of Evolve they were adopted by The Warning Army.
Great reaction and great comments as well J. We affectionally call the cow bell, the "Pau Bell" for future reference. You really need to see some of the Vlogs, Documentaries or BTW videos...they post everything for their fans. Not only are the quite brilliant they are funny as hell....Sister chaos...nothing like it.
First time to the channel as I work through about 50 reaction videos to the Warning, who I only got into a few weeks ago. Great review. Liked and subbed.
As others have said, Tedx 2017 is always an excellent choice. They actually had a ted talk in 2016 as well (it was so well received they were invited back!) and watching both is interesting, if nothing else to see the growth in all three over 1 year. But if time is a concern, the 2017 is absolutely worth watching. If you want a long-form interview, they have done 2 with Allison Hagendorff (2023 and 2024) and I think they are the absolute best for getting to know the band as a whole and as individuals. There's also a shorter interview/game they did with The Cut that's interesting. There's also a lot of old lives they have done such as Dany singing songs on the spot as people request them, or each of them (attempting) to teach one of the others their instrument (Ale teaching Dany how to play 'Z' on the bass was by far the most successful). ps: Still enjoying your song at the end there, bit of an odd thought popped into my head this time, that it almost had a Gowan-feel to it.
If you want some insight into the history of the band, watch The Tidal Rising documentary. It’s them explaining how the band began. It’s 20 minutes long but provides a lot of insight into the band up to 2021.
Also try both of the Alison Hagendorf interview this one is from this past year (ruclips.net/video/695Oq7DHUjU/видео.html) but there's an older one also.

@@tomcanfield705 I am sure it would be more technically masterful, but I lament ( pun intended) the passion would be curtailed. Maybe if it had been done at the Pepsi Centre when they were firing on more than all cyl. ( the show was turned to 11 like the Lunario concert)
I get later 90's No Doubt/Gwen Stefani vibes my self, but that's what's so great about them is that they sound like stuff we grew up with but it's fresh at the same time.
