By that time their upcoming EP was already in the bag. So if the band heard it and said “let’s do this” it wouldn’t surface for some time anyway. One thing it made me realise is why she contributes such a large proportion of the songs in their catalogue….her keyboard skills. Watching her use her hands to compose at concert pianist level, on the fly, while having the guitar to hand at the same time to compare and contrast was awe inspiring. Asami composes on the piano, but needs Mao to be her Miyako.

LOVEBITES has several examples of their songs appearing on their Albums several years after they were recorded in the studio. For example, the song 'Dancing with the Devil' was recorded in 2018. Initially, LOVEBITES planned to include it in the 'Clockwork Immortality' Album. But, the ladies decided that 'Dancing with the Devil' was not thematically suitable for this Album. And 'Dancing with the Devil' appeared only in 2020, on the Album 'Electric Pentagram'. The song 'Soldier Stands Solitarily' was ready in 2020. It was intended for the EP 'Glory, Glory, to the World'. But, 'Soldier Stands Solitarily' appeared in 2023 on the Album 'Judgement Day'. An interesting story happened with the song 'Signs of Deliverance'. The song was already ready at the beginning of 2018. The ladies performed it at concerts in 2019, but it was not included in the 2018 releases (EP 'Battle Against Damnation' and Album 'Clockwork Immortality'). 'Signs of Deliverance' appeared on the Album only in 2020. Ect. Miyako posted three videos of her work on this melody in May and June 2024. Perhaps Asami will write lyrics for this melody and this song will appear on one of the next LOVEBITES Albums. Let's hope that this melody of Miyako will turn into a full-fledged song.😊

I wonder what Mozart, Bach, Beethoven would have come up with if they had this technology. Not just being able to put down on paper what you're hearing in your head for each instrument, but being able to play it back immediately to see if all parts work together seamlessly. Made me laugh when she said she couldn't play a part on guitar....yet. What a great way to push yourself to improve by writing something you know you can't play. I think it's hilarious when Miyako complains about the solo parts being rough, when the product would make many 'normal' musicians very happy 😀 She seems to hold herself to an impossibly high standard. And to watch it with Jimmy, another musician, is really great as we music appreciators don't always realize how damn hard it is to create that stuff that we fill our ears with. Thank you!
Happy New Year. It's great to watch genius at work. Where some musicains would say thats good Miyako will go back and say its not good, doesn't fit and kays down an even better part. I can see why Miyako apologised to Haruna but she sees it as a challenge.
