Good to see Air India flying experience improved !!
It surely has!
First salute the Science & Technology that made this marvelous aircraft and the team behind the flight operation...❤
Beautiful flight, butter landing!
Mumbai Airport was beautiful, the insane thing is how theres a line to get in and you can't go back out once you head in!
Like The cabin, Great video ❤
The food looked yum. Great job Air India.
Very nice trip report... especially the Mumbai take off wing and engine shots / scenes... thanks for sharing...!!
Thank you for watching, I'm glad you liked it!
@@geeksaviation you're welcome....
Interesting that they use ex Delta aircrafts, the thumbnail had me questioning the video title lol
no they don't use ex-Delta aircrafts . . .
These are not ex-Delta but short term arrangements between Delta and AI because most carriers cannot fly over Russian airspace, AI being an exception. They will revert back to Delta once the Russian-Ukraine war ends. And fares will come down to reasonable levels too.
@@VSV659delta have retired this 777 long time ago and have been sold to different lessor so air india didi agreement with the lessors not with delta so they can use it because they have good interior and has Ntg to do with delta or Ukraine war
@@chandrachurniyogi8394they use 5 ex delta 777-200lr
They leased out ex-Delta, Etihad and Singapore(yet to be inducted) aircrafts, particularly the B777s’ until they complete retrofitting their legacy 777s’ with fresh new cabins and until A350 backlog gets delivered, so yeah these leased birds won’t stay long here 🕊
Thanks for the review. I was checking out United Airlines economy because this was expensive but then we had a good deal and the seats are perfect! Was looking for this cuz my dad told me to lol 🤭
Great one 👌 Subscribed!
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed our content
Nice coverage
Thank you Pritam! Don’t forget to subscribe for more content!
Nice video! I traveled between Newark and Bombay many years back in 2010 with Continental Airlines. Looks like you had a much nicer experience with the new Air India. Keep up the nice work!
Thank you so much for the kind words! Thanks for watching 😄
Great video! These seats look exactly like Delta One.
Thank you! The aircraft was an ex-Delta aircraft which is currently on lease by Air India, therefore the seats are the same
yes it is delta

Nice video
Thank you for watching!
Nice video - Air india getting better by every passing day
Thank you for watching! Definitely an improvement from the old Air India
did they give there flights for interior remodelling?
@Aviation Geeks Seriously, some of the nicest looking airports are in India. Full transparency: Indian w. 93+ country (various) airports experience
Very nice
Thanks for watching!
I recently booked this flight. On the seat map, air India advertises row 1 as having extra legroom, but I’d prefer to be in a row closer to the window (which are the even numbers). Does anyone know if row 1 does in fact have more space?
Call me impress. That looks a real solid bus. product. A competitive one indeed. The food looks great. Finally AI trying to regain its former glory. Now I hope the regional bus. class in A320s will improve as well.
Air India is definitely going to be competitive product, especially with the introduction of their A350s
Pretty good job by you, thank you.
I'm glad to see AI getting better ~
👍👍👍
Thank you for watching!
I am booked London Heathrow to Delhi business class Air India on 112. Is it a new business class?
Business class flight ticket price pls in Indian currency
Spent so much money but how about seat occupacy ? And what measures have taken to fulfil the gap if any ?
Looks like the interior has been overhauled - good to see.
Don’t think so - looks like a Delta One cabin.
@@pacmanc8103 even the colour scheme?
@@malpalmer3269 Yes. Blue and red.
@@pacmanc8103 so they didn’t really do much - just the soft product mainly. But still an improvement from what it was
@@malpalmer3269 I think Air India is making great strides in a short amount of time. I’d fly them to India for sure - at least from the US.
I read that Air India is getting better than the old one; it probably does. But the real question is: how does it compare with its competitors like Emirates and Qatar? I will still not take AI because it has old equipment, mediocre food, and runs late most of the time.
Are you sure they are not aircraft manufactured for aeroflot but sold to air India ?
How much is the price?
Central Government don't allow carriers to have inflight WiFi due to perceived security reason and so the same reason won't find WiFi on Indian carriers.
Wifi is serious issue on longer routes..
1) Was Wifi available? 2) The suite looks smaller than standard suites in other airlines (BA, Qatar, AA etc). True?
it is half the price also
plz consider that
I have a question: How does anyone know whether their plane has the new branding? Love your video by the way, no unnecessary talking or music blaring. One little tip to make it perfect for me. It would be great if you could tell us what the food is you are being served.
Hey there! Thank you so much for the feedback, will definitely take it into consideration while editing the next video. They’re still using their old branding and amenities inside the aircraft and will begin rolling it out mid-2024 on long haul flights.
@@geeksaviation Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Very much appreciated. Have subscribed, :)
Of course! Thank you for taking the time to watch our content!
The flight from jfk to Mumbai has been changed for sure right ? I’m planning to book and I need confirmation 😂 I don’t want their old interiors
Yes! Almost all the JFK bound flights from Mumbai are on their Delta leased 777s
I didn't know that the distance from Mumbai to NY is 11 mins.
Great video! The TUMI amenity kits look amazing. BTW what was that noise @5:22 as you were over Juhu Beach?!
Thank you! Were you referring to the change in sound from the engine?
I didn’t hear a noise other than the engines throttling back.
I thought it's Delta Air Lines business class
Delta interior
Only 1 full meal for a 16hr flight?
They also have a breakfast service, however I chose to skip that
The only thing I liked was the Tumi pajamas! The colors of the seats, golden pillow, etc., are too garish.
I have heard AI does not have good food service but to have a small snack and dinner on a 16 hr flight will not get my business!
Hey there! I didn’t mention it but there was another full meal service (Breakfast) which I skipped, you can see it in the menu (7:55)
Business class seat turns into bed?
Yes, the seat reclines flat
Air India is seeing huge changes and improvements. Earlier widespread nepotism and corruption resulted in Air India generating almost no revenue from business class and 1st class. Most of the passengers in these cabins were politically connected, senior government officials or people with connections who booked economy class and travelled in business or first class.
After the privatization these cabins are 90% occupied by paying customers. However my sources and data analysis indicate that Air India is loosing about 10% to legacy nepotism and corruption by legacy staff. I expect this to come down significantly as the Air India is focusing on these losses.
Business class is totally empty ???I guess much competition in aviation sector…being Malayali we prefer Middle East route always..Maiami..Dubai or Doha..TVM..sorry Air India..no chance.
The cabin was actually full, I just boarded early.
