Obviously this dog is very aggressive, but is this based on fear aggression? The reason I asked is because I don't really know the difference. Please don't think I'm stupid people, I just hear that term "fear aggression" being used quite often but what does that look like? When/how do you know it's fear aggression and when they are just being aggressive?
Major props to the owner for putting in the hard work, Squatch is definitely showing progress. I’m looking forward to what’s coming next, well done, Dog Daddy. Squatch is a true representation of the tenacity and fierce loyal heart of the Tibetan Mastiff breed.
100% Facts! Squatch is doing the 'right' thing according to his breed and I'm relieved to find his owner is now doing the right thing by following through.
"Ditto" could not have said it better That dog was truly a magnificent, and fierce opponent for man and beast. He (the king of any mastiff I've ever seen) did give Dod Daddy a work out an made him think real fast about handling this massive, georgious representative of the Mastiff breed. I have seen the largest breed on the net that r double the mass of this one in the vid! Good job well done on the progress up till now. Probably the best ever vid proving the skills that DogDaddy has, and I know he will get the job done. But I also think DogDaddy is amazing with any animals 100%! He will reach the goal Ide bet my last dallor on that!! He has a fantastic sense of understanding and the gift of, "talking dog" which I have been doing for sometime now for many moons and not intentionally it just
TM's are a different kind of animal . you have to treat them with patience and respect ..they require socialization from day one , or you end up with this situation ...
I would have loved to see some more training in this session. This is the most intense dog I've ever seen being trained by anyone, let alone you. I do see a lot of progress. The owner has more control of him. This is amazing.
😂😂 At first I was like "what a weird comment to leave" Then when I watched all the way through I was like "ohhhh I see what yo mean" Hahahaha that plywood was a shield for sure.
He sure is a handful. God bless you Dog Daddy for all you do for these dogs 🐕. Can't wait to see what happens next when you are with him. I'm so proud of you bravo 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Well done dog daddy I have to say my heart stops each time I watch the third session at how relentless the big boy is at wanting to get to you . You are such a great teacher and very patient with each dog you help. Thank you for your service and expertise we need trainers like you 💜
This dog is a challenge NO OTHER TRAINER could handle. Period. Even Augusto's magic touch is put to the test with this beautiful beast. God bless you for trying to make their lives better, even at your own peril.
Dog Daddy you are amazing. Your patience, insight, and focus on what needs to be done and then not giving up is so admirable. I am looking forward to however many videos it takes to turn Squatch into an obedient dog. ❤🎉
It looked like 'Dog Daddy the Lion Tamer' with you & the steel chair!😂! Great idea though! I really hope to see another video of you with this agressive monster under control! - Or even 2 more videos! - Whatever it takes. This dog, without proper training, is a danger to his owners, let alone anyone else!
I like the series. It shows that it's not enough to just show the dog what to do and then he'll do it. It means investing many hours and days in training. The bigger the dog, the more important it is. Because you have responsibility for the dog. Great work.
You are amazing. Hope you get good rest after your sessions with him... and of course do be careful, @TheDogDaddyofficial. May God give you wisdom in handling him always & may He protect you. Lotsa hugs to you.
I am commending you Dog Daddy because, I would have given up and cried. I am so proud to know you’re here to save the HARDEST DOGS 🐕 Bravo thank you for being here and helping me❤
I love watching the progression. You really have a handle on how to do this. It's not about making Squatch like everybody, but rather be social and polite while around others. Amazing job!
Wow, Augusto that dog is no joke! Bravo again, my friend I can’t believe that the dog was actually trying to bite his owner while walking, then succeeded 😱… keep shining 🫶
These dogs are livestock guardian dogs they were never ment to be couch potatoes!!! They are meant to never give up ! I wish people would do research before buying a dog. You did great with him.
I think the owner mentioned that he was on a waiting list for this particular dog for the purpose of guarding his avocado fields because people are robbing him of his avocados. He may not be using him to guard livestock, but I believe he knew what he was getting. This dog is way more aggressive than what is typical for his breed.
I like how he recognized the typical behaviour for the breed. He takes that into account (at least here it seems) which is an important factor too often overlooked.
"get a powerful stubborn dog!" They say. "It'll be fine!" They said. Poor pup! Good job DD. I'd like to know how much time you spent on him. Some dog trainers don't have the patience to do this, nor the energy. I applaud. 👏👏👏🎉🎉
I just got done watching all 4 parts and my thought throughout was, "What would Zak George, do?". 😄 I hope you never stop helping the dogs who are the tough ones, the ones that would be put down if they hadn't met you, Augusto. God's Grace and Blessings to you.
HAHA, I thought the same way…😂😂” What would Zak George (with creepy eyes) do? “ He might get bitten or scared away 🫥💨and 🗣️ would yell “put him down”. That would be so terribly sad and painful for dog owners. KUDOS to this dog owner 🙌🏼 👏🏼 They will get rewarded with blessings 🙌🏼because they care about their pet. DD is truly Godsend to help the owners and their beloved pet. 🙏🏼♥️🤟🏼💙🫶🏼
I think it's great progress considering his behavior in the beginning. In session 4, DD still looks tasty to him though.... Lots of side eyes still there. Looking fwd to seeing session 5
I am so impressed with this family dedicated to training their lion🦁of a doggo! I hope things are still going well. Thanks to Dog Daddy for literally putting his life on the line to help. Yay🥑Farmers! Yay Dog Lovers/Owners/Trainers! 🐕🦺🥰💚
We need a Squatch update! This was absolutely riveting to watch...well done Dog Daddy and major props to the owner and to Squatch himself. Love to see how he's doing now
Man working breeds are a whole other beast. Literally with squatch here lol. My cattle dog is only 60lbs and when she wants to get to something she WANTS IT. Shes 16 months old now and I've worked hard to keep her herding instincts in check and redirected. She has nipped a few strangers, but that hasnt happened since she was under 1 yo. I couldnt imagine a working guardian dog. Dog daddy for the win once again. Hopefully someday i can afford to do a session with him.
I had a dog like this. She was so amazing to my husband and myself. She hated everyone. She bit anyone who would come into the house if she was not separated. Squatch is a working dog. Hes got some very strong instincts and they aren’t bad. I give dog daddy major props. Pretty sure that dog outweighs him and totally could get him even with a muzzle.
For anyone reading this: I know that dog training can be difficult sometimes, but you're doing great. Keep up the good work, and your dog (and your own sanity) will thank you for it! ❤️💕
I am so amazed and proud of you for never giving up on Squatch!!! I hope that you continue to meet with them and continue to make progress even if it takes a long time!
Their major role is as guard, dogs and protectors so how he’s acting makes sense but hot damn so glad he was brought on her control. He was gonna give himself a coronary.
Hi Dog Daddy, You are doing amazing job with Squish and his owners. He doing a lot better since the beginning. Keep up the amazing job. Thank you for sharing and helping him and his family. Can't wait what is next with Squish, his family and you training him. Thank for saving and giving him a second chance to have a better happy loving control life with his family .sending love and prayers 💗🙏🏻🕊❤⚘
Id like to see the positive reinforcement trainers get their little bag of treats out and train this beast 😂 You need nerves of steel. Theres not many people that would stand up and train this confused boy thats for sure. Dog daddy the bravest of them all!
Absolutely amazing that you would want to.take time to help with this very dangerous dog. Thank you for caring really stay safe we don't want to lose you. Thank you for the video.
1 piece of advice for the owner, around 6:30min he turns with the dog & is looking at him head down - change that to leading the walk looking up & shoulders back it will make a big improvement
Well done for teaching the owner...hopefully that dog starts to have some sort of better life by being around people and not being sooooo stressed. Well done on your training it's really proper impressive 👏!
He's made his mind up. Eternity is a short wait. Dog Daddy you've got to think out of the box with this guy. First thing I'd do, Your Coming Home With Me. Hugs and Smiles
I've been waiting to see the next instalment! So glad you have the patience to keep working with this dog and not give up on him and the owners. I'm sure the owners appreciate your work work here! Squatch literally looks like a lion from some angles! That shaggy ruff looks like a mane!
Your dedication and commitment to your clients is off the charts amazing. I am in awe of Your strength. U R THE BEST OF THE BEST OUT THERE. This is one dog I’m never going to forget nevermind you much love DD from the uk
We had a boerboel and it was the best dog ever. But he would not listen to strangers. And nobody could come in the home when we were not at home. The best dog ever. But not a dog that I could trust with everyone. Only with me and my son.
This is a dog that needs to be trained at a young age The owner waited too long to begin training. God bless you dog daddy for working with him and teaching the owner how to train him.
I believe that those who buy such dogs have to understand something about dogs, have a license or at least do this type of training from when they are puppies and not when they are already so big. Especially for breeds such as Tibetan mastiffs. Thank you for trying to help, Augusto!
What a difficult dog but you really have done a great job! He is such a challenge but I am thankful you don't give up and the owner does his homework! Beautiful team work! Can't wait for his next session!
Wow that's a tough gig, he's a giant strong beast of a dog. I mean beast in a positive way. Well done Dog Daddy for not giving up and I can not wait to see more from this particular dog. I watched all 3 previous sessions and can see the difference already.
Yes, seems like a good challenge and a red case that is special. What works for some dogs doesn't work for others and taking different approaches sometimes gets through to them. Patience and waiting the dog to process what you want.....dog is reacting to sight what he sees.....have to exercise calmness and less tension....building some trust.... persistence and time and patience will work....but man you will learn a lot of this guy definitely a special boy.
I went to Tibet 2 summers ago and let me tell you. These Tibetan Mastiffs are huge! There’s so many of them running around wild in the streets and out in the mountains. A few of them walked right past me and they’re incredibly massive!
TM’s are amazing! For thousands of years they were secluded in the high plains of the Himalayas. 14,000 ft! Rarified air! Temps in the negative 30’s! Blizzards! They fought snow leopards and wolves protecting their nomadic families and livestock! As dog daddy mentioned several times, they are definitely a different breed to connect with and establish dominance over! With my TM I have dominance, but it’s as if it had been granted not because of the training as much as the way she taught me to earn her trust.
D.D. You have done such a good job with Squash! This dog has definitely pushed his limits to the max but how could you ever trust that dog again?? Especially around children. Unfortunately not every dog can be fixed.
You guys have guts and are relentless with helping these out of control dogs. This boy is so big and so out of control i don't know how you kept trying to help him for so long without giving up. I was scared for you just by watching the video. I sometimes wonder how this boy got so bad to start with. Was he always with this owner or was he abused? What would make a dog react like this to start with?
You can put your dog on a leash and get him used to strangers, but keep your distance so that nothing happens. Whenever the dog goes forward to fend off the stranger, lead him away on the leash until he calms down and let him sit and then briefly praise him. It helps a lot to talk to strangers who are nice and to simply ignore the dog on the leash. The dog learns that this is completely normal and that no attack is coming. It is important to get used to these situations and show the dog that you have everything under control. I have an Ovtscharka mix and have come a long way.
Wow this was a tough one glad to see you didn’t give up but I will say the dog is really true to his breed very protective not dogs fault it was what he was taught of course but beautiful dog and props to you to keep going and helping out the owners glad to know you care to TrueType help stay blessed as you are take care❤❤
This is impressive. I'm glad to see another session with this beautiful furry beast. The moment where he barks while leaving though 1:53 😂. It was funny and scary at the same time. He is smart, you're right
If you get a slim metal pipe of about three feet long, and thread the lead through it so that it is next to the dog, this will prevent them lunging directly at you.
For all youRE hard work wE all thank you. It’s not easy to do what you do, even if you make it look like it is. PleAse continue to spread LovE to dogS and TheIr compaNions Everywhere.
You are wrong when it comes to training highly aggressive, reactive dogs. DD knows what he is doing. Try not to act like you know more than an ACTUAL dog trainer. 😔😩
Some advice I think that you should try and look them in the eyes and tell them everything's going to be okay because just giving them orders doesn't always work I can see it's not giving you the reaction you're looking for but I noticed that you can seem to calm them down a lot more and comfort them if you just try to make them feel a lot more safer it seems to work for me I'm an animal behavior specialist and I just thought you should know please try it
You are putting your life in jeopardy while you work with this dog. A strong man keeps going, admits when he needs to try something different and doesn't give up. Much respect. Oh, and pray for guidance sir! Jesus loves you.
I think the biggest thing you could´ve done to make this easier is everytime you meet hm especially the first time. Yall should´ve went for a long walk away from home with his whole family. Somewhere he´s never been and yall just walk together for 30m or 1h maybe even some jogs and some playtimes in between. That way he gets to know you better and it makes the next training sessions easier. Just a gut feeling. No idea if this would´ve helped : )
I think it's a good idea. But you can also just sit in the garden and chat while the dog is secured on a leash. Then again and again and again and again. Then DD is almost part of the family and then everything becomes much easier. But don't think that he can just take the leash, this dog doesn't want that and will defend himself. He is similar to a livestock guard dog and I know these dogs.
@maggpie5552 Yes, I just saw it now. He attacks his owner. That's very bad. You are right. I have an Ovtaschrka mix and he would never attack me, even accidentally bite me. I can imagine that this dog was left to his own devices on the farm. The owner did it wrong. My tip here is BS and would only work if the owner was a guide for him.

Some people are saying that's now how you train the dog...Now tell me the difference of session 1 to 4 ? Clearly a lot of progress
DOG DADDY YOU ARE THE BEST ❤❤❤❤
HUGE Difference! I look forward to seeing the next training session.💙
Good Lord in heaven. While I don't understand getting a dog like this, I'm glad someone can handle it. Unreal.
I hope you put all the sessions together into a documentary!
D.D. You have done such a good job with Squash! This dog has definitely pushed his limits to the max but how could you ever trust that dog again?? Especially around children. Unfortunately not every dog can be fixed.
Wow! You can see progress though! 👏🏻
My dog is EXACTLY like this one here! It's horrible. But I can't give up on her. She is part Mastiff as well
Make sure your love to her prevents from biting anybody. If you can't control your dog, your are responsible for any damage she does.
I can help you @MrsFaulk7 :)
Well done 👏 👏 👏, DD you NEVER get defeated ❤
It’s been a month now and I’m hoping on an update? Part 5?
Quite a way to go, but man, what a great development already!
For all youRE hard work wE all thank you. It’s not easy to do what you do, even if you make it look like it is. PleAse continue to spread LovE to dogS and TheIr compaNions Everywhere.
I can't wait to see the next training session with this beautiful powerful beast, a.k.a Dog Daddy!
I'm not a trainer, but I think taking the stunna shades off would work wonders. Eye contact make a huge difference in the Universe .
Good idea
You are wrong when it comes to training highly aggressive, reactive dogs. DD knows what he is doing. Try not to act like you know more than an ACTUAL dog trainer. 😔😩
Some advice I think that you should try and look them in the eyes and tell them everything's going to be okay because just giving them orders doesn't always work I can see it's not giving you the reaction you're looking for but I noticed that you can seem to calm them down a lot more and comfort them if you just try to make them feel a lot more safer it seems to work for me I'm an animal behavior specialist and I just thought you should know please try it
Oh and if anybody ever gives you a problem remember what I said tell him what is your problem this 😂 ain't Discovery channel
I also agree and take the hat off😊
Thats a mouthfull, made to fight wulfs and snow leopard, respect Malito
@@riekaakier1526 Sit in the garden with him, lolol. He attacked his owner, bit him! Livestock guard dogs don't attack the owners that feed them.
@@riekaakier1526 Ya, I was wondering also how he was brought up.
