I’ve seen this play out with owners of extremely expensive horses, for instance. Some people just don’t connect with or have any feeling for animals. And yet, they want to be seen with the perfect animal.
Obviously it’s all about her, the planet revolves around her … she never once engaged with her dog, or Augusto.

I’m not a trainer but the first thing I would say is take a walk with him for 20 minutes a day. If he likes to play ball throw a ball for him and play fetch. Teach him to sit with treats. Shake.
She could never play ball with him. They bring that ball back really slimy and gross. She couldn't have her hands getting messed up like that. Especially, if it stopped her from being on her phone.

It’s funny how people are so upset by a little scripted message and it’s fine if they want to leave the channel, but I think he’s 100% earned the right to have a little fun. Why not? He has dogs trying to bite and lunge at him all day when he’s working. Whether this is real or not, whether this owner is in a costume or not, speaks to his sense of fun. I’ve learned SO MUCH from him and always enjoy his fun side. We need more fun in the world! I even saw this owner trying not to laugh. Loved it! 😅🎉😊🤷♀️

OMG. She is absolutely awful. She has no clue as to what it takes to own a dog. Nor does she want to. She totally is the reason why the dog doesn’t want to have anything to do with her!! She should just get a mechanical dog and give this one away to someone who wants to love it and spend the time it really takes to build a relationship with it. We dog owners all do a lot of things FOR our dogs, but we also do a lot of things WITH them. You need to spend time WITH your dog.
If you are constantly too busy and have a bad attitude towards your own dog then no wonder he doesn’t want to listen to you.
Dogs need attention, direction and love.
Take your heels off, put your phone in silent, cook him chicken breast in plain water for 20 minutes, cut it into small pieces, sit down with him on your carpet and start from hand feeding him small pieces of the chicken (tell him he is a good boy), then ask him to sit and give him another piece of chicken (tell him “good boy” again), then ask him to lie down and give him another piece of chicken (tell him “good boy” again), then teach him to roll over and other tricks you fancy and reward him every time he does something right and tell him he’s a “good boy”. It’s not hard..
Pet him, give him a hug and a kiss on his forehead because this dog looks like he doesn’t feel loved. A little kindness goes a long way.

Spending time with the lowly dog is for little people. SHE walks around with a camera crew in her house. Good God, of COURSE it's fake. Anyone who can't see this is not real is very very naive. My MIL is like this. She purchased a Pekinese/Terrier mix. She wanted me to train the dog, but didn't put any effort into it. I tried to explain to her that I could train the dog, but if she doesn't work with her dog, the dog would only listen to the people working with the dog. I'm not going to waste my time and effort for something like that, particularly since she lets her dog run around the neighborhood...no leash, no fence, no owner.
Needless to say, she gets angry that my little dogs are trained and hers isn't.
