Thank you so much for posting the videos that you do brother! I am a behaviorist out of North Atlanta / North Georgia. I've been working as a trainer/behaviorist for the past 12 years and your videos have really helped me with explaining processes to new clients who are just at their wits end... Beautiful. I always tear up when watching you manage aggressive dogs and get them under control. It's my passion to be able to do the same one day. I made your training style as a part of my own. I am more focused on rewarding with my pup, but thats because it's a 3 pound sheltidoodle and he likes to learn commands and execute them. But i deal with a lot of untrained dogs when at the dogpark. Sigh. The only critism i would have is try to reduce the audio when the dog barks so i dont have to adjust my volume constantly. Thanks for the awesome videos.

So many people use harnesses on big dogs thinking they are training their dogs kindly. All it seems to do is make it easier for the owner to hang on while their dog fails to respond due to the lack of physical communication. That can easily escalate into a dangerous situation. Unless you need to physically pick your dog up to protect them or need a halter to pull or tote something, they are training training inhibitors that reinforce bad behavior. After initially using a training collar, my Akita now wears a wide web martingale on a loose leash. She’s a softy and can enjoy off leash dog parks. Great session DD!

I will try these steps with my 3 year old dog. He looks like a Chichiwinnie Jack Russell Mini Doberman Pinscher all in one. He weighs 12 pounds and has strength. He was moved from his main home to another family's home and then he needed to be rehomed again. and I wondered if this has caused him trauma or something more which I will never know🥺. I wanted to give him an opportunity and give him a forever loving home and I would not change it for anything. At home he is the sweetest, energetic, happy dog that wants all the attention. He gets along with the 13 year old Chihuahua. Listens to commands such as Stay, Wait, Sit. However, when he goes for his walks he can be reactive towards people/especially men and other dogs. It makes me sad yet I want the best for him and to help him with any fear/insecurities he has. Thank you Augusto for sharing 🫶🏻🐾

Even though I have total confidence with DD's ability & training methods, I have to admit that I'm still constantly shocked by how quickly he turns these dogs around. They literally go from scared & aggressive to calm & confident in a matter of minutes. Keep up the great work, Augusto!! 💕🐾💕

The leash around the ribs really works, as it puts pressure on the area of the dog which would be stretched if picked up by a mother dog. If you also put the lead through the collar, then it is less likely to slip to the waist and will put pressure on the neck area which is also part of the 'picked up by a mother dog' area. These two areas calm a dog. Lovely to see such a quick change in this dog.

Anytime I come across someone who’s seems like they need to train their dog better or just in general want to be the best leader for their dog I always advise them to check out the dog daddy. Hands down one of the best dog trainers in the world. I’m getting a place with my cousin soon and he has a 130lb female mastif that’s not trained at all and she hates guys. I’m very hesitant and nervous about her trying to used to me with her being so untrained. I’ll for sure be using everything I learned from the dog daddy when I do engage with her and hopefully help her become more trained and used to me.
