Does anyone else appreciate the calmness of the room as dog daddy commands their attention? As the dog owners relax and focus on him, their dogs do as well. I think that’s a big learning moment if they would look around and noticed this about themselves.

Yes, l’ve noticed this in the past too even when he has been training outdoors where there is more distractions from maybe people in a park not involved in the training . I think also that it’s his even controlled energy that animals are really good at sensing . He never yells at the dogs but is direct with his commands and his actions. And no multiple word long winded commands , one to two word commands at the most while maybe including the dogs name . This is what I was taught and used to train my German Shepards and other dogs back in the seventies to recently .
I’d love to attend one of Dog Daddy’s classes but they are always to far away. If he could come to Boise or Sun Valley , Idaho other than April I’d be there .

I just have to say Dog Daddy is the MAN. Also, I'm so happy to see videos more like these where he explains everything so clearly. AND: to the naysayers who claimed all sorts of things against Dog Daddy- in this video alone, he proves four points they're always trying to make. ( Against him)
    1) that doesn't explain what he's doing and why. CLEARLY he does in this video!
    2) that he doesn't work through the problem to resolve it. In this case dogs reactivity to other dogs. CLEARLY he does.
    3) that he abuses the prong collar, and hurts the dog. DD CLEARLY demonstrates very light, 2 finger pressure only.
    4) that he makes the dog's problems worse by traumatizing them during training.
** He verbalizes over and over of creating a safe, positive &/or neutral space for the dog, so the dog does not have to be reactive and feel threatened all the time. How is that abuse? Or trauma? Sure, at first there is going to be discomfort, confusion or fear in the dog because this problem has never been addressed head on or resolved up to this point in the dog's life.
I love this type of video of him "training the owner."

I will never understand why another dog trainer would attack you when you have such good results. I had a horse trainer and he once mentioned how people bring their problem horses to him and he needed to be very strict with these horses (problems made by other people) because he would be put in danger himself. He would take horses that other trainers wouldn't touch. When he would hook something up on their legs and throw the horse onto the ground it looked very cruel, but he needed to show a 1000+ pound animal that he was in control. There's not a nice way to do it sometimes. Owners who have never owned a horse before would give them treats and spoil them and the horse thought he was boss. Then the owners want to do more practical things with the horse like going to horse shows and the horse balked at training, rearing up and other very dangerous behaviors. Trainers would tell them I can't work with your horse anymore. My trainer was the last stop for these horses because the owners couldn't even give them away. These kind of horses end up at the auction selling to the meat buyers. So I salute you for standing firm in the face of harsh, unknowledgeable critics, you have my respect!

    • @talibahodonkor9202

I 1000% agree with you. His results are undeniable. I don’t want to call out these other dog trainers, just to say because Dog daddy has a gift with the animals doesn’t make you a bad trainer. Lots of good teachers have jobs. There is enough space for everyone. You do not need to pull someone down to get a leg up it shows a lack of confidence in yourself when you resort to that. Abuse is allowing your dog to be so uncontrollable in public that it attacks someone or has to be put down. Dog Daddy in my humble opinion is saving a lot of dogs and dog parents. 🎉

Whenever we are uncomfortable we experience a level of fear. When we are learning new things we are outside of our comfort zone. Dog daddy is teaching the dogs new behaviour. Simples. I wish people would observe and think for themselves and not just follow crowd mentality.
Ground breaking people are always persecuted at first.

I wish there was dog trainers around here like you. You do an amazing job. Every time I watch your videos. I just hate how some of the trainers are around here we hired one and told me to growl and grab the side of the neck side to side on a nine week old, Cane Corso so we fired him after two sessions. I did thanks to your videos
