What I like about your channel is your style of training, the fact that you train outside and show your full workouts, and your tips about progressing without complicating things. Still, if being offline is important, I am grateful to have learned a lot and completely understand that choice.
You and K. Boges have some of the best advice on keeping your routines simple/consistent and built on the cornerstones of the basics. From my experience as well as observation; the basics work best. Inspiring content as always sir!
Been doing kettlebell workouts for a while now and thought that covered everything. Boy was I wrong calisthenics had me sore in ways I haven't felt in a long time and I'm loving it
Enjoying the videos. I’m 45 and do a similar type of workout in my garage. Mix of bodyweight, dumbbells and kettlebells. Thanks for the content and motivation!
Good to see you back, bro! I found your content right when I got some knee pain from a heavy BB routine. I escalated to much too quick. I bailed on weights and full calisthenics*. Almost 6 months later, legit have never had a better upper body. I usually run, for time sake, 10 down sets for time of all movements in one big super set. So for example, 10 pull ups, 10 dips, 10 push ups, 9 pull ups, 9 dips, 9 push ups, so on. Rest as needed, but the time doesn't stop. Run the routine twice per week, the progressive overload is time. Improve your finishing time week to week. Do the same with lower body, though I use kettlebells for those days. 10 Goblet Squats or Front squats, 10 swings or hinge movement, 10 press variation, like single strict press. Highly effective. I'll train this way forever. Thank you
You’ve been a huge help. I did 100 pushups, 100 chest press, and 60 dips. Normally I focus on what I could’ve done vs what I actually did. Yeah my form got rough as the sets went on and I had to break more breaks but at the end of day I did all of that! Progress not perfection!
I’ve been documenting everything since starting 4 months ago..went from 3 sets of 10 push-ups to 25 per set..pull-ups 3 reps to 8..your vid’s keep us motivated..63 now
Always was into the old school approach, whenever i run into sm routines like this it makes me wanna give it a try. I'd like to see more of the routines, pretty sure you've got plenty of effective ones
Hope this comment sees you well , 3 years ago I started a push up pull up legs routine ( body weight ) best results,, fast forward I got into weights and my results haven’t been as good maybe I just don’t push as hard either way your videos have given me the urge to get that push up endurance back. There’s just something about using your own body weight that’s more sustainable. Good videos bro
Hey, what recording equipment do you use when you film outside? I have some strong winds, but I really enjoy your videos and your outside videos turn out well. Thanks for any info =)
Glad to see u back man! U look better than last time tho, keep up the good work! I have scoliosis and im now motivated by your videos but im doing a modified routine that will not hurt my spine because of my condition (light weight high intensity, hittin failure most of the time) currently using a pair of 15lbs dumbbell for ohp, with bench dips and bench push ups for push day and maybe it's an effective combo too! Hope u respond to my training approach man and I'm gonna appreciate that a lot! While on pull day, assisted chinups, inverted rows and same pair of dumbbells for upright rows, while a bunch of bw squats in leg day (dont know if i rly need hip hinge exercises coz my glutes are already in great size hahaha)
Appreciate you! I’m not sure how scoliosis affects your workout routines and day day life, but it’s inspiring that you keep training.🫡 Check out my video from two days ago, titled “I’ve never been in a gym “ , those are the only hip hinge exercises I do. Highly effective. Keep pushing 💪
Hey bro ! Great come back on utub, What do u thing about my split ? Day one : weighted dips, pull ups, push ups and row Day 2 : arms et delts isolation with some burpees Day 3 : weighted squat, lunges and deadlifts ? Thanks from france
I see you logging your workouts and you mentioned shooting for 300-400 reps. Is that for each exercise or in total? Also how do you progress your movement are you trying to do more dip or push ups each set each week?
I’ve never done em because it doesn’t feel like a natural movement to me. You think I should? I feel my body weight exercises hit em pretty well. I do a little bit of overhead pressing with dumbbells. I have strong shoulders
@jrich9674 well you have my dream body and i dont know when i will have body like this😅, but are you really just do these exercise for build your muscle and never go to the gym ? I just wondering , anyway keep it up🔥🔥
Hello from Germany. I like your videos and workouts. I have two questions: How many rounds of this workout do you do and do you take a day off between push and pull workout?
@@ulfm.7868 maybe I was a little confusing, sorry. Depending on your fitness level, you could do 10 sets on each exercise= 300 reps I’ve done that in the past. I only did five sets on a the dumbbell press, but I want to build up to 10 sets.
Do you record your videos with iPhone? If it's iPhone what type? I mean 14 pro or which one? Glad to see you back, great video, you are in good shape. Regards from Hungary 😁
Did an old prison routine today myself, no weights all pushups, 10 incline 10 decline 10 flat 10 wide 10 diamond and that's one set of 50 pushups, do 10 sets.

dang he is built like that with no dumbbell weighing over 50 lbs impressive
Damn, that's a lot of volume. How many sets would you recommend for someone starting out with this style of training?
Start off with 5 set of 10 on each exercise, gradually increase reps from weeks a week. 💪

I see you logging your workouts and you mentioned shooting for 300-400 reps. Is that for each exercise or in total? Also how do you progress your movement are you trying to do more dip or push ups each set each week?
Total. There’s many ways to progress besides counting total reps. One of the best ways is to slow the reps down
I’m older but I wish I could train with for awhile.😊
Hey man, do you not doing lateral raise for your side delt?

Hello from Germany. I like your videos and workouts. I have two questions: How many rounds of this workout do you do and do you take a day off between push and pull workout?
I put the exact routine in the description. Sometimes I’ll do push, pull on back to back days. Sometimes I’ll break it up a day with legs
5 - 10 - 6 sets? So you do different numbers of sets for each exercise? Not like the rounds in the video?

Do you ever do arm isolations like bicep curls or triceps extensions?
I do curls and skull crushers once a week or every other week. I try to hit each muscle group 2 x per week. I’ll do a video on arms shortly.
@@jrich9674 Would be great to see. Thank you
One last question, how important is it to do weighted reps for building muscle and having that nice physique?
Just depends on what your goals are. I like doing sessions of nothing but weighted pull-ups for the day. But not very often

Are you hitting your protein numbers? That way you are able to recover and come back stronger for your next session.
@@jrich9674 Most days yes but i think I may need to keep better track. What ratio or daily grams do you recommend (165lbs)?
@@ddelmarsmithI try to get .75 grams per pound of body weight. Nothing crazy.
