      No, this is a very bad advice that will let you astray for a stupid amount of time.
      Best advice I can give to beginners is to begin with the stomach facing the wall.
      the second one is to find a coach, Seriously don't be misled about it, doing consistent handstands is way way waaaaaaaaaaay harder than it seems. Like Juji said with the one-arm handstand but it applies to every level you try to advance, the effort it take to progress is absurd and in the internet there is simply not enough content or content of quality, at least for free

      To be fair, Larry is what happens when you've been doing all the PEDs for over a decade and somehow survived. He's the bodybuilding version of Keith Richards. Still impressive skills though.

    Very impressed with their performance at their weights.
    Handstands are definitely a high skill movement, Juji isn't kidding about the time/reward ratio. Took me 7 months to get a 10 second hold, but I got to 60 sec after 1 year. 3 years in I can do all kinds of shapes and even eyes closed for almost 30 seconds but the one arm handstand feels a long way off.

      Yeah, he is right. That's why I stopped training handstands and moved on to more difficult things after learning handstand (in terms of strength and statics holds)

    For handstands, all you need to do is open up your shoulders to be a straight line. Then you can tighten your core and glutes and you will have a straight handstand.

    • @Horneycorn
      @Horneycorn 10 месяцев назад

      For a big guy you can't just open up your shoulders. It's even hard to scratch the back of the head when being that big. Everything just tightens up the bigger your get.

    I found it easier to get to the Human flag from the lower part and just push myself up, a lot of the human flag depends on the position of the lower shoulder to me.

    I follow all these guys and they all seem like good dudes. If I could have any of their physiques, it would be Mitbo. His strength per pound is phenomenal. I used to get caught up in the big muscles but the functionality of such a physique is way more limited. Not to mention the toll it takes on the body with injury and pharmaceuticals. I liked Juju's physique better before he did his big bulk. Way more athletic and functional. His waist needs some work too or more width on the delta. Wheels waist is remarkably small for a powerlifter, good frame for bodybuilding.
