- The rules -
- I can't pick up items outside of the sky
- I can't leave the sky until I'm ready to kill Ganondorf
- I can pick up the paraglider
- I can use glitches
- I must kill Ganondorf in 5 days

Beat totk without the paraglider
Tears of the kingdom but no bosses other than Ganon you can go do stuff but the only boss you can fight is Ganon

tears of the kingdom but you have wear as many (botw) IL wr outfits as possible (assuming all of the clothing pieces in botw are in totk)
You could do totk but when I leave an area I can't go back like at the beginning you are in the sky but when you leave you can not return in the sky
Everytime you jumped off a glider, it gave me a heart attack. 😳

I did this challenge the other day! You should try get that master sword before leaving the sky, it’s even more challenging but way more rewarding.

Technically, according to speedruns, you can go from the tutorial island directly to Ganondorf. Every speedrun is a SKY only challenge XD

@@Chorlied9727 but we saw him using a fairy before, so he could have just done that. Although I think there are a couple other drops later on, so you would need quite a few fairies

I just did/am doing a similar challenge. Complete the entire sky before touching hyrule or the depths. We started out almost exactly the same, going for that big island, zonai armor, and the glider suit. Getting around is real hard, until you find a place with steering sticks. You didn't mention there are no blood moons (which only affects monsters and weapons, not world resources or constructs) so world resources such as apples and ore deposits respawn, but weapons and monsters don't respawn, and constructs don't respawn, so resources are limited, which makes it a tough challenge. No battery upgrades, no Hestu, no paraglider, no great fairies (wing suit does not cancel fall damage). Oh my gosh, there's a lot of fall damage. Regular fairies are the only reason it's possible at all. Also there isn't enough battery to fly from island to island, so you need zonai charges, which come from constructs, which don't respawn..... I had do save-spam the skydive challenges, to set a record, then just barely beat the record, then just barely beat the record again, over and over, to keep trading zonai charges for large zonai charges. I was able to get about 5 large zonai charges from each one, and they are *essential* to flying around. I had to use the light dragon as a mode of transportation occasionally, to reach other islands. (She flies so slow.) Fusing dragon parts is a good way to get some moderately powerful weapons. I also dived from light dragon down onto Farosh, and got some other dragon parts. I think you can probably get Dinraal and Naydra too. Getting stamina and the master sword was helpful. I have completed everything, except the king gleeoks in the corners of the map. Someone who's better than me can definitely do it, but I keep dying. When your best bow is the zonaite bow, and your best weapon is the master sword with construct part or dragon part, and there is no attack buf armor or food... it's real hard to keep that dragon on the ground.

The big sky island where you get the zonaite armor i think has some respaening mighty zonaite weapons. It would have been good to use them with construct horns
Weapons and monsters respawn with blood moons, and there are no blood moons when you play sky-only. (Ask me how I know). Sollus showed a glitched blood moon. I got one too, when I was riding the light dragon, the moment she started to glow again, 10 minutes after I grabbed a horn or scale. But I only got one glitched blood moon the whole time, and no more.

@@edwardnedharvey8019Blood moons can occur in the sky. The only time that they can't occur in the sky is during the tutorial on the great sky island. If I'm wrong then feel free to point and laugh

You know, you could have got the Master Sword. The Light Dragon is in the sky.
You would have to sacrifice most of your Lights of Blessing for that though. The master sword requires two wheels of stamina, so five stamina updates, which means you have to complete 20 shrines to be able to get the sword. After the Great Sky Island, there are only 28 other shrines in the sky. He would have to find a way to travel to twenty of those and complete them without a glider, and if he wants more than four hearts, he needs to do 24 or all 28 of them. Getting to all those sky shrines and to the Light Dragon would've taken tons of time and ressources - I think beating Ganon with 7 hearts and random weapons is still better than doing all those shrines and then beating Ganon with 4-6 hearts an the master sword.

I have played this game for quite a while, and the only Blood Moons I have gotten are either regularly scheduled ones or the ones I delayed.

Thats a lot of mighty zonite weapon on the place you first explore, the one with water and lava inside, you can take those and combine it with construct part, a flux is a good option, also constuct soldier IV available in the water tample

A run like this must acknowledge that gannon happons on the ground.
Because its a sky only challenge, I would have set a caveat that you can obtain the paraglider but then go straight back to the sky once you have it
maybe the exception is no touching the ground? like how new speedrun routes work, they use gliders to activate the temple of time's door and jump off without actually touching the ground, so they void out and get brought back to a higher location
@@rubellite4480 Have a link? I tried real hard to get anything on the ground, without touching the ground. I drop some logs from the sky, then dive into water and get on them, then use a fan to reach the edge of the water, and start constructing things from one of Hudson's material piles. I'm able to travel across the surface, but as soon as I activate a shrine, or come near lookout landing, or talk to Josha, thus triggering any cutscene, the vehicle disappears or is moved. The game puts me on the ground.

its aclled a ppanic blood moon they are much faster than a normal blood moon and only happen if the game has too much stuff happenign at once

Because you can't. You can't access the boss fights without activating the main terminal. And even if you were allowed to, you'd still need the respective Sages to be with you to activate the turbines and valves. And you have to meet them on land first!

need full second stamina wheel, which is 20 shrines. there are 32 shrines in the sky, and only 2 goddess statues in the sky (one in sky temple of time, the other in dragonhead island)
