@@walter1027 I was talking about ToTK challenge runs that involve a theme, such as using a certain type of gear or getting gear from a certain place.

General tip for boss fights: The finishing hit of your melee combo is actually slower than the other hits, despite dealing the same damage. It's mainly used for knocking down lesser enemies and stuff like that, but when the boss is stunned, you get a decent amount more damage if you only repeat the first 3 hits (one-handed weapons) or 4 hits (spears).
What about claymores
@@crazycatperson5751 Stopping before the finishing hit with the claymore doesn't save any time as far as I can tell, but using the charge attack definitely does (You can also act out of the charge attack quicker by cancelling it with B before the slam)
Fun fact about the gibdo fight, if you have a mirror you can damage it constantly using the mirror. (if on a shield) (Light damages the queen so reflecting the light into it does damage)

Tip for the water temple boss: use your bow. When it's running you can shoot him once to stop him so you can get hits in. On the second phase I recommend attaching eyes to your arrows since he moves too much.

Tip: For Ganondorf's 2nd/3rd phase you can hit the hit the moving gloom (mounds?) to deflect them back to him.
Details for those who're wanting to try this:
You need to have the Master Sword for this.
In the first and second phases, the projectiles that Ganondorf creates when slamming the ground with the Gloom Club (the three-way spread) can be deflected by striking them with the Master Sword. Gloom Arrows can be deflected, but you'll still take a blow. The projectiles in the third phase (the wave from the Gloom Club, the homing Gloom missiles from the Spear and the circle of Gloom that surrounds you when he draws his Demon King's Bow) can all be deflected. However, no Demon Dragon projectiles can be deflected, as you're airborne.

8:05 here is a tip of you attach the ball to a hover stone and then activate it and use ultra hand to put it so the ball is in the divot you can easily keep the door open

Depths only run should be next but to make it even more extreme you can never leave the depths after the tutorial (dive into water near a chasm and use a wing to safely get down the chasm without the paraglider) just grind as much as you possibly can down there and since you can't leave the depths you also can't do any of the temples. Challenge ends once you have defeated the silver lynel guarding the entrance to Ganons chamber, Colgera, Queen Gibdo, Marbled Gohma, Mucktorok and Ganondorf Dragmire himself along with the Demon Dragon.
Also if you actually decide to do this run its made harder by the fact that nothing in the depths can respawn because blood moons will never happen when you are in the Depths to my knowledge and also you probably want to clear out that Coliseum of Lynels asap because it lets you get Silver Lynel parts very early in the game. This challenge sounds so fun I might try it out myself when master mode comes out.
yea that’s really hardcore, i’ve done a depths challenge but not one that hard, if i come back to it i’ll definitely consider it 👍👍
you can’t fight the depths temple bosses until you’ve beaten the bosses in their actual temples though :(

I loved your depths only run I wanted to try it out but the sky only run seems to hard for me honestly but your just very good just like your content and are able to beat it!

the trick to marbled gohma u wait 2 seconds after all of the legs are back then strike his leg also queen gibdo tip destroy the hives with bomb flowers instead of rijus lightning because u can immediately reload u atleast need 3 bomb flowers

Also can you do a boko only run? Only boko mask, maybe boko weapons and no killing bokos until the boss rush (the challenge doesnt start until you get the boko mask but you cant do any land story stuff before you get it)

A tip, if you fuse light dragon parts to a weapon it heals you on hit.

Tip for mucktorok: in low gravity areas(like the entire area near the water temple) you can just jump to enter bullet time you can abuse this to easily stop him after washing off the muck shark

I love this game I recently finished and right now I’m still doing some stuff like i’m still getting all the light roots maybe when I’m done with that I’ll do my first challenge run
there's a chest in the great sky island that has an opal so you don't even need a hydrant
A tip about the statue, but opals and splash fruit are some of the best ways to clear away sludge
Also, the water temple ball that you talked about can be kept in place easily using one of the hover stones
There are 8 splash-fruit bushes in the Sky islands, and 7 opals. But they are hard to find.
small suggestion for your videos, like on your depths video, i fell like there isnt much music, i saw you do more with with it this time, but your videos are still awesome and id watch them without music either way
If you jump up in low gravity you can get bullet-time, I used this for the entire boss fight for Zora's Domaine

When your going against gary if instead of using the element stuff and you parry him you only have to hit him once and then he goes into the electric fence taking damage instead of a couple times, i hope this helps
So in the sky only run - did that include dragon parts? If so, could you only get the light dragon since she's the only one that remains about the surface the entire time?
Tip for flux constructs: just rip the cubes off of them. They can’t reattach them and eventually they will fall apart and you can get hits in

Wasn't the paraglider gotten on the ground? Doesn't that mean you couldn't use it? That would have been a real challenge. Zonite devices and upgraded glide set (if possible) would have been interesting.

You mentioned not getting the HC from the Fire Temple, but I'm curious why you didn't grab the one from the Water Temple? Looked like you still had 3 hearts after having Sidon's power.
oh i did grab it i just switched the hearts for stamina. i know the statue is technically on the ground but oh well
Try a Food Fighter run where you can only use food and potion ingredients as weapons to beat the game. No sword, shields, bows, devices (unless required by shrines) or armour. Just food buffs and ingredients.

Challenge run idea: shrine only challenge run. You can get armor from other places as I don’t know if there is any shrine armor but all weapons and materials must come from shrines

For sludge you can also use normals chuchu jelly’s I don’t know why people don’t know this
i never knew that we were supposed to shoot the legs for the lava temple boss,i just stunned it using keese eyeballs use ascend and smack the shit out of it using my sword ,
for thw water and lightening ,the strat fully depended on the use of rocket shields and gem shots(muctorock= opal to stun ,electric keese for the octopus rest by swords , gibdo rocket shields ,topaz shots using my bow rest by sword 0
though tbf by the time i actually started doing the 4 temples ,i already had like 15 hearts,2 wheels of stamina and weapons fully comprising of savage lynel bows(5 shot or durability up) lynel saber blade and hylian shield.
i totally forgot abt the main quests and was free roaming for a long time

Pro tip: to get the ball to stay there in the water temple is grab the hoover stone, attack the ball and shove it in the hole

…I never used the Zora armour for the water temple - a few Zonai devices were all I needed (along with a bunch of recalls to make up for my terrible battery life)
I did however use the Zora armour to get the Zonai fabric, as I couldn't be bothered making that many updrafts and stamina foods.
oh you are totally right, if i had half as many brain cells as you i would’ve tried it 👍
@@wicklit I've also since realised that I can do it without recall by using a lit torch to restart the flame emitter under the balloon each time my battery runs out - it doesn't quite stop you from falling, but it's very close, and might make you rise slightly faster when used alongside the flame emitter (but I haven't tested that last bit.)
muktorok is one of the EASIEST boss fights if you have keese eyes
You don't need the zora armor.
You can use bomb shields and balloons to get up there.
In fact I did that in my first playtrough.
12:05 you changed your hearts to stamina i could be wrong but i dont think theres a devil statute in the skys
Thinking the same...the only statue is in Lookout Landing
You need 10 hearts to get Mineru, it’s a hard requirement lol
