@@StudioonaStick Question...I select a my imput..."my guitar" to record. I select my channel to record on. HOWEVER 🤔 my external microphone is still recording ambient sound in the room. The machine should ONLY record the guitar! The external Mikeraphone should be off...completely! How can I dismantle the external microphone when I am recording just a guitar tract? Frustrating that it gets ambient sounds on the tract. Disappointing! Please advise! Thank You! Ray Milford, Massachusetts Thank
@@RollingStoneZzzzz Hey, Ray. What you wanna do is hit the 'input' button and make sure your input that you're using is set to "ext. input, LINE/ Low" and this would be your regular guitar cable inputs. What you DON'T want is "Internal MIC /High" or "Internal MIC /Low". The switch on the back of the interface doesn't actually change what inputs are being used. Another thing to consider is that if you're using an acoustic electric and it has a mic in the guitar, that's what the interface will pick up so if you dont want the ambient noise I would mess w/ my guitar levels or use a regular electric. I've found that some acoustic electric act different depending on if the little switch on the back is set to "Guitar" or "Mic/Line" so kinda see what works best for you. Hope I was able to help out another student. Good luck!
@@StudioonaStick I have the DP-03SD model and noticed it doesn't have the input settings button is there any way it can access input effects like the exciter?
I have a question. After I have mixed my tracks on my DP-008Ex, and then I go to Auto Master, and then I listen to it on "natural" and "maximum", the volume is so much more louder than what I mixed the song at. Also, when I have the type "off", the volume is at the same level as what I recorded the song at. Does anyone have any idea what has happened to cause this change. I do not have a clue.
In using "input dynamics," how can I actually hear the effect of different levels in real time. How can I accustom myself to the differing ranges and levels of say, compression? Sir, I am a 75-year-old fellow in Eastern KY who had all but given up any hope of using my DP 008. I do welcome your explanation and your manner. I'm afraid to say this but...I am understanding that of which you speak! Blessings!!!
Hello from Motown. Set your input dynamic and arm the track to record. Then practice with whatever input dynamic you have, then switch, then play, then switch, then play a little more, etc... until you find what setting you like. Then hit record and go!!! Good luck!
Hi, first - thanks for making these. I’ve got a question re the metronome level. The owner’s manual states that 100 is the default, but it can actually go up to 127. Do you know how to go past 100? It’s actually almost too quiet to hear over a noisy guitar.
My problem is that Tascam didnt program the ability to PUNCH in with 4 beats before the recording begins. this makes it difficult when recording a solo into the measure or to replace a segment on the same track

The 3SD has EQ only, you would have to use an outboard effect.
Excellent!
Thanks, glad it helped.

The metronome is not loud enough on these, but otherwise happy with mine.
Nice!
Thanks!
Excellent

I've noticed that and spin as I may, 100 is the max.
I think that's a typo...
