Feeling like a bit of a fool for forgetting to include my amp settings, so here they are! Fishman Fluence Abasi’s > Korg Pitch Black Tuner > Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 > Neural DSP Archetype: Gojira (just the pitch shifter section) > Neural DSP Soldano SLO100 (compressor > “overdrive” > amp) > GGD Cali. Amp settings are roughly 656 bass mid treble, presence around 6 and depth at 10.
Another thing that I didn’t do because the video is already long is the kind of tones you get from mixing cabs, it’s like a whole new lot of cabs just from mixing cabs. Lots of options!
I've got a question! I cannot play this without it cracking like crazy. I've disabled the IRs on the all VSTs leaving room for the Cali Oversized, but it's beyond crackling. If I had two or more mics/amps, its over. I'm using Reaper through a Focusrite Solo. MY DI signal isn't even high. Please tell me you know what's going on.
Sounds like your processor might not be able to handle it, unfortunately! I’d suggest increasing your buffer rate and using a standalone plugin to monitor outside of your DAW
I literally CAN NOT get this plugin to scan in reaper :( I've tried clearing my cache and rescanning but reaper won't scan it! If somebody could help that would be awesome!
Yeah I whiffed it HARD on this one, I have to pull some BS to get my mic to record with OBS so you’re hearing Archetype: Cory Wong as a vocal channel 😂
Anyone else running windows 10 and have issues with cali and zilla causing your daw (mine is Cubase) to crash out? I'm dying inside with this hurdle that's keeping me some such killer IR's.
You rock but.....I'm listening on Barefoot MM27's in a tuned room and a lot of the switching sounded kind of the same. Especially the mics. Mostly just less low end on some of the mics. Sounds great in the track.
Are these guitar sounds the best possible way to ''listen'' to the product? Why everyone goes as lower possible to demonstrate. I think this way is not the optimal to demo these products. Never mind thanks for the video man.
They’re the best way to demonstrate what some people will be doing with the product! Some people will be using this plugin for standard E tuning, some will be using drop C, some will use drop Eb. I don’t personally get anything out of hearing some guy play a couple open chords an octave higher because that’s not my standard use case
@@georgeangelakopoulos8884 haha well I’m 35 and I agree man. It’s all starting to sound the same these days. I play low too but sometimes a guy just wants some half step down jerry Cantrell style riffing right?!
@@rjstrange ok I have the gojira thanks I'll try that one tomorrow. 😎 And yes I thought that would be too much due to all the effects it has.... I'll have to buy Fortin...
Yeaaahhh I was hoping I could sneak that past y’all, haha. I had it running thru processing pre-recording and only found out after the video that the sibilants were clipping, so I tried to fix it with a de-esser… just pretend it’s some nice analog saturation 👀
this is just a updated mikko /ml audio already did this ,and also helix and line 6 has this built in to hx edit the mixing and the phasing and inverting as well .nothing new
I mean… you could say the same thing about pickups, it’s been the same design since the 1930’s. doesn’t mean the actual internals and outcome is exactly the same. It sounds really freaking good.

Those riffs are so heavy they increased the mass of the Earth, and now we're going to fall into the sun faster.
You've doomed us all. Thanks.
looool
agreed! Farewell fellows!
Those riffs are so heavy that they are melting core.
His guitar is so heavy that he's obviously fighting with it.
I could literally watch this dude play all day, he just gets so into you can't help get sucked in yourself! Keep rocking dude!
those fucking harmonics dude. You always put out ridiculous shit and I love it
that demo better be on a record eventually
bruh, i listen to this composition so many times,i already wrote lyrics for that, its like in top 10 breakdowns for me. you are sick mate.
Listens to Car Bomb once.
Seriously though, this was great.
always bringin the brootalz
Sick!
Aha, that round of quickfire switching you did was exactly what I was hoping for here, thanks man. Fun riff too!

damn that demo was stank inducing. loving the new video format.
Jesus, I thought that was thunder outside. This cab freakin monster
You are the man🤘🤘could watch you rip all day

Care to share what brand guitar you’re playing here? Absolutely beautiful 👍
Ah yes the forbidden tuning Drop Q

You need more strings on your guitar 😂
Fuckin wiiiiild shit

Does this come with individual IR's to load into my modeler or is the a plugin all together?

Nice breakthrough ! What's your signal chain before the cali plugin ? Can't find a way to get a sound i want.
Hey man! So it’s Fishman Fluence Abasi’s > Korg Pitch Black Tuner > Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 > Neural DSP Archetype: Gojira (just the pitch shifter section) > Neural DSP Soldano SLO100 (compressor > “overdrive” > amp) > GGD Cali.

What a lovely sound good sir. Could you please tell me what you used to do the pitch shifting so I can steal it ?
He said he's using a Neural DSP plugin, so probably he's using Archetype Gojira, cuz it has a pitch shifter that can be controlled via MIDI
@@CheloWiiU Thank you friend

What is your favourite 8 string that you own?
