Fuji XT-5 vs a similar photo centric mirrorless from another brand. Your reviews are excellent and quite entertaining, yet many of us are spending more of our time creating stills. (Btw, ZVE-10 w/13mm here…)😊
Osmo pocket 3 won't match a pro camera In a pro setting environment, but reality is how many people actually do professional video? Grab and go osmo pocket 3 will definitely be the best option.
Holy cow. It's my new year's resolution to start a youtube channel, so i'm doing my research and i have looked at a bunch of videos, and this has been the best so far!!!!
Jay, I really appreciate you doing these videos. I know it is a lot of work. They're very informative and they really help out a lot of people and I'm certainly one of those who appreciate it
I do a lot of trekking and cycling in Europe. After much experimentation, I found my Sony 6700 takes the best still shots. The Osmo takes by far the best shots while I’m walking or cycling. And I use my iPhone for run and gun people shots as it provides the best exposure of faces and is quickest to draw from my hip pocket.
You can charge the pocket 3 while shooting. Connect it to an external batt…easy peazy to hold the batt against the camera and have control of the shoot.
I would just like to point out that I had a ZV-1 and sold it to help finance the purchase of my Pocket 3. I love what I can do with my P3 and its smaller size portability along with the amazing video quality. HOWEVER - when I went to use it 2 days ago & found that the P3 screen no longer could keep its proper position and now flops about in a roughly 45 degree angle, requiring me to send it in to DJI for a (no doubt) costly repair of the interior magnets that help keep the flippy screen in its proper vertical or landscape orientations. I’ve always coddled and protected my Pocket 3, so I was very dismayed for this to suddenly happen. I’m not willing to plow more money into the Pocket 3 - it wasn’t cheap to begin with! I’ve never had anything like this happen with a traditionally-bodied camera. I’m now less inclined to put my money into anything like the Pocket 3 instead of a more sturdy/robust regular type camera body as a result. Just my experience.
I have the ZV-E10 original, OP3, and A6700. If i had to do it all over again, id get the Z -E10 ii with the kit lens and viltrox 13mm first for talking head, vlogging primarily. Then I'd go from there. If youre confident you can learn about manually exposing. If youre not confident you can learn it, go with the OP3.
I have a ZVE-10 AND OP3, I basically keep my Sony as a permanent talking head set up on my desk with a sigma 16mm. It's so much better than the Pocket 3 for that purpose, but the OP3 is my camera for everything else. Totally depends on the use case. Mostly studio I'd always choose a proper camera, but the OP3 is unparalleled for pure portability, versatility, and fun.
I'm not here because i need buying advice. I am just here for entertainment reasons. And i need to say: you did a perfect job comparing these cameras! This is a great ultimate video. The Pocket 3 is just an awesome device and i would recommend buying it always with the creator kit. It's still much cheaper than the ZV-E II but the additional battery and microphone is a good value. DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is just the better Vlog camera.its the strength of this camera. And don't forget you can always use the automatic mode of the ZV-E10 II to not forget your story ;)
Hey Armin, thanks for watching and for the nice comment - I'm glad you found the comparison video helpful and entertaining. I agree, the Pocket 3 is a fantastic little camera, and the Creator Kit definitely adds a lot of value. It's great to have that extra battery and the improved audio quality with the external mic. Both cameras have their strengths, but for vlogging on the go, the Pocket 3's compact size and stabilization make it a winner. And the ZV-E10 II's tactile buttons are definitely handy for those moments when you just want more control on the go. Remember, the best camera is the one you have with you, so pick the one that fits your style and get out there and create
16:50 not sure what that aberration is but it looks like the Sony is hunting for focus on the middle of the frame (the buildings and the traffic), the Osmo looks smooth in the shot right after, although I could be wrong, also here at 19:25 Sony again hunting for focus on the drummer, again I could be mistaken I think the Osmo is way more convenient but the Sony gives you way more options, definitely have to get the one that suits you best, or get both, lol
I'm even more lost now. Could I have some help if I put some context? I'm about to make tuto videos so most of the time the camera will be fixed. I also have an Insta360 that I can bring for instant shots. Should I lean towards the Sony or Dji?
Have you taken my camera "Which Camera Should I Buy" course or free camera quiz yet? They should definitely help you. I have both linked in my latest video.
The OP3 is a compelling option but its lack of lens choices and weatherproofing really are a limiting factor. The Sony is a great vlogging camera but it’s a heavier camera with more stuff to tote around. I wonder if an iPhone 15PM or 16P or PM with its weatherproofing, lens selections and built in stabilization is a better choice than the OP3 in the long run?
Personally i like the wider look of the OP3, but that's because i already have a mirrorless camera. If i was just starting out and had no camera whatsoever i'd probably choose the Sony. 17 ounces is 480 grams btw 😁😁
I recently sold my OP3 due to focus issues. I bought it primarily for top down videos and talking head videos but the focus is always hunting and its very distracting in the videos. Finally frustrated i sold it and will mostly go with the Sony a6700 with a sony 15mm f1.4 lens.
yeah, i bought the first mark of the zve-10. Used it to film and stream dj set with. Love it for that purpose, but when i went traveling to italy i thought to myself: i'm giving myself a osmo pocket 3. It soooo convenient. That just beats the zve alone. the quick charge is really good, the battery also is really nice and the extended batterypack works also really well. Even with a powerbank you can charge it. The battery issue you mention isn't really holding up.
I wanna take a moment to thank you my friend for your great style in presenting and producing this video very well done and I'm happy I came across your channel
Thats hard to say. It depends on what you’re using them for. I created a camera quiz to help you figure out which camera is best for you Have you taken it yet?
We bought several additional batteries for the Osmo 3 at purchase… so I am confused. 🤨 They are little packs you can clip onto the bottom and extend the power.
Sony and Canon will have to come up with a true Osmo competitor, or DJI will take over the majority of the vlog and casual video market. It's already doing so, along with mobile phones.
I'm new to this topic. Which lens is better for sony zve10 ii for talking head and travel videos? In osmo I am still confused by overheating and the short life of the battery
I've been waiting for this video! And now it's final I'm going with Osmo Pocket 3 cuz that's what I need at the moment. I'm a content creator, tiktok affiliate marketer and will do product shoots and I think Osmo best fits me specially I have experience guards confronting us too when they saw us walking with a big equipment camera haha. Thank you! Soon I'll just get my camera and I think its not ZVE anymore its more of a hybrid for photo and video.
I am new to the P3 and my biggest issue with the pocket 3 is seeing the screen and which gimbal movement to use for the situation. I do like taking lots of pictures so sometimes i use the insta360 flow with my iPhone 15 pro max vs the pocket 3. I am a Fuji 🎥 fan so can’t comment on Sony but would purchase the 6700 over the ZV if i did buy a Sony. Another excellent video as usually thank you!
Thanks for the video. I recently purchased the ZVE 10 II and the OP3 Creator Kit. I also invested in the Sigma 30mm 1.4 and some ND and Polarizing filters for both so that I have greater options and flexibility for shooting. Looking at purchasing a gimbal for the ZVE 10 II. I see you used a Zhiyun. I am considering the DJI RS 3 Mini but the gimbal is not updated yet to be compatible with the ZVE 10 II. Should I wait or is the Zhiyun a better choice? Your thoughts? Thanks
Requirements: Live streaming, vlogging and maybe some indoor talk infront of camera type videos... Which one will be better? I am considering OP3 but no blue effect plus overheating for long recording seems to be the problem
I got op3 for a few days. I haven't had a chance to familiarize myself with it properly yet, but I miss a zebras or at least a histogram on the screen to best use the dynamic range for later editing
I was thinking of the Pocket 3 for weddings. At least one part. On top of my photo camera to record and photograph the bride walking down the isle. One person instead of two. Would this be a good solution?
I’d say ZV-E10 but both cameras have their different use for different applications. Have you tried taking my camera quiz? This may get you in the right direction.
Great comparison Joe! Unfortunately, I upgraded my Original ZVE-10 to an FX30 and now I need another camera. As cool as the Osmo is, I think I am going to go with the ZV MKII. I need a little more control than I can get with the Osmo. Mostly in the Aperture and Focal length areas. It's WAY better than the old ones though!
Hey, thanks for watching and the compliment. I totally understand why you lean towards the ZV-E10 II. Jumping from the original ZV-E10 to the FX30 is a big leap, so you're probably craving those extra features and controls. The Osmo Pocket 3 is awesome for its size and stabilization, but it definitely can't match the flexibility of a dedicated camera like the ZV-E10 II. I'm glad you found the comparison helpful in making your decision. Let me know if you have any other questions once you get your hands on the new camera
@@thefilmalliance I love your content bud. You’re one of the people that got me started doing my own channel so thanks. I’ll let you know for sure when I get my new one. Currently using the A7IV & FX30 as my A & B cams.
Great video! Looking at the low light video comparison, there's no doubt for me the OP3 is the better choice. Living in Sweden, with it's dark winters, this alone makes the OP3 unbeatable for the price :)
Osmo pocket 3: Stabilization, form factor, versatile and better app. Zve10 ii : Photography + Better videos with more control with lenses, swappable Battery and bit more sturdy. If i had to pick one i would go with the Osmo pocket 3 as it is cheaper and versatile.. And who knows about future these cameras may get replaced with something new.
True, and great point. We dont know when the battery in the Osmo Pocket 3 will start going bad and when it does, you'll have to replace the entire camera
Hey sir Which should i choose for my first camera I have three option 1. Sony zve 10 with 16 to 50 kit lens(600$) 3 to 4 month used 2. Canon M50 mark ii with 50mm f1.8 stm lens with adapter (565 $) 3 month used 3. Sony a6400 with kit lens(16 to 50) (22k shuter count) 600$ I want to make some decent cinematic videos and short film and make videos of my arts , nature and travelling And do some photos too My budget is super tight so i cant go higher then 600$ Please help me on this
Hmm, great question. Off the cuff I’d say ZV-E10. I created a “Which Camera Should I Buy” course and a free camera quiz on that exact topic to help you figure out which camera is best for what you are using it for. Have you looked into either of those resources yet?
When considering price, quality, ease of use, user experience (for non-professionals), portability, and color purity-especially at night-the Sony products fall short compared to the DJ3. Despite Sony's strong brand reputation and marketing, many competing companies offer superior image quality and video performance at lower prices. It's important to explore and judge based on personal experience rather than relying solely on Sony's marketing or recommendations from friends.
Thanks for that. Like the Osmo 4K /120 capabilities that would match up well with something like a Panasonic G9ii as a B-Camera for video purposes without breaking the bank. I take it though 10bit only applies to 4K /60 and under. Stuff I'm considering but hey - I just recently shot a evening Fire Dance with an older E-P5 Oly and my Motorola Power G8 - that was interesting.😁 Heck, maybe I just grab a second hand G9 with the Osmo and keep it around 1K € for the combo.

Bro, your content is very wonderful and there is no comparison to it, especially in the Arab world. Please support the Arabic translation or the Arabic voice. There is no one like you in the Arab world who presents this content. I would be very grateful if you did that.
R50 if you want to take photos mainly and have a backlog of EF lenses. ZVE10II if you mainly shoot videos, and buying new lenses. It smokes the R50 in terms of video capability, heat management, and lens options. Its AF also seems to be better.
Both are good in their own way. Indoor, static on tripod, OP3 can't beat ZV-E10 when it pairs with fast prime lenses. Yet, being outside walk and talk, the compactness and buildin gimball, OP3 will beat ZV-E10.
The op3 still got crappy skin tones, looks like a cellphone camera because it kinda is. For more true skin colors the Sony seems like the best option. Buy both, one for mobile stuff and one for pro stuff. Nice vid, editing and comparison was great
Interesting review, but please drop comparison shots from less expensive alternatives like Sony ZV-E10 into the mix. Maybe separate OP3 vs E10mk2, then OP3 vs iPhone16PRO will get you more views.. but at least combine them in one quick overview video later. Plus, it's really frustrating when you offered to view two 1/4 size of screen pictures, instead of making both FULL screen + 200% zoom, leaving talking head floating in between if needed. Would bring much more value and appreciation to video (work you've done for this all).
Thanks for the feedback. These style videos are what my audience prefers. Adding additional comparisons could become jarring and overwhelming to the viewer. I did include drastically larger full screen shots into the mix later in the video.
@@thefilmalliance Thank you for reply, your videos show how kind and close to people you are. Immediately after I wrote that comment, I found existing OP3 vs E10 video of yours and got a smile on my face "this guy already did it for us" :)
Not sure about how this review is weighted. I have the Pocket 3 creator combo which still is less than you having to buy multiple lens, mics and gimbal. So you are really looking at 3k or more for Sony vs maybe 1k if you get two mics and some lens mods for the pocket 3. If you are just shooting content as a solo artist then pocket 3 all day. As it stand now you can just get something on the used market if you want to have a higher mega pixel and interchange lens. I actually sold my Z8 because I wasn’t even booking gigs and wanted to just get my money out of it and I have been shooting Nikon for 20ys. I say rent if you need stuff for clients at this point for paid gigs and get a used to save money.
Ok, I’m watching this on my iPad, and I don’t understand why do you think Zac-e10 better in low light, for me it’s opposite, also 1500+ usd and 519 it’s 3 times the cost! Not to mention that creative combo on Dji gives you extra battery and very!! Good Bluetooth microphone. And pocket size camera for 500 bucks or whole setup is day and night for traveling. After all years of searching the best gear I understand one key point I’m using only that gear which is comfortable to use period. If you are pro you need full frame, no apsc, if you doing video for yourself or family DJI is king. Not even sure why you compare those 2. It’s the same when you compare Toyota Prius and tundra, 3x cost, tundra is heavy duty truck with pluses and minuses but they are different products for different people and different uses. P.s. Dji have face tracking feature and for single person vlogin or video when you don’t have to pay to much attention on screen is winner compare to ANY camera on the market.
I don't get it. Point by point it's apples to oranges. They mostly serve different needs. Need to do photo work like HDR and portraits, only ZV-E10. Need interchangeable lenses, only ZV. Need gyro data for action shots while riding on a Onewheel? Only ZV. Need easy to use vlog and walk snd don't care about fine control? Sure, get the Pocket.
The Osmo Pocket 3 replaced EVERYTHING for us. We're traveling the country filming interviews now. My C70, C200, R6II, DJI Ronin S Gimbal and lenses ALL sit around and collect DUST now. I'm sick to my stomach.
There is no comparison at all. It is absolutely impossible to use the Sony ZV-E10 II when traveling with an additional gimbal. Only if there is a professional task to shoot with such a huge structure.
I really enjoy your videos on the pocket 3. You put so much effort into practically testing the camera, while making it look really professional. Well done man! What are your thoughts for using the pocket 3 as a camera on the side while making nature/hiking videos? Just for the quick b roll shots of the environment like close up shots of a tree, plants, rocks, water, etc. I'm worried if the pocket 3's focus modes will suffice for this.
Hey there, thank you very much for the kind words. I think the Osmo Pocket 3 was made for exactly what you're doing. You could use the continuous autofocus mode or switch it to single focus mode for various shots that require both focus types. Hope this helps and please let me know what you decide.
It’s not bias it’s physics. The Sony is a proper camera and larger sensor. Also, how can he be bias when they use the same sensors from Sony. The 1’’ type sensor has been used in Sony pocket cameras from the RX and ZV line. He does great reviews and give you only the information from his experiences. I had every pocket and action from DJI since the beginning. What I learned is I bought 5 DJI products (Pocket & Action) and a ton of accessories all totaling over $2000. I stopped that foolishness and opted for the Sony ZVE1 for the same price. Understand sensor sizes before calling him bias.
Unfortunately, you're a Sony fanboy... You could have spare batteries for the pocket 3 as well... Want to carry 3 extra lenses and a gimbal for the sony. Your comparisons are flawed.
I do like Sony, it was my first big purchase camera. I saved up for quite some time to get it and really grew in my love for video with it. I try to compare all cameras with a fair and clear lens giving all pros and cons. I take what I do very seriously.
This man has clear bias in favour of sony zv e10 however pocket 3 is better considering price, weight, image quality and not to mention you do get extra batteries with pocket 3..
We bought several additional batteries for the Osmo 3 at purchase… so I am confused. 🤨 They are little packs you can clip onto the bottom and extend the power.

Live streaming, vlogging and maybe some indoor talk infront of camera type videos...
Which one will be better?
I am considering OP3 but no blue effect plus overheating for long recording seems to be the problem
get the sony, + sigma 18-50 2.8 / a wide angle prime for indoor shoots. You can also run it indefinitely on direct power for livestreaming
Osmo Pocket 3 would be a good option but ZV-E10 II with solid lens maybe better for indoors.
I second this. Good call
I got op3 for a few days. I haven't had a chance to familiarize myself with it properly yet, but I miss a zebras or at least a histogram on the screen to best use the dynamic range for later editing
Nice! Did you see I made an Osmo Pocket 3 course? I think you'd find it super helpful starting out and getting the most use out of it.
I was thinking of the Pocket 3 for weddings. At least one part. On top of my photo camera to record and photograph the bride walking down the isle. One person instead of two. Would this be a good solution?
Hey there, yes I think so but the Insta 360 X4 may be your better bet because you can reframe the shot in post
I am planning to shoot village cooking video.. Which camera is better.. OP3 or zve-10?
Currently using the A7IV & FX30 as my A & B cams.
im a havent begun yet cuz deep down im a little scared that i wont be good. im trying to learn so many things at once
Please don't say that I was there, but you CAN and SHOULD take that first step. You will thank me in a few years
Great video!
@@thefilmallianceIt's not possible to send it to dji for repairing?
Hey sir
Which should i choose for my first camera
I have three option
1. Sony zve 10 with 16 to 50 kit lens(600$) 3 to 4 month used
2. Canon M50 mark ii with 50mm f1.8 stm lens with adapter (565 $) 3 month used
3. Sony a6400 with kit lens(16 to 50) (22k shuter count) 600$
I want to make some decent cinematic videos and short film and make videos of my arts , nature and travelling
And do some photos too
My budget is super tight so i cant go higher then 600$
Please help me on this
Hmm, great question. Off the cuff I’d say ZV-E10. I created a “Which Camera Should I Buy” course and a free camera quiz on that exact topic to help you figure out which camera is best for what you are using it for. Have you looked into either of those resources yet?
Lately I been getting in trouble with my wife because your videos.. 😂 keep the good work.
Oh man send your wife my apologies haha (glad to have you here)
When considering price, quality, ease of use, user experience (for non-professionals), portability, and color purity-especially at night-the Sony products fall short compared to the DJ3. Despite Sony's strong brand reputation and marketing, many competing companies offer superior image quality and video performance at lower prices. It's important to explore and judge based on personal experience rather than relying solely on Sony's marketing or recommendations from friends.
Would you recommend ZVe10ii as a beginner camera who uses for light video and photo shooting for travel reels and photos with mid range budget?
Yes but paired with what lens?
@@thefilmalliance Is kit lens viable for newbie? First camera
Yes it is
Goated comparison
Thanks Always top 👍👌👍👌
1 question what is the sony app on the phone ???
Thanks, it’s called the Sony Creators app
@@thefilmalliance thanks 🙏🙏🙏
Would love dji to update the osmo pocket 3 to be able to take 5-10 seconds shots.
Dannggg, maybe on the Osmo Pocket 4
Dji should make photography cameras
That would be cool. Do you have the Osmo Pocket 3 ?
@thefilmalliance no, waiting for their mirrorless replaceable lens camera
If I need the ZV-E10ii, I'd spend a bit extra for a6700 or FX30.
Thanks for that.
Like the Osmo 4K /120 capabilities that would match up well with something like a Panasonic G9ii as a B-Camera for video purposes without breaking the bank. I take it though 10bit only applies to 4K /60 and under. Stuff I'm considering but hey - I just recently shot a evening Fire Dance with an older E-P5 Oly and my Motorola Power G8 - that was interesting.😁
Heck, maybe I just grab a second hand G9 with the Osmo and keep it around 1K € for the combo.
Huh? Is it just me or I found the low light video quality on the OP3 better?! Looks less shaky and on my phone it looks somewhat cleaner…
It’s not just you. The Osmo Pocket 3 is a beast. Do you shoot professionally or as a hobby?
@@thefilmalliance not professionally. I don’t get paid for the videos I make, but enjoy making them, I am trying to post at least once a week, and enjoying it so far, not getting much traffic on my content or account, but oh well, we do this for the fun of it too, right? Besides, I enjoy showing beautiful places ☺️
Bro, your content is very wonderful and there is no comparison to it, especially in the Arab world. Please support the Arabic translation or the Arabic voice. There is no one like you in the Arab world who presents this content. I would be very grateful if you did that.
Please make a video r50 vs zv-e10 ii....
Dang, that would be good. Okay will add to the ever growing list
Well for the OP3 you can just have a power bank with you 😅 And that is way better than having to buy and charge 4-5 batteries.
I prefer P3 vid looks sharper and more details compare to ZV. In low light condition hands down P3 win
Many people, I included, enjoy this video, mate.
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I did that one as well. Happy you found my channel - thanks
We can use DSLR or Mirrorless for years but I am afraid we can use or Dji pocket 3 is that much durable so that we can use it for years..
Camera B is OP3. The night video of SONY Mirrorless is miserable or totally useless.
I was surprised how good the Osmo Pocket 3 did when comparing the night shots. Did you pickup the Osmo Pocket 3 ?
In a perfect world, Dji would just use the camera system from the Mavic 3 pro.
That’s a great idea. For those who don’t know please tell what the differences are between the Osmo Pocket 3 and the Mavic 3
@thefilmalliance The Mavic 3 pro has a triple camera system that includes a 24mm micro4/3, medium tele, 10x optical zoom long tele.
With pocket 3 u can always buy multiple grip and switch it out when 1 dies.
Thats a god point
So good bro
Thanks man. I could have used that case you got because I dropped the Osmo Pocket 3 yesterday
@@thefilmalliance strangely dropped mine yesterday also. The case saved it
Zv-e10 mk2 with no IBIS for vloggers that don't move at all....As a a6600 owner it's really sad. Btw the a6600 ibis is not great at all
Osmo Pocket 3 please
The Osmo Pocket 3 replaced EVERYTHING for us. We're traveling the country filming interviews now. My C70, C200, R6II, DJI Ronin S Gimbal and lenses ALL sit around and collect DUST now.
I'm sick to my stomach.
Wow
There is no comparison at all.
It is absolutely impossible to use the Sony ZV-E10 II when traveling with an additional gimbal.
Only if there is a professional task to shoot with such a huge structure.
from your video Pocket 3 has better at low light
Yea it definitely does perform better
DJI killed the game
It’s over
just buy power bank for pocket 3
The DSLR and mirrorless camera's body structures are total outdated and good for photo only, no good for video. For video, get DJI Pocket 3.
That’s a good point. Form factor of Osmo Pocket 3 wins but some people like that traditional body size and tactile button use
Guess I’ll return my zv-e10m1 and lenses I just bought 😅
@@thefilmalliance I have one OP3. Its excellent 4K/120FPS image blowed me out of belief.
Yes exactly
wait, the ZV-E10 with proper lenses will out perform the Osmo Pocket 3. What lenses?
I went with zv-e10 II for its flexibility with lenses. Osmo would be nice but I know in the long run I would want to try other setup
I like that. Thinking long term and investment wise
The pocket 4 is going to be insane when it comes out!
Agree, but when?
The ZV-E10 II is better for low light and the Osmo Pocket 3 for everyday shooting and B-roll
That’s a good way to put it
No one should buy pocket 3 ...
Please explain
@@thefilmalliance This product has manufacturing defects and may break with daily use.
I haven’t heard of this
Your quiz does not work
Please explain, what didn't work about it?
Unfortunately, you're a Sony fanboy... You could have spare batteries for the pocket 3 as well... Want to carry 3 extra lenses and a gimbal for the sony. Your comparisons are flawed.
I do like Sony, it was my first big purchase camera. I saved up for quite some time to get it and really grew in my love for video with it. I try to compare all cameras with a fair and clear lens giving all pros and cons. I take what I do very seriously.
pocket 3 has cleaner low light video.
I noticed that on some shots. It could have been the lens on the ZV-E10 II
This man has clear bias in favour of sony zv e10 however pocket 3 is better considering price, weight, image quality and not to mention you do get extra batteries with pocket 3..
The future of photography and videography is on our mobile phones...I see it coming 🫡
Hey there
We bought several additional batteries for the Osmo 3 at purchase… so I am confused. 🤨 They are little packs you can clip onto the bottom and extend the power.
