I was 30 when this was released, I turned 61 last Sunday and all I did on my Birthday was listen to Skid Row, Queensryche, Faith no More and too many other bands to list.
I'm now 30 again.
No! U are 18! Lol
@@vivishammas6459 18 and (into metal for) life...
Yes, during the time where grunge rock dominated and was peeking, Skid Row held their own. This song is an underrated masterpiece.🧐❤
It
Peaking
well, yeah but listen to those guitars and the song structure. Very grunge driven. The guitar tone and approach are very Soundgardenish
This album is, for me, an underrated masterpiece...
Their Best Album!
underrated album for sure like waiting for the punchline from Extreme that same year
Skid Row Rock!!!!!!
It's my favorite heavy metal album.

Into Another
[Bolan, Snake]
Slowly I heal the love that's found its way
Onto another path in times of change
Crossing a bridge unknown
Hoping our strength will hold
Should they both let go then let me lay
.....Let me lay
[Chorus]
Show me a sign
To a light that shines
One direction into another
Sheltered peace of mind
Somewhere I lost a piece of memory
Somehow I know my legs will carry me
Searching for circles end
Hoping the wounds will mend
Should this scar, then it was meant to be
[Repeat Chorus 3x]
❤❤❤😍😍
Guitar solo part probably the most harmony in metal history..
Rob really shines on this record, his drumming is freaking great.
oh I thought I was alone loving the song so much for the drums
This must be a song that wasn't on the US album. The first thing I recognized when it came on was the sound, and beat of the drums.
Yep,beautiful timing.
Yeah, same here, I love the drums, sound, timing and above all, what he does with the double pedal after the guitar solo, just great
He's definitely stretching his abilities, delving more into odd meters and showing considerable chops on "Subhuman Race", while still playing for the song. Rob always had great skill on the drums, miss him in Skid Row.
I’m 51. I am definitely a fan of 80s metal. I’m somewhat baffled by comments about this sounding like “grunge.” To me, this work is a natural progression from the harder sounds of Slave to the Grind. I think these guys were influenced by Pantera and the harder sounds going on at the time. And I wouldn’t say that Skid Row’s earlier stuff was light-hearted! 18 and Life was pretty intense, too, right? ;). To me, this song is haunting and beautiful. I’d put Baz right up there with the best vocalists of all-time, and Rachel Bolan & Dave “The Snake” Sabo are criminally underrated song writers.
thank god , someone with a brain on youtube speaks up !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with u \m/
I'm also 51 lol
♥️
Age is just a number Sir...
Rock till u r gone for good
🤘😍
Yes dead right my man! That's all I'm gonna say on the matter! But I absolutely love AIC and they are not grunge they're their own style nirvana was grunge. PanterA my favorite band.
Can we all agree this song - along with Breakin Down - are rock masterpieces to never be outdone??
I totally agree 100%
Absolutely yes
Damn straight
yep!!!
This is a great album. The close minded fans who expected them to put out an album sounding like the debut in 1995 clearly think the band existed in a time vaccum.
What's odd though is that at least two members of Skid Row thinks it's a shit album. Bolan explicitly called it that a few years ago, and Bach carries the same sentiment. But there are plenty of fans that think it's great. I do, for one.
Skidrow is so underrated
I never knew this album existed until ten years later sadly. 😢
*Are* underrated.
And it's Skid Row, not Skidrow.
@@ValiantWrestling woow do you feel better now buddy?😒
God bless you
@@yuridejan LOL
I know this didn't get the love it deserved, but in my mind, Skid Row and Megadeth were rare examples of awesome 80s bands that managed the transition to the 90s quite well.
I havnt listened to this song in nearly 25 years. This song is brilliant.....went totally under the radar. IMO Sub-human Race was a masterpiece, great songwriting, performance and the production was killer too. Hearing this now it sounds as fresh today as it did then.
excelente!
I've always felt that if Skid Row debuted in 85 instead of 89 they would have been a bigger band
Bach would have been 17 then. If they had he probably wouldn't have been their lead singer, and honestly he was why they were so good. Since he wrote or co wrote so many of their songs they wouldn't have made the music they did either.
@@PittsburghSportsFan35🤦♂️
I doubt they wouldve lasted til 89’ if they debut in 85'
@@PittsburghSportsFan35 Bach was rarely ever a songwriter for Skid Row. Dave Sabo and Rachel Bolan were the primary songwriters throughout their career.
Que diferença teria de 85 pra 89... É cada viagem...🤦
This shows they were so versatile. Everyone’s so divided when it comes to music. Get over yourself and just listen, maybe you’ll realize music transcends all boundaries. Rock n roll!!!!!!!
His voice says it all
Love everything about Skid Row.
Same -especially the time when Sebastian was the singer. I don't want to sound creepy, but his little giggles during singing were sexy and arodable at the same time. xD
I'm not sure if there are more songs where he laughs, but Big Guns is one of them.
Bands like Old Skid Row and Emerson Suicide are just incredible.
me too sweetheart
Last kick ass Skid Row album Subhuman Race ! Song is killer also ..
Such an amazing song and slept on album...skid row progressed so much from album to album..who knows what could have been
November 15 marked the 10 year anniversary of the death of my best friend. The song’s lyrics remind me of him, and how much I miss him. The opening lyrics (“Crossing a bridge unknown”) and the chorus (“Show me a sign”) capture my feelings for him and my desire to talk to him one last time so vividly that I can’t help but cry every time I listen to it. And I’m a 51 year old headbanger! RIP, Jeff Jewell. I miss you and those simpler times so much, my Brother.
I'm sorry for your loss.....
I know the empty feeling you feel even after all these years.
It'll never go away so, just keep him in you heart and it won't feel as empty.
Feel good knowing , he's watching over you.
Again, my sympathies.....
Awesome song. This should have been an huge album during this time.
Shame they couldn't get along ,
I could only imagine the records they could of made one after another.
They grew with each album until the split.
On their own , you can tell they wasn't nearly as good as they were when they were together.
Maybe someday, they can get past what made them hate each other and put out one more great album. 🤞🤞🤟🤟
The voice !
Sebastian is so cute😘 I'm so melt when looking at Sebastian bach
Never noticed the final tumble in the bass line before. This is a great song... great guitars and bass. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
The best Skid Row album imo
One of the best songs ever.
Whole album is masterpiece.

Love this song with all my heart
I never heard this song before or knew it existed.
Me too. Thought I knew all of Skid Rows tracks. Where has this been hiding.
Pleastendub People can shit talk Grunge for all I care but Alice in Chains are just as masterful as Skid Row.
Me, too! I just heard it for the first friggin’ time earlier this week (11/15/20)! For me, this is like a NEW Skid Row album with Baz back on vocals. I LOVE this so much!
I remember it when it came out. I'm pretty old. But haven't heard it in about 20 years. Sounds as good as I remembered it.
Better late than never,yes?
3:21 - it may be the grunge era, but they couldn't resist a little throwback sound here.
Perfect.
I think that's just Sebastian being Sebastian.
This is one of those great albums missed because of the grunge revolution
I believe they could have mixed in with all of that revolution. Bands like Soundgarden and Alice in chains were similar.
@@jamescooper5842 Cuz of Nirvana Banana. I always hated Nirvana. . Didn't get what all the craze was about.
@@carrie8541 It's all music. Certain music styles typically go away because of corporate entities. I always hear a lot of whining from music fans about who killed their favorite style. If you're truly talented you will last a long time & know how to stay current. The Beatles, Floyd, Black Sabbath, the Rolling Stones, guns and roses, U2, Ozzy Osbourne, and many other bands have survived through music changes. I totally respect your opinion but today you have a lot more choices with Internet and technology. If you listen to the radio in your car or home stereo there is nothing good out there. With all of the garbage they put out today you would definitely be happy just to hear one nirvana b side. Just to be clear, I'm not partial to naming any type of rock a particular trending name for a genre. 1990s music was just rock 'n roll just like before. So basically it's all about the people in control of the money that dictate what's popular.
@Pleastendub No but they survived their musical hey-day by continuing to appeal to future generations. They're saying that some artists are timeless.
Who cares. Just listen to what you like
Bach was the face of skid row he brought all the bangers to the table 🤘🏻 crazy how after he left the band hasn’t had any hit songs …..definitely would like to see a reunion but Bach has proven he can do a solo career and still rock as hard without them
I get emotional listening to this song
Daniele Rock Greeting from Slovakia 🇸🇰 Bratislava. Europe. Keep rockin
A Pure Musical Vocal Gift, and it's not even all unwrapped
What a great song!
Fantastic,brilliant drumming.
"Somewhere I lost a piece of memory
Somehow I know my legs will carry me
Searchin' for circles end
Hoping the wounds will mend
Should this scar, then it was meant to be"
All I hear in this song is Bolans Bass doing that climbing -the-ladder like sound & of course Baz's killer vocals.
I absolutely adore this band sooooo much
One of their best and under rated!
Skid Row meine absolute Lieblingsband aus den 80er Jahren.
So sad that when they kicked sebastian out, the band skidrow has gotten out of the rock map.
And Sebastian Bach stayed on the rock map...funny isn't it
Well the true is that Sebastian Bash was a pain in the ass , with he's drinking problem, the whole thing was freaking mess, the members of the band couldn't stand him
I hope Sebastian change his ways
I'm in Mexico and I remember hearing this song in '95. I recorded it on tape and never knew who played it or anything else about it. I had been looking for this song on Spotify for 5 or 6 years and according to my memory, I swore it was FAITH NO MORE. I searched song by song on every Mike Patton album (and the 4,000 projects he has done) looking for this song. Finally, I found the old cassette, listened to the lyrics, searched and was greatly surprised to see that it was SKID ROW. It didn't sound at all like the skid row of '91...Does anyone else notice FNM influence in this song? the music, the voice, everything!
They were all playing similar genre, but the bass and the voice are unique to Skid Row. 90s are great times
It might sound like a Grunge song but it definitely has the 80s playing style and stuff....
It's weird to hear all the late 80's rock/metal bands go through their "grunge-era" phase. Everything got less fun and just more heavy-hearted.
The 90´s or rather more specific the era from 1994 to the 00´s were a time when everyone got depressive af and made boring af music.
Absolutely right! This album was such a downer overall. I miss the piercing, unrivalled distorted guitars, the unrestrained energy, the sharp production, and the relative lack of pretence that Slave To The Grind brought to the table. 25 years later, it has not matured, not one aspect has improved - 'Subhuman Race' remains a disappointment in their catalogue.
I agree that its weird and 99.9% of it is garbage minus this song and motley crues if i die tomorrow...except MC song was later
Saw Sebastian Bach on a snowy night in January of "96 at small venue in NJ (Birch Hill) . He didn't play any of this sshit. Played all the old songs. Was a great night !
@@giantsfan8872 funny facts if i die tomorrow is actually a leftover song from SIMPLE PLAN's recording sessions for their latest album, "Still Not Getting Any..." The common denominator is Bob Rock, who produced the CRÜE's. BTW that song from skid row (into another) was also produced by Bob Rock
From a music stand point this album represented a very big change in direction from the previous one. Many things were simplified and as a result many fans wrote this off as a poor record. However as a fan this album really grew on me to the point where I consider it the second best record they ever made over the first record. Also, I would listen to this any day over 98 percent of the drivel coming out of the band since... just my opinion. I may be bias but to me Skid Row should have rebranded after parting with Bach. The name carries ultra high expectations that they have failed to approach since.
Great songwriting,musicianship,etc... Skids were and still are great writers... I have always thought that the band had different avenues to cover as a whole... They really stood above the whole glam bit for years. Gritty and anthem is on every sitting of an album
Album was before its time.
This ia my favorite Skid Row album.
1of my top 5 skid row jams
when the grunge sound dominated everything.... 😍
They certainly had the chops to pull off anything. They were a favorite from the hair band days.
he maybe a bad ass person but bach has an amazing voice and scream love this song and a lot more on sub human race album
i love this song❤❤
Essa música é muito boa, especial e desperta emoções...
Breakin' Down também, as melhores do álbum.

Love this album..taste grunge
Sebastian could sing the recipe for a shit sandwich and it would sound amazing.
True fact.
Yep, my hero 😍🎤
Do you have that recipe by chance?
Oh, yes. Possibly the most underrated singer of my time. His voice is amazing.
Yes he could
This album influenced me a lot musically. Great stuff from Skid Row at the wrong time.
Holy shit!! That Snake solo is so Badass!
Not only a killer Snake solo, it also kind of went against their usual MO. of Scotty doing the slower more melodic note bendy solos!
this song I get emotional 😭😭😭💝💝
Underrated album.
Timeless. 1995->>2019
Os incríveis anos 90,o skid row matava a pau

Great bass/drum lines
Not another singer to me has his range love this dude his voice foeom child hood reminds me of better times
welp. Axl Rose does, but I still personally like Sebastian's voice more. I've listened to this band for almost 14 years. And oh, i forgot to mention, I am almost 14 :D
By the way, I'm listening 18 and life at the same time I'm writing this :)

@@CLEMIN3M haha, i'm just proud of my father who always sang and played me these older songs, because if he didn't, i think i still wouldn't have found the music that is right for me (if that makes sense). Because music has always been a huge part of me and always will :)

KILLER TUNE!
An amazing band. Some very nice tracks. Not Grunge though, but I do like Grunge. The best looking front man I would say.
I saw the band Taste, so I am older but still Rockin man.

Great video/song ! Now you need to upload "my enemy" and "breakin' down"

Would love to have a guy like Rick Beato to dismantle this song and tell me about why its so good. love the tempo changes and that this song has an odd timing signature

This sounds like good old rock n roll.

Me encanta este disco, sonido oscuro y muy buenas melodías.
CLASSIC
My favorite song from Sebastian Bach!
I remember taking Reese to a Hilton Hotel, they said children under a certain age couldn't !!! We went from a hot spa to the swimming pool...
Rock n roll, for all skid row fanz
Man, Alice in Chains really did dominate the mid 90's aesthetic. This shit looks right out of the Dirt album.
Absolutely true, and not only for that era. Compare, for example, the video of Pearl Jam's Life Wasted with Them Bones
These fellas are exceptional musicians.
He is definitely the man for this job! Without Sebastian Bach I don't even look at Skid Row. And I fucking love that band
You should get over it man, there's no doubt he was incredible but he wasn't 100% responsible for the music was he. It's a lot more than great vocals. Eric did an amazing job, saw them live and it was unthinkably good. Such a shame Eric has also left now as of last week. excited to hear female vocals on the greats now though.
