Great video, thank you! I am a professional photographer, living in New Zealand. I just got the 13 Ultra, Global version. It is awesome! The camera grip is fantastic as well.
vignetting is a character of the lens where light falls off at the corners and is worse with a telphoto lens with many lens elements ,but to my eye this is so light it's not worth worrying about.
I have the s22 ultra and I regret buying it. I am coming from the oneplus 8 pro and the pics from its camera is arguably better. One of my biggest annoyance with s22 ultra is the fact that it lacks multi directional PDAF. Because of this I am limited with how artistic my shots can be. The camera is only capable of focusing it the center of the screen. For a $1000+ flagship smartphone lacking this simple feature is absolutely ridiculous.
@@deathdoorit's definitely in the top 3 maybe the oppo find X6 and the Huawei P60 pro are better. I guess Xiaomi decided against however much $$$ Dxomark wanted
@@deathdoorWe can all agree that this is Xiaomi's best camera in a phone. Right? Well, Dxomark thinks otherwise. Mi 11 Ultra from years ago is still being ranked higher...💀
On the DXO mark, they are looking at the sharpness & natural color of pictures just off the phone. However those photos like from Huawei P60 and Oppo Find X6 Pro comes with too much picture sharpening. If you export them into photoshop, you will see the sharpening effect. With the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, you get a close SLR like photo when viewed in photoshop which allows you to edit the photo much like any SLR photo. Now if you compare the processed photos from P60 vs Photoshop edit of 13 Ultra ,P60 picture is like a typical phone, while you wont be able to tell those from 13 Ultra as taken with a phone. That is a big difference when you need to use the photos for commercial photography due to magnification of sharpened image (eg. double edge line). With 13 Ultra, you get the nice falloff blending of the edges with background bokeh typically seen with SLR but criticized by phone users as looking less sharp when viewed on screen compared to other phones. Another point is you get much more natural detail in 13 ultra photo vs P60 or Find X6 Pro as both phones tend to brighten darker shadow areas artificially too much making you confused as where the lighting or light source is coming from but loved by typical phone users.
Only thing holding me back from picking up a 13 Ultra is that FF camera. I don't mind not having 4k video, but those selfie snaps are like taken by a 2010 Nokia phone, overly bright without detail definition (they need to get rid of those tiny 32mp quadbayer sensors)
@abc_cba xiaomi was mostly thinking about the back cameras.for me I really don't mind about the front cameras since I barely used them.but they should at least did a better job on the front camera.
I'm super happy with video from 13 Ultra front cam with Open Cam. The near 4K video sharpness & quality is way better than the native camera app. I use the native app for back lens & Open Cam for selfies & ff 4K video with high bit rates.
Problem with Xiaomi is their lack of updates. 1 year after and the 12S Ultra still can't give justice to that 1inch sensor. Will buy a Xiaomi again but only if they also prioritize updates. As to the DXO mark rating. Xiaomi though does not deserve those very low rankings but won't be at the top also. IMHO

I agree with DXOMark's 14th place score which is based on them taking photos with the default Xiaomi camera app. Xiaomi's own camera app is not tuned very good by Xiaomi. Xiaomi's own camera app has photo exposure problems under certain situations. Also people's faces look over smoothened and lack detail when photos are taken indoors. There are many other issues to. But with BigKaka's Google GCam version 8.4 app these issues can be fixed and the resulting photos are superior when compared to the photos that were taken with Xiaomi's own camera app.

Why no one shooting with manual settings? This phone is the best phone
I'm Xiaomi all the way. It looks like the video stabilisation is eat down by the Zenfone 10.
LOL! DXOMark.. More like DXOPay.. 😂
I want this phone so bad 😭😭😭
Xiaomi 13 Ultra is the king phone of 2023.
period.
Xiaomi's 13 ultra back cam is really good but I would appreciate if you could do a comparison with p60 pro😀
i have the p60 pro, one thing i noticed that huawei uses software enhanced output than xiaomi 13 ultra, like what you see in the screen then snap, you get same output.. while in p60 pro, most of the time its enhanced by software.
@@slapsticks666 wow!! are you satisfied with the overall experience???
@@romershrader2228 yeah good enough camera, but lacks good filters
I have 13 pro and I am disappointed with the camera quality. I should've gone for this instead 😢
The pictures shown looks nice. Even much better than huawei imo.
Best tech youtuber 👍
I agree with DXOMark's 14th place score which is based on them taking photos with the default Xiaomi camera app. Xiaomi's own camera app is not tuned very good by Xiaomi. Xiaomi's own camera app has photo exposure problems under certain situations. Also people's faces look over smoothened and lack detail when photos are taken indoors. There are many other issues to. But with BigKaka's Google GCam version 8.4 app these issues can be fixed and the resulting photos are superior when compared to the photos that were taken with Xiaomi's own camera app.
Super video ❤
does the china rom have the original color pro as well??
yes
watching from my huawei p60 pro, my phone process in gallery like 2-3 seconds 😢
This or the Vivo X100sPro?
Is the battery better than the Pixel 7 Pro?
i dun trust dxomark since 2 years ago. they use vibrant mode for review.
Why no night shots 😢.
Maybe part 2.......
Hi
What are you doing with this phone after testing?
Sell to me
I can't afford to buy a new 13 ultra/Xiaomi.😢
I don't know, before he takes the shot it looks great, after the shot it doesn't look as sharp
Processed by RUclips hence dropped in quality. It's sharp in real life. Can check my Facebook. I uploaded there.
dostum bu telefon s23 ultra dan iyi mi? cevabını bekliyorum
Huawie best camera phone ever ❤
Китайские друзья, подскажите какой смартфон лучше фотографирует xiaomi 13 ultra или samsung s23 ultra ..
бери xiaomi у него зенсор лутше, самсунг лапата
The place itself already have super aesthetic vibe
Where did u get the global version??
It's out everywhere.
@@LimReviews Then why can I only find the CN version?
This camera has a sick phone
I use this phone since 1 month now, and i must say it is beautiful, the colors the photos so astatic and colors that i like. I use the china version and iam happy with it. Switched from the 14 pro max. And i dont regret it. I also use as my second phone the x6 pro and i will choose for me personally for photos the 13 ultra. I love the Leica style little bit more.
Ps. Its not are hate against other brands all smartphones this year are nice. Its only the taste of are person what he like more 😅
Really now, who is getting seriously Dxomark? 😂😅😅
