- This week, we take a look at some of the best light freighters in the galaxy, from Han Solo’s YT-1300 to Hera Syndulla’s VCX-100, and more. Sorry about any audio issues, but I tried clipping my lav mic to my lapel as intended instead of to a makeshift LEGO handle like I usually do and I think that made it sound muffled. Maybe you wouldn’t have noticed if I hadn’t pointed it out. Pretend you didn’t read this. Check out my new intro sequence instead. Oooh, fancy! It makes you want to subscribe so bad!

Ebon Hawk: am I a joke to you?
I thought about including it, but decided it was too small to be a light freighters and that it should be a courier or personal transport instead. Excellent ship though!
What about the red shifter
The ghost is definitely a sleeper pick, glad to see the recognition it's been getting because of Ahsoka. Good job on the logo too! Looks great
Thank you, I’m glad you like it! It was a lot of fun to make, so I might have to come up with a matching end screen, too.
@@RadioFreeCoruscantgreat video, they are one of my favourite class of ships.
The Ghost is by far a great ship and beautifully designed freighter
Han even said that The Ghost is better than the Falcon
I gotta say, the Kazellis - Class may not seem much but I think it has potential. A ship I'm keeping in mind for my fan fiction.
I think a Kazellis would be great for a fanfic because you’d have a lot more freedom in how you describe it and what you put in it since it hasn’t appeared in any visual media.
I believe Hondo has been the owner/used to be of every make and model ship out there😂
That first ship is like a Star Wars cargo variant MiG-31, a superheavy interceptor that's been built to carry a load for some reason
Yeah, it seems that way. Though perhaps the four guns at the tips of its outriggers are actually supposed to be antenna but got misidentified as weapons along the way.
The new logo sequence looks fantastic! Thank you for showing some love to the obscure ships, they deserve it. As always, fantastic Star Wars content ❤
I've always been drawn to the look of the GHTROC freighters.
Thanks, I’m glad you liked it! You’ll have to check out my latest video; I’m testing out a new blueprint graphic for the ships.
I like the Ghtroc freighters as well with their goofy turtle shape. I hope we get to see one in a game or show someday!
Yes, the new logo (and it's animation) is cool :)
Thank you!
The VT49 Decimator is a Freighter too, good job, thanks for the vid
I would give the Fondor Haulcraft the Party bus treatment from Solo
I would like to mention another great light freighter, the "Maka Eekai L4000", produced by Gallofree Yards, with the "Uhumele" from the DARK TIMES comics as the prime example! The L4000 was a very durable freighter who according to some sources could carry over 400 tons, had three decks and was as easily modifiable like any other freighter! It was also very spacious!
To watch this ship in a live show would be really great, or maybe someone will adapt the DARK TIMES comics to a TV series, which would give us insight in the time immediately after the Clone Wars, when the Empire was on the rise and begun to establish itself!
Some solid entries here!
Wish the YKL-37R Nova Courier got more love in the franchise. Was always one of my favorites haha
Ooh, I should have used that instead of the Kazellis! I would have had a lot more images to choose from that way. Maybe even game footage; I think it’s in a couple. Oh well, maybe I can do a sequel later. There’s no shortage of light freighters, after all…
I'm always going to be a huge fan of Corellian's only crate ship, the flying brick, YV-929.
agreed
The Star Wars price trends for starships is so inconsistent...it kind of drives me nuts
Great video!
Yeah, I kinda wonder sometimes if the prices are even worth mentioning since they’re so nonsensical.
The Kazellis class would make a good home. It already has a lot of the internal amenities that an adventurer would want (or just someone living in the violent universe that is the Star Wars Galaxy). You could even run a basic repair shop out of it in standard configuration.
Buy one used and use it as a home shop that can leave if the neighbourhood gets rough.
You can survive on occasional low risk cargo runs due to the small initial investment in buying it. And since it has its own machine shop, it's upkeep would be low if you could do repairs and maintenance yourself.
Or since it's only 50,000 credits brand new and can do 1000kmh in atmosphere, it makes a good base ship to be hotted up into a hero ship.
For far less than the cost of the base model of a lot of the other ships mentioned here.
apart from the YT line, The Muurian transport is my absolute fave
My favorite is the VCX-100. But I would also love to buy a YT 2400. A used one unfortunately
personally for me when a relatively small ship has a hangar is peak so the Phantom having a docked fighter is like a different flavour of hangar, peak
It would be really bad luck to have a YT-1300 in the same configuration as the Millennium Falcon.
You're a legitimate cargo hauler doing a run and next thing you know, Imperial ships are firing on you for no apparent reason.
My fav is The Ghost 😃 that's what I would have,I loved How Kanan would Cruise in a ship that's probably kooler than the Falcon, with your crew doing some positive dirtyy, with your young Jedi apprentice, and your hot Twi'Lek Soon to be bby mama 😋🤤😁
Id definitely be getting my own zH-40, a cool droid copilot like k2so or l3. Couple little mods here n there and I'd be a spice smuggling machine lolol
i have a spacemaster/yt1300 meld, basicly the front of the spacemaster has been replaced with the yt100
My favorites would have to be YT-1300, YT-2600, YT-2000, YT-2400BT, and VCX-100.
I'll agree with the Nova Courie, but my two favorites are the Ghtroc 720 and Citadel Cruiser.I'm not sure i could call it a freighter, though.
Woot, no Ebon Hawk?
The Ebon Hawk is excellent, but I didn’t want to use any that are too similar to the Millennium Falcon in name or shape because I’m saving them for a later video!
The new Logo looks great. I’m wondering how they tie their cargo down to keep it safe while they travel. Great selection otherwise.
Thanks! I’m not sure how they tie the cargo down usually. I think most cargo crates in Star Wars can be magnetized, so they probably use that.
Yt2600 for me!
Ooh, that’s a very cool one!
@@RadioFreeCoruscant had one in the edge of empire called the nebula slice modded as hell ! Basically a giant buzz droid
@@RadioFreeCoruscant also the fondor haul craft is also another one you can't go wrong with
That sounds cool!
The sound is bad. It's hard to watch.
Yeah, unfortunately I didn’t have time to re-record it this week. I will make sure next week’s video sounds better!
