Wonderful performance. Always felt that although WA Mozart was a genius that a musical title was always missing from his musical history. May l suggest 'The Master of the Serenade'. Especially when you consider how many he wrote for both Wind and String ensembles. Just a thought.
As of this writing, 23 persons gave a thumbs down to this exquisite composition. How could anyone dislike this gorgeous work? It's really true. There is no accounting for taste.
@@cesteres There's nothing wrong with the audio. The way I see it this is a case of 23 persons not appreciating the beauty of this composition. All of Mozart's works are sublime.
La tête du thème de l'Adagio semble emprunté au solo de hautbois du «Ah per questo» («Ah malgré moi», dans la version française) de l'Alceste de Gluck. Or, il se trouve qu'à l'époque où Mozart a composé cette Sérénade, il assistait justement aux répétitions d'Alceste qu'on allait donner peu après à Vienne. The beggining of the Adagio is quite similar to the oboe solo of the aria «Ah per questo» in Alceste by Gluck.
Thanks for that info! Having a look at Duckduck Go's images of Hubert's Swing, we see a number of close variations of that Swing, but none with the 2 statues framing the pic! And, the statue on the right can be seen in different poses! Interesting!
Es empfiehlt sich, mal die Quellen über die Tempi der Zeit zu studieren. Dann erscheinen umgekehrt die heute üblichen Tempi als gelegentlich bis öfter zu langsam. Heute wird aber auch die Musik der "Klassik" wie der Name schon sagt mit Andacht und Würde gehört, im Konzert muss es still sein etc. Das war seinerzeit ganz anders und vielleicht ein bisschen mit dem Konsum der heutigen Popmusik vergleichbar.
