Amazing performance by the Leader, musicians & maestro of this one of two pieces dedicated to the Haffner family. To have a Serenade & Symphony (no 35), composed by the same composer isn't bad going, in anyones book. Fantastic performance. Bravo one and all. Music rocks.
A few years ago when i was growing up I listened to this and didn't appreciate it as much as I do now, and even then I considered Mozart to tower over all the others
Thanks much for this high-fidelity sound with a high-definition video - a pleasure to both hear and view this virtuoso performance! A happy introduction for me to this excellent orchestra. Your serious demeanor does not mask the joy evident in your faces as you re-live Mozart's spontaneous delight in music-making. Your Rondeau soloist reminds me of the solemn intensity of our late principal Daniel Majeske in Cleveland.
Wow. A joyful performance! Janicke plays beautifully-sprightly with beautiful tone. And I appreciate the great musicianship and artistry here with one of my favorite Mozart compositions. Sections really listen, respond, and manage very clean entrances without sacrificing nuance. Thank you. A luxury that made my late afternoon workout here in Maryland less onerous. I was dancing on the elliptical:-) Hope you travel to Washington DC area, as unlikely I will be visiting Cologne.
Le entusiaste dichiarazioni di tutti i componenti sono assolutamente condivisibili🤩👏👏👏👏👏👏. Il concertmeister è superlativo ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Esistono ancora. Violino solo mai tanto apprezzato nelle numerose decine di esecuzioni ascoltate non so quante volte.
Marvelous to the last detail. What's the German expression... ? "Das macht Schule." An shining example for both the performance & appreciation of not just serenades, divertimentos & "cassations" of that era, but of all symphonic music, including earlier opera overtures which spurred on the development of this genre.
I think that in Mozart’s time the oboe players would switch to the flute for certain movements. Today we have pairs of oboists and flutists who take turns.
@@bonacim08 The term "Orient" to distinguish the geographic areas around China and Japan was a far better descriptor imo than just using the word "Asians" as has become the accepted practice recently. Asia has a huge number of races of people in it and when you say Asians today there is no way to quickly distinguish between a person from China or person from Russia or a person from India. It was a ridiculous change of phraseology imo.
The chamber orchestra is usually in the cancellous bone, if you must think of the acoustic place in the body. There is a lot of acoustic possibilities that don't require anything that leads to the spleen, which can be very rough on impurities in its matter stream.
I don't know about the history of the pieces, but I do note the Serenade, which is the radio thing of before there was radio. When the head wanted a different cat on the fence, the best thing to throw at the cat is first a shoe and then a book. There is not a lot of wiggle room there. Usually, the ordering is of people with really exaggerated privacy needs and reflexes, with a terrible power to call the shrill and tawdry beautiful. They may find this a waste of time and effort. If there is too much levelheaded attention to details that are real facts that cannot be escaped, the impatient with intolerable power demands and speed requests end up throwing egg on their face time and again. They end up loving their egg on their face more than anything. Anything separate from that egg cannot exist, because they find it a strange and bewildering country.
He was in Salzburg when he composed this Serenade akin with other masterworks ( violin concerts, piano concert k 175, symphonies, Masses etc.). But this dummy archbishop Colloredo who succeeded the good Schrattenbach how couldn't be aware of the genius of his young subject? He had ....the Maradona of music in his team and he forced him to resign!!
Los vientos tienen fallas muy notorias Por momentos no parece una serenata sino una marcha militar Creo necesario mas ensayo y mas afinamiento instrumental antes de salir al publico.
its like most classical music....technically complex and melodically impoverished....its just a disconnected and unconnected bunch of harmonious musical phrases all jammed together as rapidly as possible .... no middle no beginning no end ... you could start or stop it anywhere and not lose any of the musical sense, because it hops around constantly
impecável performance!... 😎💖👏🙏🎼
I love the formality of the scenario: Light, combination of colors, including the orchestra's; and obviously the magnificent performance. 🌹🌺🌹
How did Mozart do it? The beauty of this, and of so many of his compositions, borders on the supernatural.

Sparkling performance sans conductor. And nice to see Ryan Gosling on the viola! Bravo molto
Does look like a slightly heavier version of him.
Best laugh of the day! Of course it's the one and only Ryan. There's nothing he can't do.

7:27 slow movement and 18:20 menuet could have been partitioned on the video like it was done for the other movements.
Thanks for the upload.
Excellente interprétation avec beaucoup d'esprit et de vivacité, en plein accord avec l'espièglerie de Mozart
Attraction and fascination of Mozart are off the charts, and will transcend time and space and races of people

This piece was what Mozart was working on during July the fourth, 1776.
And then after 8 bars he heard about the revolution of the American colonies.. .
