When garages do oil changes this way they suck out as much as possible, then slowly top up with new oil while continuing to suck it out till it runs clear. Similar to replacing brake fluid.
You could've used the jump start posts on the car to power the pump and if you're worried it'll flatten the battery, just keep the engine running while you're using it👍🤣
Don't underestimate stupid people, there are people out there that don't get sarcasm, I told a colleague that he needed to top up his oil in his polo, he rang me that night complaining about how much it needed, "it took 2 and 1/2 bottles of oil" I said he should have bought a 5 litre bottle as it works out cheaper, He said, "They were 5 litre bottles." 😖
As ive said previously, exactly the reason i dont like these big main dealer and others, ie Halfords etc who just pump the old oil out. It was interesting to c that it left behind 200ish ml !!
Have you ever serviced a 1.6 diesel Citroen/Peugeot/Ford, if you drain the oil via the drain plug it always leaves 500ml of old oil! I reckon the pump will be perfect for that engine!
No mate I’m a motorcycle mechanic/MOT tester. I only work on my own/family’s cars. This is my boss’s. I intend to buy it off him when it depreciates enough for a loser like me to be able to afford it 😂
The next time you do an oil change on a vehicle could you drain the oil in the C1 and then put the used oil in the C1 for a bit of comedy? I took the oil from my Mrs's Honda after 10k and bunged it in my old Wagon R+, 2 years back and ran it for a further 2 years and 15k with no issues 🤣
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos now owning a Fiat with a 1.2 Fire engine it tends to "lose" a bit of oil like the Punto service video you did so now I don't even have to touch the drain plug it's a new filter and 2.8 litre top up when it gets low with what ever grade of oil is close to my hand and it runs and runs without issue 🤣 (joking)

@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos I've a snap on tool box drawer full of about thirty pairs of brand new vise grips ...and a milk crate full of old mole grips .. the vise grips get oiled and wiped and the vise grips get used ... all because the release lever works the other way on moles and are easier used in gloves ... so I know exactly what you mean.

That sounds like a good idea tbh 🤔
Seems like an easier, but slightly more expensive, method!
I’m lost: what’s that shinny thing I see in the sky? Not seen that before in one of your videos😝
Dunno, it’s fucked off now though.
I always like to leave the oil to drain overnight
I’ve done that before when I’ve had time

Yea same here. I think there was more like 4/500ml by the time it had settled too!

Maybe. Some cars are probably better to use the pump on due to the shape of the sump I suppose 🤔
Works on my C4 GP ll, measured the quantity that it extracted . Doesn’t work on my C1.
@@bordersw1239 I did the same experiment on my c1, future video 🤣

Not all of us are high achievers but st the same time not losers 😊
Why not just drain from under ha seems like you made more work for yourself
I did both, I did it as an experiment to see how much sucking the oil out left in compared to draining it at the sump plug
New motor!!!????
Nah, it’s my bosses. I’m hoping he’s gonna keep it long enough to depreciate into my price range though 😂
