@@JAYG6390 I actually patched the holes in the floor of his car for the next mot ,,,lol ,, but yes , Ive turned a few corners , the dry ice was mid 80s , shows how technology has moved on , back then the camera had to be plugged into a monitor to see the image too , and it wasnt flat screen , it was crt.

@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos It does foul the plugs of aircraft engines. The typical Cessna running 100LL needs plugs cleaned or replaced every 50 hours. At typical average automotive speeds, that's about 1500 miles. You will also have lead buildup throughout the engine, but especially in the head, where the heat is highest, and also in the rings. I'm an aircraft mechanic in the States. There is a reason why it's called avgas...it's designed for airplane engines, and airplane engines are designed around it. Would you eat dog food because it has a higher protein density? Or is dog food for dogs, human food for humans, and avgas for airplanes? Unless you are rebuilding your engine every 2000 hours, like an aircraft engine, you are just sending it to an early grave full of lead gunk that car engines do not have the open clearances to account for. Also, the ECU timing tables for most engines are generally not able to take advantage of octane above what you can get at the pump without tuning. You are just pissing money away.

Because planes dont have catalytic converters like your car does. Planes got dispensation for leaded fuel because of the extreme environments and importance of reliability. There is an approved no lead 100 octane for planes (g100ul) now, you could have used that​@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos

P.s I never said this was a good idea to run in a car with a catalyst, in fact if I remember right I’m pretty sure I actually say what you just said at some point in the video. I was merely experimenting to compare the good old high octane leaded stuff vs unleaded, and only put 2 gallon through iirc.

@@fremenondesand3896 I saw that video too! It’s a decent channel isn’t it. I’ve used diesel in the past and it has worked well. Before dropping the oil, we used to put a litre or 2 of diesel in the sump old lorries that I used to work on at my old job, and would bring a lot of crap out.

@StupidBlokeStupidVideos fab, Yea been back forth to garage dpf issues So many dpf cleaners not sure if they work as good as they claim or just snake oil Managed to pick up oil pump today from lidl . Will try oil change before next full service I noticed yiu have spare battery to work pump goingt o see if there's sowmthing available to plug into wall that converts to 12v so I can run pump

@@nasir_glasgow5274 dpf cleaners do usually work, but if your dpf is blocking up then there is usually an underlying issue such as a bad thermostat stopping the engine reaching temp or a fault code stopping the car from regen. Even something as simple as not enough fuel being in the tank can cause such issues

E16 is correct I believe, I just used a 13mm hex on it as I cba going back to my toolbox and getting an E16. A decent 13mm hex works fine.

Have you come across anything a little higher spec that will work with the original system? I’m looking to get the best sound I possibly can without changing the system or wiring extra speakers anywhere (I’m an idiot and this will only end badly!) Cheers

@@darrenpratt8803 the main thing you’ve got to check for is if the magnet in the back will fit in the hole in the dash if you go for higher spec/more powerful ones. If you’re using the original stereo though it’s possibly not a good idea to go for higher spec speakers as the stereo probably isn’t really powerful enough to drive them properly as I think it’s only about 10 watts rms per channel. I could be wrong though 🤔

@@richg.2579 this did that, I just took the drum off and let the bits fall out as it’s an auto and the handbrake is never used. Had to fit the new shoes for MOT though

I would always recommend replacing the springs also they are cheap
