    surprisingly simple, no need to piss about with a spring compressor death machine. keep up the fantastic camera skills. loving the use of a scissor jack as well

    Modern springs seems so much more skinnier than the lighter cars from the 80s and 90s my MOT tester and I was talking about this the other day. Great video as always 👍

      Yea they do seem smaller even though cars are heavier. Thanks mate

    You are a legend thank you. The other day I was sat in traffic and it felt like a bomb went off and the car suddenly sat a little lower. Thinking it’s a snapped spring

    Good use of Jacks and levers to get the job done as always. Don't know why but whilst on ebay today I bought a £25 torque wrench ??
    I usually just go with ur 3 settings, tight, really tight and really f... tight 😊

    • @StupidBlokeStupidVideos
      @StupidBlokeStupidVideos  8 месяцев назад +2

      Those are generally the only torque settings you need. A lot of the settings given are just to idiot-proof the job, and aren’t actually critical.

    Thank you for your video, it was very helpful. I changed mine yesterday, had to cut the bolts for the lower mounting for the rear shocks because of rust, but all in all it went easier than I thought, because usually here where I live the rust increases the time it takes to get done.

      @@reda827 glad it helped mate. Where I live they throw salt all over the roads in winter so we struggle with the same issues

    Few bolts not rmeoved but at the end it made easier not having to remove
    The two side smaller bolts and next to it theres another bolt which spwnner needs to hold the bolt to remove the bolt and then the wctual bolt and the steut bolt
    Well done made alot easier with your video to see what exactly needs doing keep videos comming

    Great video I was going to pay my mechanic but think I can manage with this video. Is there any special tool I need ? My springs are sagging I think.

    • @StupidBlokeStupidVideos
      @StupidBlokeStupidVideos  5 месяцев назад

      Not so much special tool, just takes a bit of force to move the arms into place etc

    Just changed the rear shocks (2days ago) on my e92. The driver's side rides about 10mm lower than the passenger side (which it did before changing the shocks) The spring looked fine but now I'm wondering if I should have a closer look now....
