- Just wanted to fly with 2 large burst lasers and see how it goes, test some special abilities for those and also see how 2 large multis work, truth is somewhere in the middle but with new special abilities you will be fine even if you have full multi-cannon loadout, just get right weapon abilities for your guns :)

Thanks, sadly I am long done with Elite, just couldn't watch anymore how Frontier is wasting a game with a such high potential, it could be so much more even with small changes but I guess their game designers are just bad at their job. Was fun back in 2015-2018 but now I will dive into New World fantasy mmo setting and hopefully enjoy it for few months at least :)
But elite is great for a year or so, before you start questioning every single of their mechanic and game design or when your friends got bored and leave you behind alone.

The multicannons are pretty powerful, but reliant on ammunition to function. You wanna make sure youre good on ammo before engaging a larger target, or that you can synthesize ammunition should you need to. He mentions this, but im posting for those who dont listen and go strait to the comments.

The jitter on rapid fire pulse lasers is so worth it, I set my chieftain up and my vulture up with class 3 gimballed pulse with rapid fire/phasing sequence

I got a beam and a multi, both on gimble. Works for me.
One melts shields and the other armor.
When I can finally afford to outfit it, I intend to rig up a Federal Corvette with Overcharged Multicannons in every hardpoint.
Everytime I see one of Kornelius' combat videos I go back to my Vulture. Then I see one of Obisidian Ant's exploration videos and go out in the Asp. Can't make up my mind!

Is it THAT amazing skill or npc didn't use boost to extend and turn around in 2016? I can sit like that on Anaconda, Python or FGS, that but no way I can repeat it with FDS so easily, they are still a food for vulture but always able to turn at me time to time. Even Anaconda often able to land some shots, it tries hard at least. May be its too dense asteroid field so AI doesn't boost to a rock ahead?

Have your thrust in the blue area, put at least 2 pips into engines. And use your vertical thrusters. What you do is basically lock onto your target orthogonally and trust downwards as much as you can, while pitching upwards.
Though it's much easier for him because of power distributor and engine modifications.

Also, make sure you don't have thrusters too powerful for you. I was overshooting them.
Back when Inertial impact didn't have a stupid 3 degrees of jitter....
I know it sounds wired but Vulture or Orca (say money doesn't matter). Orca has 2 med 1 large, Vulture has 2 large. Orca also has lots of space for hull + module reinforcement (I have 400 shields (b rated) and 1600 integrity (lightweight alloys) (hoping to upgrade both)) Not sure about Vulture but I do know it's much more manoeuvrable

Well shit, I've been using the Vulture wrong the whole time. I guess I need to be right on their ass the whole time.
Yup. Though even then you will struggle a bit. He has grade 5 mods on everything. Shields with superior resistances, 4 shield boosters with 64%. That is huge. Also faster engines, better power distributor and of course special effects on weapons.
Damn, that would be a Vulture I'd like to try out :)
Scramble spectrum works great and you proc'd it multiple times while saying it doesn't work.

If you’re going to be that close when you shoot at people then I’d suggest frag cannons with the double shot modification
Kornelius, do you have a vid that details what one needs to do for a great BH/CZ build? I mean engineers to do first, what weapons or components to focus on etc. Jobs like me just want to shoot people in RES and CZs, but I'd really like those best weapons as well.
shooting people in cz and res sites? pvp or pve? if you are asking you should probably not engage players yet, but pvp meta weapons are rails, plasma and all cannons (multis, frags, cannons) all with funny special effects, funnier weapons are mines and flechettes
I'd go with one of each personally, thermal and kinetic, but I'd also go for beams instead
It would be awesome to see Speed Specialized Cobra MkIII. Just how insanely fast you can go with the new mods it without resorting to outside boosters.
+Leon Shanobu useless, speed means light weight, light weight means low class or bad modules, no armor etc.
i noticed the NPCs are using highly modded shields and weapons in 2.2. I was wondering how they did so much damage to how little I am doing to them. I noticed almost everyone I scan them I see a warning message about shield frequency. That make ir a requirement to do the engineers grind if you want an equal chance.

Hi cmdr Kornelius. I've just started playing Elite Dangerous on my Mac, I am not playing the Horizon module yet because it is not available for Mac at the moment. But here is my question: Made a few 100 rare runs with a Cobra mk3 build for trading with 40 tons of cargo etc. Until I had enough credits to buy a nice Vulture. I saw your video Trying Vulture with large Burst Lasers or Multi Canons...and said wow this is what I need to kill some scary anaconda. So I made an exact replica of your configuration with no modifications to any parts. ( 2 x 3C Multi canons/ 4 x 0A Shield boosters/5C Bi-weave shield generator/ 4D Hull reinforcement package/ 1I planetary apparatus suite/1A M military grade composite/ 4A Power plant/5A Thrusters/ 4A FSD/ 3D life support/ 5A Power distribution...and took my Vulture out for a spin.And guess what happened.........I do not a have enough juice to run the life support module. I can not fire at anything or my ship systems will shut down, FSD is out of the question as well, did try to manage my modules priority but did not find a good solution, So how did you do it.....can I ask you for Help, because I really would love to play with my monster Vulture.
He modified his powerplant with engineers. The stock class 5A powerplant on a vulture only gives something like 15.6MW with engineer mods he has over 21MW so he can equip whatever he wants. Needless to say you need horizons for this. Your best bet if you wanna do this is download and run the windows version of ED on a virtual machine and buy horizons :( If you don't wanna do this and still want to play with vulture here are some pointers. First of all vulture is the most power starved ship in the game(also one of the deadliest). So there is no such thing as a fully A grade combat vulture especially if you want to use energy weapons. So you will have to make some sacrifices. My advice is to downgrade the thrusters to D5 and equip bi-weave shields since vulture is so agile you won't feel the thruster downgrade after that you just might have enough power to equip burst lasers but i won't recommend it. Before engineers the vultures optimal loadout was 2 large pulse lasers so I recommend using those. Was this from beta? I can only find info on engineers allowing up to lv3 upgrades for burst lasers. Which engineer got them to lv5?
none. frontier want us to rank up with 100 engineers to get 5 weapons at grade 5 so wait for next update
what happens when you want to outfit your ship for exploring will you then loose the engineers upgrades ????

you mean if you upgrade your ship and then sell modules? of course you lose them, only way to store modules is to buy ship, so you will have to buy another ship for exploration and keep upgraded one as well.

not sure what you mean, for people without DLC i have many extreme loadout videos and vulture review plus video from beta with un modded vulture, what more do you want?
I thought to get the Uber upgrades you had to have a dlc. And the older videos are kinda outdated. A lot of changes has happened to the ship.
name one change that has happened to the vulture since 2.0, it's all same just with mods you can squeeze extra 20% in most stats. same goes to weapons - they are same but you can adjust stats significantly, if you don't want to buy dlc all my "outdated" videos are exactly what you will be flying, outdated ship with outdated weapons and modules.
What kind of hotas do you use? I'm currently looking to buy one. $500.00 budget.

best would be warthog but it doesn't have yaw, best stick i had is thrustmaster t.160000, it just misses some hats and buttons, sadly there are no good hotas fort space sims

My friend two , after the second got behave strange too I got suspicious . Invite him home and OMG he treat it like it titanium - with such force i was wondering how the hell it held for 6 month of that kind of abuse).
Mine only has problems with buttons ( the silver 4 way hat has lost tack-tile feel but still move and works ( doesn't make "click" sound ).
Can't speak for all but by my experience the feel is little less for the money and that is the problem - people wrekt them because they expect 200 USD to be premium on the side of taking abuse and it's not good at that . Not AT ALL,

You're taking down Anacondas alone quicker than my Vulture takes down an Eagle. What gives? I wouldn't even take on an Asp single handed. Two weapons just isn't enough, even large ones.
It might be different NPC builds back then when I made this video, also most weapons do much more damage the closer you are to an enemy.
@@KorneliusBriedis I assume it's the former. I hadn't played in about 2 years. Got back into it a few weeks ago and I'm enjoying it again. It's nice to see bounty payments have gone up a lot. But killing other ships alone is not so easy now. People seem to rave about the vulture. But after a week with it I just don't see it myself. It's fairly slow for a fighter, running away isn't an option. And two hard points does little against anything but the weakest opponents. Especially when the power drains so quickly when using them. I assume the ship needs engineering, but that's a rabbit hole I don't want to deal with atm. Mine is mostly A rated where needed. I'm looking forward to earning my next ship soon to move on from the Vulture... The Ferdilance.

In normal I tried for fun the fixed medium multicannons.
Those already rip through small and medium ships. Makes sense that large multicannons rip apart large ships.

+Uk Gamer hhhhhh, what kind of upgrades as there are HUGE range of what you can get now, but i expect you can shoot with efficient beam and good power distributor very very long. i might try it to see extreme case scenario with large beam and large multi which makes most sense to have on vulture now, and then you can see exactly how long, but as i never used large bursts (because i don't like them) i wanted to see if something has changed now - i still don't like them, so pulse or beam it is for me ;) or multis with right special abilities.
Kornelius Briedis Is engineers a free update or do you need the season pass? I have the pass but friends have kinda given up on the game.
engineers is horizons update, you need to be able to land on planets to use them.

I put a lot of weeks PVPing in on the Vulture when it came out, but tbh with the new engineers patch and the HUGE grind involved and the requisite need to keep that 'edge' to be competitive in PVP I just cbf'd with Elite anymore as a whole the game was a grind, with each expansion being a new endless grind on top of the grind. Frontier really need to fix their shit and get better guidance because they're heading down a hole right now that even the endless cash of vapid fanboys won't support.

Scramble Spectrum - causes random malfunctions. Its a burst laser tho, not a beam laser.
It seems to me if you have the horizons DLC you can have some game breaking upgrades 1,400 shield strength what!! 21.46MW of power on the vulture.Jesus christ!!

You have to map the key for it. Its in options under targeting I think.

+Petr Skala loads of activities, play for 2-3 hours a day from launch and you will have money. i have loads of videos about that, rare goods, luxury trading,m wing trading, power play bonus trading, long range smuggling, done it all.

not necisarely. it cant be the extreem one way ore other. think of it this way. you got you'r first anaconda. you'r doing bounty hunting and say you'r laser turret snags somewon by axident whilst trying to fire on you'r enamy. you get a bounty on you'r head. then some player comes and kills you. and then you dont have credits to buy back the anaconda. also you jumped to conclushions so i now kno you think in a ilogical way. good day
rule number 1 - never fly ship you cannot pay insurance for, it's your fault if you lose it, killing someone in anaconda is impossible unless he makes mistakes, just don't engage players and you will be fine, problem is that there are so many players who know nothing and then whine on forums because they didn't know basics.
