- Going back in time with this video and i am in Hip 54530 Community Goal on a patrol...Out of nowhere i get interdicted by a known CMDR that pulls me out of supercruise...I noticed he was in a different squadron than before and we were in opposite sides again...
I guess his mission priorities had changed and i became a target so i had to concentrate and focus to survive this dangerous attack...His ship, is a very strong and spicy biweave Fer De Lance with 4 Plasma and a hammer...One of my best fights with the Vulture for sure,prepare for mayhem and i hope you'll enjoy it!

But the lack of real visual customizing of HUD is hurt.
@@nafnist if you can swing it switch to PC there's ways to fix that on pc
The fact you can target the canopy on a medium sized, agile ship like the FDL on purpose with a fixed aim, slow projectile weapon is freakin' scary. That is some next level combat skill.
Yeah so funny. Cant even hit a carrier with fixed.
Cant target canopy actually in sub systems. Plasma accelerators do splash damage.
When after ~1k hours you finally begin to understand what is what in ED combat, this videos start to look like hollywood action movies :)

Thanks mate,yeah it was a hell of a fight...24 minutes was the full encounter and it was aggressive all the time. I wanted to synth from before but we were dogfighting like crazy so when i saw that i need ammo i was already in a tight corner and 45% hull.
I took the chance to be more aggressive with a big risk of exploding and i decided whatever i do i will stay close to him,shoot him or synth and dont run far.
Except that's my style,i was sure that if he could regen while am running i would defo lose with so much damage in my hull. He had a rail too...The second synth i tried doesn't count much cause the panels froze and the game was stuttering for half a minute till i reload lol.
@@Star_In_VegA well knowing how you edit vids I expected the fight to be that long. Especially when I saw the 14 minutes total. I was like wth happened lol. And I didn't got disappointed
Great decision making there too. It's the little details that can cost you a fight or show you the way to victory. But you know that better than most out there 😁

Love watching as always. I've been dabbling in pvp quite a bit. I have a similar fdl build to his, only I run prismatics and instead of tc+tlb I run full phasing. Quite a fun build, but my fly style doesn't suit the fdl. I'm currently waiting for advanced plasma accelerators to finish my bi weave krait. I'm very good at orbiting, not so good at jousting. And honestly you have helped me a lot. I watch your videos to make notes on how jousters fly, and how they typically maneuver. So thanks again for posting. Stick with the Krait, it's an awesome ship with really low profile and for me personally is a nightmare when i try to hit it with plasma. If I wasn't a Python man i would defo had a Krait, it can be stronger in some ways. Hope you built your dream ship for fighting mate,O>
@@Star_In_VegA I found out the krait doesn't fit my flying style but the FDL does. I'm a 5 booster 5PA lightweight prismo FDL now. I'm in love with this ship

I am using the same vulture fit! I can't decide which experimentals work best for it though with efficient weapon. TCs look pretty clutch here with the SCB heat :) fun to have that option

So I decided to switch to PS4. I would like to know before buying, how much more difficult is it to control the ship from the gamepad? And how many people play on PS4? The default controler in Ps4 is doable, especially if you do some different bindings from the settings menu. But it depends how you are used to play Elite in the first place,hotas or mouse.
Am really used to it by now even though i used to play some simulators with hotas style controllers. After some time you gonna get used to it i guess like i did and you can put some backbuttons in the controller for more options and bindings.
There are lots of players in PS4 from launch in 2017,with the arrival of Odyssey i saw some move to Pc though. But there is still a good player count,from older and newer players so you ll find people to interact for sure. Hope you ll soon fly again whatever format you choose CMDR!

The shield profile of the vulture is actually almost as big from the front as the fdl
I dunno if it's exactly like this,but for sure the Vulture with the shield on seems much of a bigger target compared to other small ships CMDR.
@@Star_In_VegA I have 3d prints of most of the ships that are to scale and it's clearer. The fdl is 70% longer, 48% wider, but on height the vultures rear section is as tall as the cockpit of the fdl. Only the fins of the fdl really make it taller than the vulture at 15.4 meters vs 12.3
@@Star_In_VegA Would it be possible to fly the Vulture as a hulltank? After all, the hull and armour are quite good.
@@FlecheDeFer You can definitely use it as a hull tank with a shield or a shield less hull tank Cmdr.
I chose to make a hybrid Scb/hull build because I think it's better as an all rounder against most ships.
But hull tank works too,thing is you are more exposed against missiles,rails,GP Chargers etc.

@@Star_In_VegA Couldn't you afford one efficient and one short range? It's not like you will shot constantly, heat is easier to manage when you fly in FA-OFF.
What engineering did you do to that Vulture? I like that ship so much but I feel like I get rekt even with some engineering.

On this video it's almost a full G5 Vulture ,minus some internal modules that are not full.
Its a 2 Scb slots Vulture with deep plating hulls and armor around 1500,a little of a hybrid let's say.
Efficient plasma engineer with 2 conduit experimental effects that work only if I bank mostly.
If you really want to fight in a Vulture try to go G5 in engineering,it's a fantastic ship but you need to work it a lot to be efficient against a wider range of ships.
It can work as a hulltunk too with shield or even shield less but I chose a hybrid
solution thinking its better against some counter builds.
Give it time in terms of builds that suit you and for sure do the full G5 grind it's worth it,O>
Quick question Sir Knight.
I know you're on PlayStation, do you use the control pad or some kind of joystick/HOTAS?
Reason I'm asking is that I play on x box using the control pad, I've got 1000s of hours, Elite in trade and Exploration, Deadly in combat, 15 fully engineered ships and so on but I've never done PvP as I assumed there was a limit to how good you can get with a control pad?, that to be one of the guys who fly like you it requires a HOTAS.
Was I wrong?, if so I'd like to give it a go although actual skill might still be an issue for me !!!
Anyhow, keep looking after the harmless and keep up the videos.

Am playing in a default playstation controller with some custom bindings so i can do some things easier...Compared to a hotas or a scuff controller you are handicapped,meaning you need more time to make the simplest of moves but its duable. For sure,i can't fly the way i want and be as fast as i want with a default pad but i always try to break the limited choices it gives me performing some manuevres. Long story short, it's completely duable but you need some custom bindings to make some things easier.

Dunno,am only bored with the same bugs and lag in the game not so much from PvP. There a lot balancing issues there but in my Python or Vulture i never have time to get bored,am always trying to survive lol. Am on Ps4,playing on a normal controller CMDR ☑️ O>

Nope, it's a copycat.
I went with phasing sequence on my PAs for that reason.

I don't use Coriolis and other externals for builds but in general now am almost 1600 hull,800 mj reinforced shield and i run 2 shield cell bank slots 1x5 and 1x4.
My boost is 555 or 570 depending if i wear my armour or not.I am equipped with 2 boosters and 2 chaffs and my plasma are efficient and usually with thermal conduit experimentals that only work if i pop a Scb and get some heat.
It's a build made for wing fights but i use it for 1v1's and there is still room for minor improvements.

Shields are bi weave reinforced engineered with fast charge experimental with 2 boosters around 800 Mj strength

Thanx man,this is one of my best two fights with the Vulture all these months...It always takes two for a great tango in space and Rec was almost flawless...The actual fight was 24 minutes approximately,full aggressive and i enjoyed it a lot. Could go either way really in the end.
I guess you went to Pc too,i see a lot move there last months...As much as i love better FPS and graphics,am not into Pc online gaming for various of reasons😁

What loadout you use?
I use 2 thermal conduit efficient plasma that work only if I bank,it's not a spicy build in general. Alternative I go 1 efficient Tlb and 1 dispersal field plasma but still efficient for better pip management and more shots per full weapon distro.
Reinforced fast charge Shields with 2 boosters and 2 chaff and hull around 1100 to 1500 depending if I wear armor or not for almost maximum boost and speed.
2 Scbs slots 1x5A and 1x4A grade 4 engineer with boss cells experimental.
