I cover a number of challenges that shooting in the winter involves such as temperature and humidity changes and how to clean air rifles after being out in the worst weather.
i discuss power fluctuation through temperature change and how to adjust our stocks to suit wearing winter clothing.
This tips will be useful for target shooting and pest controllers too.
i discuss poi shift on my Anschutz 9015, Airmaks katran and the air arms xti50

Lots to think about in this video, I only shoot indoors when it’s cold my old body can’t handle being outside in the winter.
Wishing you and your family a very happy Christmas and new year, also seasons greetings to all the channel members.🎄🎁🥂

Agreed I also hate shooting in the cold. Doesn't help the fact I lost over 3 cm off 3 fingers on my left hand.

It's incredible how much condensation occurs inside the actions too. Always best avoided through careful handling where possible. Some rifles really struggle in the cold... 😉

Thanks, very informative as always . For when it starts freezing I bought a heated body warmer to keep my back warm. keep it on minimum runs for hours ♨.

I've considered the same, then realised I much prefer avoiding the cold as much as possible 😆

Great video. For your comfort I also recommend buying some radiator reflector (the stuff with 2 aluminium foil sheets and bubble wrap inbetween) take out the insole of your boot and cut the shape of your insoles from the radiator reflector. Get some double-sided tape, tape both sides of the reflector, tape the cut-out reflector to the inside of your boots. And finally tape the original insole to the cut-out reflector inside your boot.
I work outside in the cold and this helps keep my feet nice and toasty. By reflecting the heat lost from my feet back into my boots, rather than through the sole and into the ground! I tried it in light snow and whilst standing on it for a few minutes the snow beneath my feet didn't melt! 👌

Excellent vid, as a new shooter I find your no frills tell it how it is, perfect for me, I would like to ask, your glove, it’s a big hefty thing, is there a reason for that? Excellent vid, I’m subscribed, watched & hitting bells 😂😅

Its a target glove. It stops the pulse in your hand from affecting the shot.
Added bonus... They are nice and warm in the cold weather.

The glove is an anschutz one, it cuts the pulse being transmitted through to the rifle a fair bit and is super grippy 😉

My winter league results are better than summer league.
Cold, wind and rain dont have a detrimental effect. I even get higher scores in the wind and rain.
I have more issues with hot, sticky, no wind.
I think its because I concentrate more in cruddy weather.
